2 Kings 4:8-20
8Now there cameH1961 a dayH3117 when ElishaH477 passedH5674 overH5674 to 1ShunemH7766, whereH8033 there was a 2prominentH1419 womanH802, and she persuadedH2388 him to eatH398 3foodH3899. And so it was, as oftenH1767 as he passedH5674 by, he turnedH5493 in thereH8033 to eatH398 4foodH3899. 9She saidH559 to her husbandH376, “BeholdH2009 nowH4994, I perceiveH3045 that thisH1931 is a holyH6918 5manH376 of GodH430 passingH5674 by us continuallyH8548. 10PleaseH4994, let us 6makeH6213 a littleH6996 walledH7023 upperH5944 chamberH5944 and let us setH7760 a bedH4296 for him thereH8033, and a tableH7979 and a chairH3678 and a lampstandH4501; and it shall be, when he comesH935 to us, that he can turnH5493 in thereH8033.”
117One dayH3117 he cameH935 thereH8033 and turnedH5493 in to the upperH5944 chamberH5944 and 8restedH7901H8033. 12Then he saidH559 to 9GehaziH1522 his servantH5288, “CallH7121 thisH2088 ShunammiteH7767.” And when he had calledH7121 her, she stoodH5975 beforeH6440 him. 13He saidH559 to him, “SayH559 nowH4994 to her, ‘BeholdH2009, you have beenH2729 10carefulH2729 for us with allH3605 thisH2088 11careH2731; whatH4100 can I doH6213 for you? WouldH3426 you be spokenH1696 for to the kingH4428 orH176 to the captainH8269 of the armyH6635?’” And she 12answeredH559, “I liveH3427 amongH8432 my own peopleH5971.” 14So he saidH559, “WhatH4100 then is to be doneH6213 for her?” And GehaziH1522 13answeredH559, “TrulyH61 she hasH369 noH369 sonH1121 and her husbandH376 is oldH2204.” 15He saidH559, “CallH7121 her.” When he had calledH7121 her, she stoodH5975 in the doorwayH6607. 16Then he saidH559, “14At thisH2088 seasonH4150 15nextH2416 yearH6256 you will embraceH2263 a sonH1121.” And she saidH559, “NoH408, my lordH113, O manH376 of GodH430, 16do not lieH3576 to your maidservantH8198.”
17The womanH802 conceivedH2029 and boreH3205 a sonH1121 at that seasonH4150 17the nextH2416 yearH6256, as ElishaH477 had saidH1696 to her.
18When the childH3206 was grownH1431, the dayH3117 cameH1961 that he wentH3318 out to his fatherH1 to the reapersH7114. 19He saidH559 to his fatherH1, “My headH7218, my headH7218.” And he saidH559 to his servantH5288, “CarryH5375 him to his motherH517.” 20When he had takenH5375 him and broughtH935 him to his motherH517, he satH3427 on her 18lapH1290 untilH5704 noonH6672, and then diedH4191.
