18Then the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהִ֔ים'E.lo.HimH430saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559, “It is not goodט֛וֹבTovH2896for the manהָֽאָדָ֖םha.'a.DamH120to be aloneלְבַדּ֑וֹle.va.DoH905;I will makeאֶֽעֱשֶׂהּ־'e.'e.seh-H6213him a helperעֵ֖זֶר'E.zerH5828suitableכְּנֶגְדּֽוֹ׃ke.neg.DoH5048for him.”

19Out of the groundהָֽאֲדָמָ֗הha.'a.da.MahH127the Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהִ֜ים'E.lo.HimH430formedוַיִּצֶר֩vai.yi.TzerH3335everyכָּל־kol-H3605beastH2421of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶה֙ha.sa.DehH7704and everyכָּל־kol-H3605birdע֣וֹףofH5775of theskyהַשָּׁמַ֔יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064, andbroughtוַיָּבֵא֙vai.ya.Ve'H935themto the manהָ֣אָדָ֔םha.'a.DamH120to seeלִרְא֖וֹתlir.'otH7200whatמַה־mah-H4100he would callיִּקְרָא־yik.ra'-H7121them; and whateverוְכֹל֩ אֲשֶׁ֨רve.Khol 'a.SherH3605 H834the manהָֽאָדָ֛םha.'a.DamH120calledיִקְרָא־yik.ra'-H7121a livingH2416creatureנֶ֥פֶשׁNe.feshH5315,that was its nameשְׁמֽוֹ׃she.MoH8034.

20The manהָֽאָדָ֜םha.'a.DamH120gaveוַיִּקְרָ֨אvai.yik.Ra'H7121namesשֵׁמ֗וֹתshe.MotH8034to allלְכָל־le.kholH3605the cattleהַבְּהֵמָה֙ha.be.he.MahH929,and to the birdsוּלְע֣וֹףu.le.'ofH5775of theskyהַשָּׁמַ֔יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,and to everyוּלְכֹ֖לu.le.KholH3605beastH2421of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֑הha.sa.DehH7704, but forAdamוּלְאָדָ֕םu.le.'a.DamH121there was not foundמָצָ֥אma.Tza'H4672a helperעֵ֖זֶר'E.zerH5828suitableכְּנֶגְדּֽוֹ׃ke.neg.DoH5048for him.

21So the Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהִ֧ים׀'E.lo.HimH430caused adeepתַּרְדֵּמָ֛הtar.de.MahH8639sleepH8639to fallוַיַּפֵּל֩vai.ya.PelH5307upon the manהָאָדָ֖םha.'a.DamH120,and he sleptוַיִּישָׁ֑ןvai.yi.ShanH3462;then He tookוַיִּקַּ֗חvai.yi.KachH3947oneאַחַת֙'a.ChatH259of his ribsמִצַּלְעֹתָ֔יוmi.tzal.'o.TavH6763and closedוַיִּסְגֹּ֥רvai.yis.GorH5462up the fleshבָּשָׂ֖רba.SarH1320at that placeתַּחְתֶּֽנָּה׃tach.Te.nahH8478.

22The Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהִ֧ים׀'E.lo.HimH430fashionedוַיִּבֶן֩vai.yi.VenH1129into a womanלְאִשָּׁ֑הle.'i.ShahH802the ribהַצֵּלָ֛עha.tze.La'H6763whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834He had takenלָקַ֥חla.KachH3947from the manהָֽאָדָ֖םha.'a.DamH120,and broughtוַיְבִאֶ֖הָvay.vi.'E.haH935her to the manהָֽאָדָֽם׃Ha.'a.DamH120.
