25Now it cameוַיְהִ֕יvay.HiH1961about whenH3512Rachelרָחֵ֖לra.ChelH7354had borneיָלְדָ֥הYal.dahH3205Josephיוֹסֵ֑ףyo.SefH3130,that Jacobיַעֲקֹב֙ya.'a.KoH3290saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Labanלָבָ֔ןla.VanH3837, “Sendשַׁלְּחֵ֙נִי֙sha.le.Che.niH7971me awayH7971,that I may goוְאֵ֣לְכָ֔הve.'E.le.KhahH1980to my own placeמְקוֹמִ֖יme.ko.MiH4725and to my own countryוּלְאַרְצִֽי׃u.le.'ar.TziH776.

26Giveתְּנָ֞הte.NahH5414memy wivesנָשַׁ֣יna.ShaiH802and my childrenיְלָדַ֗יye.la.DaiH3206for whomאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834I have servedעָבַ֧דְתִּי'a.Vad.tiH5647you, and let me departוְאֵלֵ֑כָהve.'e.Le.khahH1980;for you yourselfאַתָּ֣ה'a.TahH859knowיָדַ֔עְתָּya.Da'.taH3045my serviceעֲבֹדָתִ֖י'a.vo.da.TiH5656whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834I haverenderedעֲבַדְתִּֽיךָ׃'a.vad.Ti.khaH5647you.”

27But Labanלָבָ֔ןla.VanH3837saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to him, “Ifאִם־'im-H518nowנָ֛אna'H4994it pleasesמָצָ֥אתִי חֵ֖ןma.Tza.ti chenH4672 H2580you, stay with me;I have divinedנִחַ֕שְׁתִּיni.Chash.tiH5172that the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068has blessedוַיְבָרֲכֵ֥נִיvay.va.ra.Khe.niH1288me on your accountבִּגְלָלֶֽךָ׃big.la.Le.khaH1558.”

28Hecontinuedוַיֹּאמַ֑רvai.yo.MarH559, “Nameנָקְבָ֧הna.ke.VahH5344me your wagesשְׂכָרְךָ֛se.kha.re.KhaH7939,and I will giveוְאֶתֵּֽנָה׃ve.'e.Te.nahH5414it.”

29But he saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to him, “You yourselfאַתָּ֣ה'a.TahH859knowיָדַ֔עְתָּya.Da'.taH3045howאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH854 H834I have servedעֲבַדְתִּ֑יךָ'a.vad.Ti.khaH5647you and howאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H854 H834your cattleמִקְנְךָ֖mik.ne.ChaH4735havefaredהָיָ֥הha.YahH1961with me.

30For you hadהָיָ֨הha.YahH1961littleמְעַט֩me.'AtH4592beforeלְפָנַי֙le.fa.NaiH6440I came and it hasincreasedוַיִּפְרֹ֣ץvai.yif.RotzH6555to a multitudeלָרֹ֔בla.RoH7230,and the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068has blessedוַיְבָ֧רֶךְvay.Va.rekhH1288youwherever I turnedלְרַגְלִ֑יle.rag.LiH7272.But nowוְעַתָּ֗הve.'a.TahH6258,whenמָתַ֛יma.TaiH4970shall I provideאֶֽעֱשֶׂ֥ה'e.'e.SehH6213for my own householdלְבֵיתִֽי׃le.vei.TiH1004alsoגַם־gam-H1571?”

31So he saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Whatמָ֣הmahH4100shall I giveאֶתֶּן־'e.ten-H5414you?” And Jacobיַעֲקֹב֙ya.'a.KoH3290saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “You shall not giveתִתֶּן־ti.ten-H5414me anythingמְא֔וּמָהme.'U.mahH3972.Ifאִם־'im-H518you will doתַּֽעֲשֶׂה־ta.'a.seh-H6213thisהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088onethingהַדָּבָ֣רha.da.VarH1697for me, I will againאָשׁ֛וּבָה'a.Shu.vahH7725pastureאֶרְעֶ֥ה'er.'EhH7462andkeepאֶשְׁמֹֽר׃'esh.MorH8104your flockצֹֽאנְךָ֖tzo.ne.KhaH6629:

32let me passאֶֽעֱבֹ֨ר'e.'e.VorH5674through your entireבְּכָל־be.kholH3605flockצֹֽאנְךָ֜tzo.ne.KhaH6629todayהַיּ֗וֹםhai.YomH3117,removingהָסֵ֨רha.SerH5493from thereמִשָּׁ֜םmi.ShamH8033everyכָּל־kol-H3605speckledנָקֹ֣דna.KodH5348and spottedוְטָל֗וּאve.ta.Lu'H2921sheepשֶׂ֣ה׀sehH7716and everyוְכָל־ve.kholH3605blackחוּם֙chumH2345oneשֶׂה־seh-H7716among the lambsבַּכְּשָׂבִ֔יםba.ke.sa.VimH3775and the spottedוְטָל֥וּאve.ta.Lu'H2921and speckledוְנָקֹ֖דve.na.KodH5348among the goatsבָּעִזִּ֑יםba.'i.ZimH5795; and suchshall be my wagesשְׂכָרִֽי׃se.kha.RiH7939.

33So myhonestyצִדְקָתִי֙tzid.ka.TiH6666will answerוְעָֽנְתָה־ve.'a.ne.tah-H6030for me laterבְּי֣וֹם מָחָ֔רbe.Yom ma.CharH4279 H3117,whenכִּֽי־ki-H3588you comeתָב֥וֹאta.Vo'H935concerningעַל־'al-H5921mywagesשְׂכָרִ֖יse.kha.RiH7939.EveryH3605oneH3605that is not speckledנָקֹ֨דna.KodH5348and spottedוְטָל֜וּאve.ta.Lu'H2921among the goatsבָּֽעִזִּ֗יםba.'i.ZimH5795and blackוְחוּם֙ve.ChumH2345among the lambsבַּכְּשָׂבִ֔יםba.ke.sa.VimH3775, if foundwith me, will be considered stolenגָּנ֥וּבga.NuvH1589.”

34Labanלָבָ֖ןla.VanH3837saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Goodהֵ֑ןHenH2005,let it be according to your wordכִדְבָרֶֽךָ׃khid.va.Re.khaH1697.”

35So he removedוַיָּ֣סַרvai.Ya.sarH5493on that dayבַּיּוֹם֩bai.yOmH3117the stripedהָֽעֲקֻדִּ֣יםha.'a.ku.DimH6124and spottedוְהַטְּלֻאִ֗יםve.ha.te.lu.'ImH2921maleהַתְּיָשִׁ֜יםha.te.ya.ShimH8495goatsH8495and allH3605the speckledהַנְּקֻדּ֣וֹתha.ne.ku.DotH5348and spottedוְהַטְּלֻאֹ֔תve.ha.te.lu.'OtH2921femaleהָֽעִזִּים֙ha.'i.ZimH5795goatsH5795,everyH3605oneH3605with whiteלָבָן֙la.VanH3836in it, and allH3605the blackH2345onesח֖וּםchumH2345among the sheepבַּכְּשָׂבִ֑יםba.ke.sa.VimH3775,and gaveוַיִּתֵּ֖ןvai.yi.TenH5414them into thecareבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027of his sonsבָּנָֽיו׃ba.NavH1121.

36And he putוַיָּ֗שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760a distance ofthreeשְׁלֹ֣שֶׁתshe.Lo.shetH7969days’יָמִ֔יםya.MimH3117journeyדֶּ֚רֶךְDe.rekhH1870betweenH996himself and Jacobיַעֲקֹ֑בya.'a.KoH3290,and Jacobוְיַעֲקֹ֗בve.ya.'a.KoH3290fedרֹעֶ֛הro.'EhH7462the restהַנּוֹתָרֹֽת׃ha.no.ta.RotH3498of Laban’sלָבָ֖ןla.VanH3837flocksצֹ֥אןtzonH6629.
