Prophecy against Gog--Invaders Destroyed

1“Andyou, sonבֶן־ven-H1121of manאָדָם֙'a.DamH120,prophesyהִנָּבֵ֣אhi.na.Ve'H5012againstעַל־'al-H5921Gogגּ֔וֹגGogH1463and sayוְאָ֣מַרְתָּ֔ve.'A.mar.taH559, ‘Thusכֹּ֥הkohH3541saysאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GodH3068, “BeholdH2009,I am againstאֵלֶ֙יךָ֙'e.Lei.khaH413you, O Gogגּ֔וֹגGogH1463,princeנְשִׂ֕יאne.Si'H5387of RoshH7220,Meshechמֶ֥שֶׁךְMe.shekhH4902and Tubalוְתֻבָֽל׃ve.tu.ValH8422;

2and I will turnוְשֹׁבַבְתִּ֙יךָ֙ve.shoav.Ti.khaH7725you aroundH7725,driveוְשִׁשֵּׁאתִ֔יךָve.shi.she.Ti.khaH8338you on, takeוְהַעֲלִיתִ֖יךָve.ha.'a.li.Ti.khaH5927you up from the remotestמִיַּרְכְּתֵ֣יmi.yar.ke.TeiH3411partsH3411of the northצָפ֑וֹןtza.FonH6828and bringוַהֲבִאוֹתִ֖ךָva.ha.vi.'o.Ti.khaH935you againstעַל־'al-H5921the mountainsהָרֵ֥יha.ReiH2022of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

3I willstrikeוְהִכֵּיתִ֥יve.hi.kei.TiH5221your bowקַשְׁתְּךָ֖kash.te.ChaH7198from your leftשְׂמֹאולֶ֑ךָse.mo.Le.khaH8040handמִיַּ֣דmi.YadH3027and dashH5307downH5307your arrowsוְחִצֶּ֕יךָve.chi.Tzei.khaH2671from your rightיְמִינְךָ֖ye.mi.ne.KhaH3225handמִיַּ֥דmi.YadH3027.

4You willfallתִּפּ֗וֹלti.PolH5307on the mountainsהָרֵ֨יha.ReiH2022of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֜לYis.ra.'ElH3478,you and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605your troopsאֲגַפֶּ֔יךָ'a.ga.Pei.khaH102and the peoplesוְעַמִּ֖יםve.'a.MimH5971whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834are with you; I will giveנְתַתִּ֥יךָne.ta.Ti.khaH5414you asfoodלְאָכְלָֽה׃le.'okh.LahH402to everyכָּל־kol-H3605kindכָּנָ֛ףka.NafH3671of predatoryלְעֵ֨יטle.'EitH5861birdצִפּ֧וֹרtzi.PorH6833and beastH2421of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֖הha.sa.DehH7704.

5You will fallתִּפּ֑וֹלti.PolH5307on theopenפְּנֵ֥יpe.NeiH6440fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֖הha.sa.DehH7704;for it is I who have spokenדִבַּ֔רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696,”declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068.

6“And I will sendוְשִׁלַּחְתִּי־ve.shi.lach.ti-H7971fireאֵ֣שׁ'eshH784upon Magogבְּמָג֔וֹגbe.ma.GogH4031and those who inhabitוּבְיֹשְׁבֵ֥יu.ve.yo.she.VeiH3427thecoastlandsהָאִיִּ֖יםha.'i.YimH339in safetyלָבֶ֑טַחla.Ve.tachH983;and they will knowוְיָדְע֖וּve.ya.de.'UH3045that I am the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

7“Myholyקָדְשִׁ֜יkod.shiH6944nameשֵׁ֨םshemH8034I will makeאוֹדִ֗יעַ'o.Di.a'H3045knownוְיָדְע֤וּve.ya.de.'UH3045in the midstבְּתוֹךְ֙be.toKhH8432of My peopleעַמִּ֣י'a.MiH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478;and I will not let My holyקָדְשִׁ֖יkod.shiH6944nameשֵׁם־shem-H8034beprofanedאַחֵ֥ל'a.ChelH2490anymoreע֑וֹדodH5750. And thenationsהַגּוֹיִם֙ha.go.YimH1471will knowH3045that I am the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, theHolyקָד֖וֹשׁka.Do.oshH6918OneH6918in Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃be.Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

8Beholdהִנֵּ֤הhi.NehH2009,it is comingבָאָה֙va.'AhH935and it shall be doneוְנִֽהְיָ֔תָהve.nih.Ya.tahH1961,”declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068. “That is the dayהַיּ֖וֹםhai.YomH3117of whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834I have spokenדִּבַּֽרְתִּי׃di.Bar.tiH1696.

9“Then those who inhabitיֹשְׁבֵ֣י׀yo.she.VeiH3427the citiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478willgoוְֽיָצְא֞וּve.ya.tze.'UH3318out and makeH1197firesH1197with the weaponsבְּנֶ֨שֶׁקbe.Ne.shekH5402and burnH8026them,both shieldsוּמָגֵ֤ןu.ma.GenH4043and bucklersוְצִנָּה֙ve.tzi.NahH6793,bowsבְּקֶ֣שֶׁתbe.Ke.shetH7198and arrowsוּבְחִצִּ֔יםu.ve.chi.TzimH2671,warH4731clubsH4731and spearsוּבְרֹ֑מַחu.ve.Ro.machH7420,and for sevenשֶׁ֥בַעShe.va'H7651yearsשָׁנִֽים׃sha.NimH8141they will makeH1197firesאֵ֖שׁ'eshH784of them.

10They will not takeיִשְׂא֨וּyis.'UH5375woodעֵצִ֜ים'e.TzimH6086from the fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֗הha.sa.DehH7704or gatherH2404firewoodH2404from the forestsהַיְּעָרִ֔יםhai.ye.'a.RimH3293,for they will makeיְבַֽעֲרוּ־ye.va.'a.ru-H1197firesאֵ֑שׁ'EshH784with the weaponsבַנֶּ֖שֶׁקva.Ne.shekH5402;and they will takeH7997the spoilH7997of those who despoiledH7997them and seizeH962theplunderH962of those who plunderedH962them,” declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068.

11“On that dayבַיּ֣וֹםvai.YomH3117I will giveאֶתֵּ֣ן'e.TenH5414Gogלְגוֹג֩׀le.goyGH1463a burialקֶ֜בֶרKe.verH6913groundמְקֽוֹם־me.kom-H4725thereשָׁ֨םshamH8033in Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לbe.Yis.ra.'ElH3478,the valleyגֵּ֤יgeiH1516of those who passהָעֹֽבְרִים֙ha.'oe.RimH5674by eastקִדְמַ֣תkid.MatH6926of the seaהַיָּ֔םhai.YamH3220,and it will blockH2629offH2629those who would passהָעֹֽבְרִ֑יםha.'oe.RimH5674by. So they will buryוְקָ֣בְרוּve.Ka.ve.ruH6912Gogגּוֹג֙goyGH1463thereשָׁ֗םShamH8033with allכָּל־kol-H3605hishordeהֲמוֹנ֔וֹha.mo.NoH1995,and they will callוְקָ֣רְא֔וּve.Ka.re.'UH7121itthe valleyגֵּ֖יאgei'H1516ofHamon-gogH1996.

12For sevenשִׁבְעָ֖הshiv.'AhH7651monthsחֳדָשִֽׁים׃cho.da.ShimH2320the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478will be buryingוּקְבָרוּם֙u.ke.va.RumH6912them in orderלְמַ֖עַןle.Ma.'anH4616tocleanseטַהֵ֣רta.HerH2891the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776.

13Even allכָּל־kol-H3605the peopleעַ֣ם'amH5971of the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776will buryוְקָֽבְרוּ֙ve.ka.ve.RuH6912them; and it will be to theirrenownלְשֵׁ֑םle.ShemH8034onthe dayי֚וֹםYomH3117that Iglorifyהִכָּ֣בְדִ֔יhi.Ka.ve.DiH3513Myself,” declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068.

14“They will setיַבְדִּ֙ילוּ֙yav.Di.luH914apartH914menH376who will constantlyתָמִ֤ידta.MidH8548passH5674through the landבָּאָ֔רֶץba.'A.retzH776,buryingמְקַבְּרִ֣יםme.ka.be.RimH6912those who were passingH5674throughH5674,evenH853those leftהַנּוֹתָרִ֛יםha.no.ta.RimH3498on the surfaceפְּנֵ֥יpe.NeiH6440of the groundהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776,in order to cleanseלְטַֽהֲרָ֑הּle.ta.ha.RahH2891it. At the endמִקְצֵ֥הmik.TzehH7097of sevenשִׁבְעָֽה־shiv.'ah-H7651monthsחֳדָשִׁ֖יםcho.da.ShimH2320they will makeH2713a searchיַחְקֹֽרוּ׃yach.Ko.ruH2713.

15As those who passוְעָבְר֤וּve.'a.ve.RuH5674through the landבָּאָ֔רֶץba.'A.retzH776passהָעֹֽבְרִים֙ha.'oe.RimH5674throughH5674and anyone seesוְרָאָה֙ve.ra.'AhH7200a man’sאָדָ֔ם'a.DamH120boneעֶ֣צֶם'E.tzemH6106, then he willsetוּבָנָ֥הu.va.NahH1129up a markerצִיּ֑וּןtzi.YunH6725by it untilעַ֣ד'adH5704the buriersקָבְר֤וּka.ve.RuH6912have buriedהַֽמְקַבְּרִ֔יםham.ka.be.RimH6912it in the valleyגֵּ֖יאgei'H1516ofHamon-gogH1996.

16And evenוְגַ֥םve.GamH1571thenameשֶׁם־shem-H8034of thecityעִ֛יר'irH5892will be Hamonahהֲמוֹנָ֖הha.mo.NahH1997.So they will cleanseוְטִהֲר֥וּve.ti.ha.RuH2891the landהָאָֽרֶץ׃ סha.'A.retzH776.”’

17“As for you, sonבֶן־ven-H1121of manאָדָ֜ם'a.DamH120,thusכֹּֽה־koh-H3541saysאָמַ֣ר׀'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068, ‘Speakאֱמֹר֩'e.MorH559to everyכָּל־kol-H3605kindכָּנָ֜ףka.NafH3671ofbirdלְצִפּ֨וֹרle.tzi.PorH6833and to everyוּלְכֹ֣ל׀u.le.KholH3605beastH2421of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֗הha.sa.DehH7704, “Assembleהִקָּבְצ֤וּhi.ka.ve.TzuH6908and comeוָבֹ֙אוּ֙va.Vo.'uH935,gatherהֵאָסְפ֣וּhe.'a.se.FuH622from everyH5439sideH5439to My sacrificeזִבְחִ֗יziv.ChiH2077whichאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834I am going tosacrificeזֹבֵ֤חַzo.Ve.achH2076for you, as a greatגָּד֔וֹלga.DolH1419sacrificeזֶ֣בַחZe.vachH2077on the mountainsהָרֵ֣יha.ReiH2022of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,that you may eatוַאֲכַלְתֶּ֥םva.'a.khal.TemH398fleshבָּשָׂ֖רba.SarH1320and drinkוּשְׁתִ֥יתֶםu.she.Ti.temH8354bloodדָּֽם׃DamH1818.

18You willeatתֹּאכֵ֔לוּto.Khe.luH398the fleshבְּשַׂ֤רbe.SarH1320of mightyH1368menH1368and drinkתִּשְׁתּ֑וּtish.TuH8354the bloodוְדַם־ve.dam-H1818of the princesנְשִׂיאֵ֥יne.si.'EiH5387of the earthהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776, as though they wereramsאֵילִ֨ים'ei.LimH352,lambsכָּרִ֤יםka.RimH3733,goatsוְעַתּוּדִים֙ve.'a.tu.DimH6260andbullsפָּרִ֔יםpa.RimH6499,allכֻּלָּֽם׃ku.LamH3605of them fatlingsמְרִיאֵ֥יme.ri.'EiH4806ofBashanבָשָׁ֖ןva.ShanH1316.

19So you will eatוַאֲכַלְתֶּם־va.'a.khal.tem-H398fatחֵ֣לֶבChe.levH2459until you are gluttedלְשָׂבְעָ֔הle.sa.ve.'AhH7654,and drinkוּשְׁתִ֥יתֶםu.she.Ti.temH8354bloodדָּ֖םdamH1818until you are drunkלְשִׁכָּר֑וֹןle.shi.ka.RonH7943,from My sacrificeמִזִּבְחִ֖יmi.ziv.ChiH2077whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834I have sacrificedזָבַ֥חְתִּיza.Vach.tiH2076for you.

20You will be gluttedוּשְׂבַעְתֶּ֤םu.se.va'.TemH7646at My tableשֻׁלְחָנִי֙shul.cha.NiH7979withhorsesס֣וּסsusH5483and charioteersוָרֶ֔כֶבva.Re.khevH7393,with mightyH1368menH1368and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the menאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of warמִלְחָמָ֑הmil.cha.MahH4421,”declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068.

21“And I will setוְנָתַתִּ֥יve.na.ta.TiH5414Mygloryכְּבוֹדִ֖יke.vo.DiH3519among the nationsבַּגּוֹיִ֑םba.go.YimH1471;and allכָל־khol-H3605the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֗םha.go.YimH1471will seeוְרָא֣וּve.ra.'UH7200My judgmentמִשְׁפָּטִי֙mish.pa.TiH4941whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834I have executedעָשִׂ֔יתִי'a.Si.tiH6213and My handיָדִ֖יya.DiH3027whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834I have laidשַׂ֥מְתִּיSam.tiH7760on them.

22And the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478willknowוְיָֽדְעוּ֙ve.ya.de.'UH3045that I am the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068their Godאֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֑ם'e.lo.hei.HemH430from that dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117onwardוָהָֽלְאָה׃va.Hal.'ahH1973.

23The nationsהַ֠גּוֹיִםHa.go.yimH1471will knowוְיָדְע֣וּve.ya.de.'UH3045that the houseבֵֽית־veit-H1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478wentH1540into exileגָּל֣וּga.LuH1540for theiriniquityבַעֲוֹנָ֞םva.'a.vo.NamH5771becauseעַ֚ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר'al 'a.SherH5921 H834they actedמָֽעֲלוּ־ma.'a.lu-H4603treacherouslyH4603against Me, and Ihidוָאַסְתִּ֥רva.'as.TirH5641My faceפָּנַ֖יpa.NaiH6440from them; so I gaveוָֽאֶתְּנֵם֙va.'e.te.NemH5414them into the handבְּיַ֣דbe.YadH3027of their adversariesצָרֵיהֶ֔םtza.rei.HemH6862,and allכֻּלָּֽם׃ku.LamH3605of them fellוַיִּפְּל֥וּvai.yi.pe.LuH5307by the swordבַחֶ֖רֶבva.Che.revH2719.

24According to their uncleannessכְּטֻמְאָתָ֥םke.tum.'a.TamH2932and according to their transgressionsוּכְפִשְׁעֵיהֶ֖םu.khe.fish.'ei.HemH6588I dealtעָשִׂ֣יתִי'a.Si.tiH6213with them, and I hidוָאַסְתִּ֥רva.'as.TirH5641My faceפָּנַ֖יpa.NaiH6440from them.”’”

25Thereforeלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651thusכֹּ֤הkohH3541saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068, “Nowעַתָּ֗ה'a.TahH6258I willrestoreאָשִׁיב֙'a.ShivH7725the fortunesשְׁב֣וּתshe.vitH7622of Jacobיַֽעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290and haveH7355mercyH7355on the wholeכָּל־kol-H3605houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478; and I will bejealousוְקִנֵּאתִ֖יve.ki.ne.TiH7065for My holyקָדְשִֽׁי׃kod.shiH6944nameלְשֵׁ֥םle.ShemH8034.

26They willforgetוְנָשׂוּ֙ve.na.SuH5375their disgraceכְּלִמָּתָ֔םke.li.ma.TamH3639and allכָּל־kol-H3605their treacheryמַעֲלָ֖םma.'a.LamH4604whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834theyperpetratedמָעֲלוּ־ma.'a.lu-H4603against Me, when theyliveבְּשִׁבְתָּ֧םbe.shiv.TamH3427securelyלָבֶ֖טַחla.Ve.tachH983on their ownlandאַדְמָתָ֛ם'ad.ma.TamH127withnoH369oneH369to makeH2729themafraidH2729.

27When Ibringבְּשׁוֹבְבִ֤יbe.sho.ViH7725them backH7725from the peoplesהָ֣עַמִּ֔יםha.'a.MimH5971and gatherוְקִבַּצְתִּ֣יve.ki.batz.TiH6908them from the landsמֵֽאַרְצ֖וֹתme.'ar.TzotH776of their enemiesH340, then I shall besanctifiedוְנִקְדַּ֣שְׁתִּיve.nik.Dash.tiH6942through them in the sightלְעֵינֵ֖יle.'ei.NeiH5869of the manyרַבִּֽים׃ra.BimH7227nationsהַגּוֹיִ֥םha.go.YimH1471.

28Then they will knowוְיָדְע֗וּve.ya.de.'UH3045that I am the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068their Godאֱלֹ֣הֵיהֶ֔ם'e.Lo.hei.HemH430because I made them goH1540into exileבְּהַגְלוֹתִ֤יbe.hag.lo.TiH1540amongאֶל־'el-H413the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֔םha.go.YimH1471,and then gatheredוְכִנַּסְתִּ֖יםve.khi.nas.TimH3664them againto their own landאַדְמָתָ֑ם'ad.ma.TamH127;and I will leaveאוֹתִ֥יר'o.TirH3498noneוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808of them thereשָֽׁם׃ShamH8033anyH5750longerH5750.
