2“Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָ֗ם'a.DamH120,takeשָׂ֤אsa'H5375up alamentationקִינָה֙ki.NahH7015overעַל־'al-H5921Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֣הpar.'OhH6547kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714and sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559to him, ‘Youcomparedנִדְמֵ֑יתָnid.Mei.taH1819yourself to a youngכְּפִ֥ירke.FirH3715lionH3715of the nationsגּוֹיִ֖םgo.YimH1471, Yet you are like themonsterH8577in the seasבַּיַּמִּ֔יםbai.ya.MimH3220; And youburstוַתָּ֣גַחva.Ta.gachH1518forthH1518in your riversבְּנַהֲרוֹתֶ֗יךָbe.na.ha.ro.Tei.khaH5104And muddiedוַתִּדְלַח־va.tid.lach-H1804the watersמַ֙יִם֙ma.yimH4325with your feetבְּרַגְלֶ֔יךָbe.rag.Lei.khaH7272AndfouledH7511their riversנַהֲרוֹתָֽם׃na.ha.ro.TamH5104.’”

3Thusכֹּ֤הkohH3541saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GodH3068, “Now I willspreadוּפָרַשְׂתִּ֤יu.fa.ras.TiH6566My netרִשְׁתִּ֔יrish.TiH7568overעָלֶ֙יךָ֙'a.Lei.khaH5921youWith a companyבִּקְהַ֖לbik.HalH6951of manyרַבִּ֑יםra.BimH7227peoplesעַמִּ֣ים'a.MimH5971,And they shall liftוְהֶעֱל֖וּךָve.he.'e.Lu.khaH5927you up in My netבְּחֶרְמִֽי׃be.cher.MiH2764.

4I will leaveוּנְטַשְׁתִּ֣יךָu.ne.tash.Ti.khaH5203you on the landבָאָ֔רֶץva.'A.retzH776;I will castאֲטִילֶ֑ךָ'a.ti.Le.khaH2904you on theopenפְּנֵ֥יpe.NeiH6440fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֖הha.sa.DehH7704.And I will cause allכָּל־kol-H3605thebirdsע֣וֹףofH5775of the heavensהַשָּׁמַ֔יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064to dwellוְהִשְׁכַּנְתִּ֤יve.hish.kan.TiH7931on you,And I will satisfyוְהִשְׂבַּעְתִּ֥יve.his.ba'.TiH7646the beastsH2421of the wholeכָּל־kol-H3605earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776with you.

5I will layוְנָתַתִּ֥יve.na.ta.TiH5414your fleshבְּשָׂרְךָ֖be.sa.re.KhaH1320on the mountainsהֶֽהָרִ֑יםhe.ha.RimH2022And fillוּמִלֵּאתִ֥יu.mi.le.TiH4390the valleysהַגֵּאָי֖וֹתha.ge.'a.YotH1516with your refuseרָמוּתֶֽךָ׃ra.mu.Te.khaH7419.

6I will also make the landאֶ֧רֶץ'E.retzH776drinkוְהִשְׁקֵיתִ֨יve.hish.kei.TiH8248the dischargeצָפָתְךָ֛tza.fa.te.KhaH6824of yourbloodמִדָּמְךָ֖mi.da.me.KhaH1818As farאֶל־'el-H413as the mountainsהֶֽהָרִ֑יםhe.ha.RimH2022,And the ravinesוַאֲפִקִ֖יםva.'a.fi.KimH650will be fullיִמָּלְא֥וּןyi.mal.'UnH4390of you.

7And when Iextinguishבְכַבּֽוֹתְךָ֙ve.kha.bot.KhaH3518you, I willcoverוְכִסֵּיתִ֤יve.khi.sei.TiH3680the heavensשָׁמַ֔יִםsha.Ma.yimH8064and darkenוְהִקְדַּרְתִּ֖יve.hik.dar.TiH6937theirstarsכֹּֽכְבֵיהֶ֑םko.khe.vei.HemH3556;I will coverאֲכַסֶּ֔נּוּ'a.kha.Se.nuH3680thesunשֶׁ֚מֶשׁShe.meshH8121with a cloudבֶּעָנָ֣ןbe.'a.NanH6051And the moonוְיָרֵ֖חַve.ya.Re.achH3394will not giveיָאִ֥ירya.'IrH215its lightאוֹרֽוֹ׃'o.RoH216.

9“I will alsotroubleוְהִ֨כְעַסְתִּ֔יve.Hikh.'as.TiH3707the heartsלֵ֖בlevH3820of manyרַבִּ֑יםra.BimH7227peoplesעַמִּ֣ים'a.MimH5971when Ibringבַּהֲבִיאִ֤יba.ha.vi.'IH935your destructionשִׁבְרְךָ֙shiv.re.KhaH7667among the nationsבַּגּוֹיִ֔םba.go.YimH1471,into landsאֲרָצ֖וֹת'a.ra.TzotH776whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834you have not knownיְדַעְתָּֽם׃ye.da'.TamH3045.

10I will makeוַהֲשִׁמּוֹתִ֨יva.ha.shi.mo.TiH8074manyרַבִּ֗יםra.BimH7227peoplesעַמִּ֣ים'a.MimH5971appalledH8074at you, and their kingsוּמַלְכֵיהֶם֙u.mal.khei.HemH4428will be horriblyשַׂ֔עַרSa.'arH8178afraidיִשְׂעֲר֤וּyis.'a.RuH8175of you when I brandishבְּעוֹפְפִ֥יbe.'o.FiH5774My swordחַרְבִּ֖יchar.BiH2719beforeפְּנֵיהֶ֑םpe.nei.HemH5921 H6440them; andthey will trembleוְחָרְד֤וּve.cha.re.DuH2729every momentלִרְגָעִים֙lir.ga.'ImH7281,everyH376manH376for his own lifeלְנַפְשׁ֔וֹle.naf.ShoH5315,on the dayבְּי֖וֹםbe.YomH3117of your fallמַפַּלְתֶּֽךָ׃ סma.pal.Te.khaH4658.”

11Forthusכֹּ֥הkohH3541saysאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068, “The swordחֶ֥רֶבChe.revH2719of the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֖לba.VelH894will comeתְּבוֹאֶֽךָ׃te.vo.'E.khaH935upon you.

12By the swordsבְּחַרְב֤וֹתbe.char.VotH2719of the mightyH1368onesH1368I will cause your hordesהֲמוֹנֶ֔ךָha.mo.Ne.khaH1995to fallאַפִּ֣יל'a.PilH5307;allכֻּלָּ֑םku.LamH3605of them aretyrantsעָרִיצֵ֥י'a.ri.TzeiH6184of the nationsגוֹיִ֖םgo.YimH1471, And they willdevastateוְשָֽׁדְדוּ֙ve.sha.de.DuH7703the prideגְּא֣וֹןge.'onH1347of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,And allכָּל־kol-H3605its hordesהֲמוֹנָֽהּ׃ha.mo.NahH1995will be destroyedוְנִשְׁמַ֖דve.nish.MadH8045.

13I will also destroyוְהַֽאֲבַדְתִּי֙ve.ha.'a.vad.TiH6allכָּל־kol-H3605its cattleבְּהֶמְתָּ֔הּbe.hem.TahH929from besideמֵעַ֖לme.'AlH5921manyרַבִּ֑יםra.BimH7227watersמַ֣יִםMa.yimH4325; Andthe footרֶֽגֶל־re.gel-H7272of manאָדָם֙'a.DamH120will not muddyתִדְלָחֵ֤םtid.la.ChemH1804them anymoreע֔וֹדodH5750And the hoofsוּפַרְס֥וֹתu.far.SotH6541of beastsבְּהֵמָ֖הbe.he.MahH929will not muddyתִדְלָחֵֽם׃tid.la.ChemH1804them.

14Thenאָ֚ז'azH227I will make their watersמֵֽימֵיהֶ֔םmei.mei.HemH4325settleאַשְׁקִ֣יעַ'ash.Ki.a'H8257And will cause their riversוְנַהֲרוֹתָ֖םve.na.ha.ro.TamH5104to runאוֹלִ֑יךְ'o.LikhH1980like oilכַּשֶּׁ֣מֶןka.She.menH8081,”Declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068.

15“When I makeבְּתִתִּי֩be.ti.TiH5414the landאֶ֨רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֜יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714adesolationשְׁמָמָ֣הshe.ma.MahH8077,And the landאֶ֚רֶץ'E.retzH776is destituteוּנְשַׁמָּ֗הu.ne.sha.MahH8074of that whichH4393filledH4393it,When I smiteבְּהַכּוֹתִ֖יbe.ha.ko.TiH5221allכָּל־kol-H3605those who liveי֣וֹשְׁבֵיYo.o.she.veiH3427in it, Then they shallknowוְיָדְע֖וּve.ya.de.'UH3045that I am the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

16Thisהִיא֙hi'H1931is alamentationקִינָ֥הki.NahH7015and they shallchantוְק֣וֹנְנ֔וּהָve.Ko.Nu.haH6969it. The daughtersבְּנ֥וֹתbe.NotH1323of the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֖םha.go.YimH1471shallchantתְּקוֹנֵ֣נָּהte.ko.Ne.nahH6969it. 19‘Whomמִמִּ֖יmi.MiH4310do you surpassH5276in beautyH5276?Goרְדָ֥הre.DahH3381downH3381and makeH7901your bedH7901with theuncircumcisedעֲרֵלִֽים׃'a.re.LimH6189.’
