25Nowוַיְהִ֕יvay.HiH1961afterכַּאֲשֶׁ֛רka.'a.SherH834Rachelרָחֵ֖לra.ChelH7354אֶת־'et-H853had given birth toיָלְדָ֥הYal.dahH3205Josephיוֹסֵ֑ףyo.SefH3130,Jacobיַעֲקֹב֙ya.'a.KoH3290saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Labanלָבָ֔ןla.VanH3837, “Send me on my wayשַׁלְּחֵ֙נִי֙sha.le.Che.niH7971so I can returnוְאֵ֣לְכָ֔הve.'E.le.KhahH1980toאֶל־'el-H413my homelandמְקוֹמִ֖י וּלְאַרְצִֽי׃me.ko.Mi u.le.'ar.TziH4725H776.
26Giveתְּנָ֞הte.NahH5414meאֶת־'et-H853my wivesנָשַׁ֣יna.ShaiH802andוְאֶת־ve.'EtH853childrenיְלָדַ֗יye.la.DaiH3206for whomאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834I have served youעָבַ֧דְתִּי'a.Vad.tiH5647אֹֽתְךָ֛'o.te.KhaH853,that I may go on my wayוְאֵלֵ֑כָה כִּ֚יve.'e.Le.khah kiH1980H3588.Youאַתָּ֣ה'a.TahH859knowיָדַ֔עְתָּya.Da'.taH3045אֶת־'et-H853howאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834hard I have workedעֲבֹדָתִ֖י'a.vo.da.TiH5656for youעֲבַדְתִּֽיךָ׃'a.vad.Ti.khaH5647.”
27But Labanלָבָ֔ןla.VanH3837repliedוַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֵלָיו֙vai.Yo.mer 'e.LavH559H413, “Ifאִם־'im-H518I have foundמָצָ֥אתִיma.Tza.tiH4672favorחֵ֖ןchenH2580in your eyesבְּעֵינֶ֑יךָbe.'ei.Nei.khaH5869,please stayנָ֛אna'H4994.I have learned by divinationנִחַ֕שְׁתִּיni.Chash.tiH5172that the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068has blessed meוַיְבָרֲכֵ֥נִיvay.va.ra.Khe.niH1288because of youבִּגְלָלֶֽךָ׃big.la.Le.khaH1558.”
29Then Jacob answeredוַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלָ֔יוvai.Yo.mer 'e.LavH559H413, “Youאַתָּ֣ה'a.TahH859knowיָדַ֔עְתָּya.Da'.taH3045אֵ֖ת'etH853howאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834I have served youעֲבַדְתִּ֑יךָ'a.vad.Ti.khaH5647andוְאֵ֛תve.'EtH853howאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834your livestockמִקְנְךָ֖mik.ne.ChaH4735have thrivedהָיָ֥הha.YahH1961under my careאִתִּֽי׃'i.TiH854.
30Indeedכִּ֡יkiH3588,you hadהָיָ֨הha.YahH1961very littleמְעַט֩me.'AtH4592אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834before my arrivalלְפָנַי֙le.fa.NaiH6440,but now your wealthלָרֹ֔בla.RoH7230has increased many times overוַיִּפְרֹ֣ץvai.yif.RotzH6555.The LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068has blessedוַיְבָ֧רֶךְvay.Va.rekhH1288youאֹתְךָ֖'o.te.KhaH853wherever I set footלְרַגְלִ֑יle.rag.LiH7272.But nowוְעַתָּ֗הve.'a.TahH6258,whenמָתַ֛יma.TaiH4970may Iאָנֹכִ֖י'a.no.KhiH595alsoגַם־gam-H1571provideאֶֽעֱשֶׂ֥ה'e.'e.SehH6213for my own householdלְבֵיתִֽי׃le.vei.TiH1004?”
31“Whatמָ֣הmahH4100can I giveאֶתֶּן־'e.ten-H5414you?”Laban askedוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559. “You do notלֹא־lo'-H3808need to giveתִתֶּן־ti.ten-H5414meanythingמְא֔וּמָהme.'U.mahH3972,”Jacob repliedוַיֹּ֤אמֶר יַעֲקֹב֙vai.Yo.mer ya.'a.KoH3290H559. “Ifאִם־'im-H518you doתַּֽעֲשֶׂה־ta.'a.seh-H6213thisהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088one thingהַדָּבָ֣רha.da.VarH1697for me,I will keep onאָשׁ֛וּבָה'a.Shu.vahH7725shepherdingאֶרְעֶ֥ה'er.'EhH7462and keepingאֶשְׁמֹֽר׃'esh.MorH8104your flocksצֹֽאנְךָ֖tzo.ne.KhaH6629.
32Let me goאֶֽעֱבֹ֨ר'e.'e.VorH5674through allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605your flocksצֹֽאנְךָ֜tzo.ne.KhaH6629todayהַיּ֗וֹםhai.YomH3117and removeהָסֵ֨רha.SerH5493from themמִשָּׁ֜םmi.ShamH8033everyכָּל־kol-H3605speckledנָקֹ֣דna.KodH5348or spottedוְטָל֗וּאve.ta.Lu'H2921sheepשֶׂ֣ה׀sehH7716,everyוְכָל־ve.kholH3605dark-coloredחוּם֙chumH2345lambשֶׂה־ בַּכְּשָׂבִ֔יםseh- ba.ke.sa.VimH7716H3775,and every spottedוְטָל֥וּאve.ta.Lu'H2921or speckledוְנָקֹ֖דve.na.KodH5348goatבָּעִזִּ֑יםba.'i.ZimH5795.These will beוְהָיָ֖הve.ha.YahH1961my wagesשְׂכָרִֽי׃se.kha.RiH7939.
33So my honestyצִדְקָתִי֙tzid.ka.TiH6666will testifyוְעָֽנְתָה־ve.'a.ne.tah-H6030for mewhenכִּֽי־ki-H3588you come to checkתָב֥וֹא לְפָנֶ֑יךָta.Vo' le.fa.Nei.khaH935H6440onעַל־'al-H5921my wagesשְׂכָרִ֖יse.kha.RiH7939in the futureבְּי֣וֹם מָחָ֔רbe.Yom ma.CharH3117H4279.If I haveאִתִּֽי׃'i.TiH854anyכֹּ֣לkolH3605goatsבָּֽעִזִּ֗יםba.'i.ZimH5795thatאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834are notאֵינֶנּוּ֩'ei.ne.NuH369speckledנָקֹ֨דna.KodH5348or spottedוְטָל֜וּאve.ta.Lu'H2921,or any lambsבַּכְּשָׂבִ֔יםba.ke.sa.VimH3775that are not dark-coloredוְחוּם֙ve.ChumH2345,theyה֖וּאhu'H1931will be considered stolenגָּנ֥וּבga.NuvH1589.”
35That veryהַה֨וּאha.Hu'H1931אֶת־'et-H853dayבַּיּוֹם֩bai.yOmH3117Laban removedוַיָּ֣סַרvai.Ya.sarH5493all the streakedהָֽעֲקֻדִּ֣יםha.'a.ku.DimH6124or spottedוְהַטְּלֻאִ֗יםve.ha.te.lu.'ImH2921male goatsהַתְּיָשִׁ֜יםha.te.ya.ShimH8495andוְאֵ֤תve.'EtH853everyכָּל־kol-H3605speckledהַנְּקֻדּ֣וֹתha.ne.ku.DotH5348or spottedוְהַטְּלֻאֹ֔תve.ha.te.lu.'OtH2921female goatהָֽעִזִּים֙ha.'i.ZimH5795—every oneכֹּ֤לkolH3605thatאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834had any whiteלָבָן֙la.VanH3836on it—and everyוְכָל־ve.kholH3605dark-coloredח֖וּםchumH2345lambבַּכְּשָׂבִ֑יםba.ke.sa.VimH3775,and he placed themוַיִּתֵּ֖ןvai.yi.TenH5414under the careבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027of his sonsבָּנָֽיו׃ba.NavH1121.
36Then he putוַיָּ֗שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760a three-dayשְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת יָמִ֔יםshe.Lo.shet ya.MimH7969H3117journeyדֶּ֚רֶךְDe.rekhH1870between himselfH996and Jacobיַעֲקֹ֑בya.'a.KoH3290,while Jacobוְיַעֲקֹ֗בve.ya.'a.KoH3290was shepherdingרֹעֶ֛הro.'EhH7462אֶת־'et-H853the restהַנּוֹתָרֹֽת׃ha.no.ta.RotH3498of Laban’sלָבָ֖ןla.VanH3837flocksצֹ֥אןtzonH6629.
