2Thusכֹּ֤הkohH3541saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GodH3068, “Becauseיַ֣עַןYa.'anH3282the enemyH340has spokenאָמַ֧ר'a.MarH559againstעֲלֵיכֶ֖ם'a.lei.KhemH5921you, ‘Ahaהֶאָ֑חhe.'AchH1889!’and, ‘The everlastingעוֹלָ֔םo.LamH5769heightsוּבָמ֣וֹתu.va.MotH1116have becomeהָ֥יְתָהHa.ye.tahH1961our possessionלְמֽוֹרָשָׁ֖הle.mo.ra.ShahH4181,’

7Thereforeלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651thusכֹּ֤הkohH3541saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068, ‘I haveswornנָשָׂ֣אתִי יָדִ֑יna.Sa.ti ya.DiH5375H3027that surelyאִם־ לֹ֤א'im- lo'H518H3808the nationsהַגּוֹיִם֙ha.go.YimH1471whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834are aroundמִסָּבִ֔יבmi.sa.VivH5439you will themselvesהֵ֖מָּהHe.mahH1992endureיִשָּֽׂאוּ׃yi.Sa.'uH5375their insultsכְּלִמָּתָ֥םke.li.ma.TamH3639.
8But you, O mountainsהָרֵ֤יha.ReiH2022of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478, you willputתִּתֵּ֔נוּti.Te.nuH5414forth your branchesעַנְפְּכֶ֣ם'an.pe.KhemH6057and bearתִּשְׂא֖וּtis.'UH5375your fruitוּפֶרְיְכֶ֥םu.fer.ye.KhemH6529for My peopleלְעַמִּ֣יle.'a.MiH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478;for they will soonקֵרְב֖וּke.re.VuH7126comeלָבֽוֹא׃la.Vo'H935.
10I will multiplyוְהִרְבֵּיתִ֤יve.hir.bei.TiH7235menאָדָ֔ם'a.DamH120on you,allכָּל־kol-H3605the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,allכֻּלֹּ֑הku.LohH3605of it; and thecitiesהֶֽעָרִ֔יםhe.'a.RimH5892will be inhabitedוְנֹֽשְׁבוּ֙ve.no.she.VuH3427and the wasteוְהֶחֳרָב֖וֹתve.he.cho.ra.VotH2723placesH2723will be rebuiltתִּבָּנֶֽינָה׃ti.ba.Nei.nahH1129.
11I will multiplyוְהִרְבֵּיתִ֧יve.hir.bei.TiH7235on you manאָדָ֥ם'a.DamH120and beastוּבְהֵמָ֖הu.ve.he.MahH929;and they will increaseוְרָב֣וּve.ra.VuH7235and be fruitfulוּפָר֑וּu.fa.RuH6509;and I will cause you to be inhabitedוְהוֹשַׁבְתִּ֨יve.ho.shav.TiH3427as you wereformerlyכְּקַדְמֽוֹתֵיכֶ֗םke.kad.mo.tei.KhemH6927and willtreatH3190youbetterוְהֵטִֽבֹתִי֙ve.he.ti.vo.TiH3190thanH4480at the firstמֵרִאשֹׁ֣תֵיכֶ֔םme.ri.Sho.tei.KhemH7221.Thus you will knowוִֽידַעְתֶּ֖םvi.da'.TemH3045that I am the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.
12Yes, I will causemenאָדָ֜ם'a.DamH120--My peopleעַמִּ֤י'a.MiH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478--to walkוְהוֹלַכְתִּי֩ve.ho.lakh.TiH1980on you and possessוִֽירֵשׁ֔וּךָvi.re.Shu.khaH3423you, so that you will becomeוְהָיִ֥יתָve.ha.Yi.taH1961theirinheritanceלְנַחֲלָ֑הle.na.cha.LahH5159and neverוְלֹא־ ע֖וֹדve.lo'- odH3808H5750againתוֹסִ֥ףto.SifH3254bereaveלְשַׁכְּלָֽם׃ סle.sha.ke.LamH7921them of childrenH7921.’
14thereforeלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651you will noלֹא־lo'-H3808longerע֔וֹדodH5750devourתֹ֣אכְלִיTokh.liH398menאָדָם֙'a.DamH120and noלֹ֣אlo'H3808longerע֑וֹדodH5750bereaveתְשַׁכְּלִיte.kha.she.li-H7921your nationוְגוֹיַ֖יִךְve.go.yekhH1471of childrenH7921,’declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068.
15I will not let you hearאַשְׁמִ֨יעַ'ash.Mi.a'H8085insultsכְּלִמַּ֣תke.li.MatH3639from the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֔םha.go.YimH1471anymoreH5750,norH3808will you bearתִשְׂאִי־tis.'i-H5375disgraceוְחֶרְפַּ֥תve.cher.PatH2781from the peoplesעַמִּ֖ים'a.MimH5971anyH5750longerH5750,norH3808will you cause your nationוְגוֹיַ֙יִךְ֙ve.go.yekhH1471tostumbleתַכְשִׁ֣לִיtakh.Shi.liH3782anyH5750longerH5750,”declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068.’”
17“Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָ֗ם'a.DamH120,when the houseבֵּ֤יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478was livingיֹשְׁבִ֣יםyo.she.VimH3427in their own landאַדְמָתָ֔ם'ad.ma.TamH127, theydefiledוַיְטַמְּא֣וּvay.ta.me.'UH2930it by their waysבְּדַרְכָּ֖םbe.dar.KamH1870and their deedsוּבַעֲלִֽילוֹתָ֑םu.va.'a.li.lo.TamH5949;their wayדַרְכָּ֖םdar.KamH1870beforeלְפָנָֽי׃le.fa.NaiH6440Me was likethe uncleannessכְּטֻמְאַת֙ke.tum.'AtH2932of a woman in her impurityהַנִּדָּ֔הha.ni.DahH5079.
18Therefore Ipouredוָאֶשְׁפֹּ֤ךְva.'esh.PokhH8210out My wrathחֲמָתִי֙cha.ma.TiH2534on them for the bloodהַדָּ֖םha.DamH1818whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834they had shedשָׁפְכ֣וּsha.fe.KhuH8210on the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776,because they had defiledטִמְּאֽוּהָ׃ti.me.'U.haH2930it with their idolsוּבְגִלּוּלֵיהֶ֖םu.ve.gi.lu.lei.HemH1544.
19Also Iscatteredוָאָפִ֤יץva.'a.FitzH6327them among the nationsבַּגּוֹיִ֔םba.go.YimH1471and they were dispersedוַיִּזָּר֖וּvai.yi.za.RuH2219throughout the landsבָּאֲרָצ֑וֹתba.'a.ra.TzotH776.According to their waysכְּדַרְכָּ֥םke.dar.KamH1870and their deedsוְכַעֲלִילוֹתָ֖םve.kha.'a.li.lo.TamH5949I judgedשְׁפַטְתִּֽים׃she.fa.TimH8199them.

21But I hadconcernוָאֶחְמֹ֖לva.'ech.MolH2550for Myholyקָדְשִׁ֑יkod.shiH6944nameשֵׁ֣םshemH8034,whichאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478had profanedחִלְּל֙וּהוּ֙chi.le.Lu.huH2490among the nationsבַּגּוֹיִ֖םba.go.YimH1471whereאֲשֶׁר־ שָֽׁמָּה׃ ס'a.Sher- Sha.mahH834H8033they wentבָּ֥אוּBa.'uH935.

23I willvindicateH6942the holinessH6942of My greatהַגָּד֗וֹלha.ga.DolH1419nameשְׁמִ֣יshe.MiH8034which has been profanedהַֽמְחֻלָּל֙ham.chu.LalH2490among the nationsבַּגּוֹיִ֔םba.go.YimH1471,whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834you have profanedחִלַּלְתֶּ֖םchi.lal.TemH2490in their midstבְּתוֹכָ֑םbe.to.KhamH8432. Then thenationsהַגּוֹיִ֜םha.go.YimH1471will knowוְיָדְע֨וּve.ya.de.'UH3045that I am the LordH3068,”declaresנְאֻם֙ne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068, “when I proveH6942Myself holyH6942among you in their sightלְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃le.'ei.nei.HemH5869.
25Then I willsprinkleוְזָרַקְתִּ֧יve.za.rak.TiH2236cleanטְהוֹרִ֖יםte.ho.RimH2889waterמַ֥יִםMa.yimH4325on you, and you will be cleanוּטְהַרְתֶּ֑םu.te.har.TemH2891;I will cleanseאֲטַהֵ֥ר'a.ta.HerH2891you from allמִכֹּ֧לmi.KolH3605yourfilthinessטֻמְאוֹתֵיכֶ֛םtum.'o.tei.KhemH2932and from allוּמִכָּל־u.mi.kol-H3605youridolsגִּלּ֥וּלֵיכֶ֖םgi.Lu.lei.KhemH1544.
26Moreover, I will giveוְנָתַתִּ֤יve.na.ta.TiH5414you anewחָדָ֔שׁcha.DashH2319heartלֵ֣בlevH3820and putאֶתֵּ֣ן'e.TenH5414a newחֲדָשָׁ֖הcha.da.ShahH2319spiritוְר֥וּחַve.Ru.achH7307withinבְּקִרְבְּכֶ֑םbe.kir.be.KhemH7130you; and I will removeוַהֲסִ֨רֹתִ֜יva.ha.Si.ro.TiH5493theheartלֵ֤בlevH3820of stoneהָאֶ֙בֶן֙ha.'E.venH68from your fleshמִבְּשַׂרְכֶ֔םmi.be.sar.KhemH1320and giveוְנָתַתִּ֥יve.na.ta.TiH5414you a heartלֵ֥בlevH3820of fleshבָּשָֽׂר׃ba.SarH1320.
27I willputאֶתֵּ֣ן'e.TenH5414My Spiritרוּחִ֖יru.ChiH7307withinבְּקִרְבְּכֶ֑םbe.kir.be.KhemH7130you and causeוְעָשִׂ֗יתִיve.'a.Si.tiH6213you to walkתֵּלֵ֔כוּte.Le.khuH1980in My statutesבְּחֻקַּי֙be.chu.KaiH2706,and you will be carefulתִּשְׁמְר֖וּtish.me.RuH8104to observeוַעֲשִׂיתֶֽם׃va.'a.si.TemH6213My ordinancesוּמִשְׁפָּטַ֥יu.mish.pa.TaiH4941.
29Moreover, I will saveוְהוֹשַׁעְתִּ֣יve.ho.sha'.TiH3467you from allמִכֹּ֖לmi.KolH3605your uncleannessטֻמְאֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑םtum.'o.tei.KhemH2932;and I will callוְקָרָ֤אתִיve.ka.Ra.tiH7121for the grainהַדָּגָן֙ha.da.GanH1715and multiplyוְהִרְבֵּיתִ֣יve.hir.bei.TiH7235it, and I will notbringאֶתֵּ֥ן'e.TenH5414a famineרָעָֽב׃ra.'AvH7458on you.
30I willmultiplyוְהִרְבֵּיתִי֙ve.hir.bei.TiH7235the fruitפְּרִ֣יpe.RiH6529of the treeהָעֵ֔ץha.'EtzH6086and the produceוּתְנוּבַ֖תu.te.nu.VatH8570of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֑הha.sa.DehH7704,soלְמַ֗עַןle.Ma.'anH4616that you will not receiveתִקְח֥וּtik.ChuH3947againע֛וֹדodH5750the disgraceחֶרְפַּ֥תcher.PatH2781of famineרָעָ֖בra.'AvH7458among the nationsבַּגּוֹיִֽם׃ba.go.YimH1471.
31Then you willrememberוּזְכַרְתֶּם֙u.ze.khar.TemH2142your evilהָרָעִ֔יםha.ra.'ImH7451waysדַּרְכֵיכֶ֣םdar.khei.KhemH1870and your deedsוּמַעַלְלֵיכֶ֖םu.ma.'a.lei.KhemH4611that were not goodטוֹבִ֑יםto.VimH2896,and you will loatheוּנְקֹֽטֹתֶם֙u.ne.ko.to.TemH6962yourselves in your own sightבִּפְנֵיכֶ֔םbif.nei.KhemH6440for your iniquitiesעֲוֹנֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם'a.vo.No.tei.KhemH5771and your abominationsתּוֹעֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃to.'a.Vo.tei.KhemH8441.

34The desolateהַנְּשַׁמָּ֖הha.ne.sha.MahH8074landוְהָאָ֥רֶץve.ha.'A.retzH776will be cultivatedתֵּֽעָבֵ֑דte.'a.VedH5647insteadתַּ֚חַתTa.chatH8478of beingהָיְתָ֣הha.ye.TahH1961a desolationשְׁמָמָ֔הshe.ma.MahH8077in the sightלְעֵינֵ֖יle.'ei.NeiH5869of everyoneכָּל־kol-H3605who passesעוֹבֵֽר׃o.VerH5674by.
