13TheLordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068spokeוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559further to me, sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, ‘I have seenרָאִ֙יתִי֙ra.'I.tiH7200thisהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088peopleהָעָ֣םha.'AmH5971,and indeedוְהִנֵּ֥הve.hi.NehH2009, it is astubbornקְשֵׁה־ עֹ֖רֶףke.sheh- 'O.refH7186 H6203peopleעַם־'am-H5971.

14LetH7503Me aloneמִמֶּ֙נִּי֙mi.Me.niH4480 H7503,that I may destroyוְאַשְׁמִידֵ֔םve.'ash.mi.DemH8045them andblotוְאֶמְחֶ֣הve.'em.ChehH4229out their nameשְׁמָ֔םshe.MamH8034from underמִתַּ֖חַתmi.Ta.chatH8478heavenהַשָּׁמָ֑יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064;and I will makeוְאֶֽעֱשֶׂה֙ve.'e.'e.SehH6213of you a nationלְגוֹי־le.goy-H1471mightierעָצ֥וּם'a.TzumH6099and greaterוָרָ֖בva.RavH7227thanמִמֶּֽנּוּ׃mi.Me.nuH4480they.’

15“So I turnedוָאֵ֗פֶןva.'E.fenH6437and cameH3381downוָֽאֵרֵד֙va.'e.RedH3381from the mountainהָהָ֔רha.HarH2022while the mountainוְהָהָ֖רve.ha.HarH2022was burningבֹּעֵ֣רbo.'ErH1197with fireבָּאֵ֑שׁba.'EshH784,and the twoוּשְׁנֵי֙u.she.NeiH8147tabletsלֻחֹ֣תlu.ChotH3871of the covenantהַבְּרִ֔יתha.be.RitH1285were in my twoשְׁתֵּ֥יshe.TeiH8147handsיָדָֽי׃ya.DaiH3027.

16And I sawוָאֵ֗רֶאva.'E.re'H7200that you had indeedוְהִנֵּ֤הve.hi.NehH2009sinnedחֲטָאתֶם֙cha.ta.TemH2398against the Lordלַיהוָ֣הla.Yah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֔ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430.You had madeעֲשִׂיתֶ֣ם'a.si.TemH6213for yourselves a moltenמַסֵּכָ֑הma.se.KhahH4541calfעֵ֖גֶל'E.gelH5695;you had turnedH5493asideסַרְתֶּ֣םsar.TemH5493quicklyמַהֵ֔רma.HerH4118from the wayהַדֶּ֕רֶךְha.De.rekhH1870whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680you.

17I tookH8610holdH8610of the twoH8147tabletsהַלֻּחֹ֔תha.lu.ChotH3871and threwוָֽאַשְׁלִכֵ֔םva.'ash.li.KhemH7993them from my handsיָדָ֑יya.DaiH3027and smashedוָאֲשַׁבְּרֵ֖םva.'a.sha.be.RemH7665them before your eyesלְעֵינֵיכֶֽם׃le.'ei.nei.KhemH5869.

18I fellH5307downH5307beforeלִפְנֵ֨יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068,as at the firstכָּרִאשֹׁנָ֗הka.ri.sho.NahH7223,fortyH705daysיוֹם֙yOmH3117and nightsלַ֔יְלָהLay.lahH3915;I neitherלֹ֣אlo'H3808ateאָכַ֔לְתִּי'a.Khal.tiH398breadלֶ֚חֶםLe.chemH3899norלֹ֣אlo'H3808drankשָׁתִ֑יתִיsha.Ti.tiH8354waterוּמַ֖יִםu.Ma.yimH4325,becauseעַ֤ל'alH5921of allכָּל־kol-H3605your sinחַטַּאתְכֶם֙cha.tat.KhemH2403whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834you had committedחֲטָאתֶ֔םcha.ta.TemH2398in doingלַעֲשׂ֥וֹתla.'a.SotH6213whatH7451was evilH7451in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֥יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068to provokeלְהַכְעִיסֽוֹ׃le.hakh.'i.SoH3707Him to angerH3707.

19ForI was afraidיָגֹ֗רְתִּיya.Go.re.tiH3025of the angerהָאַף֙ha.'AfH639and hotH2534displeasureH2534with whichאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068was wrathfulקָצַ֧ףka.TzafH7107againstעֲלֵיכֶ֖ם'a.lei.KhemH5921you in order to destroyלְהַשְׁמִ֣ידle.hash.MidH8045you,but the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068listenedוַיִּשְׁמַ֤עvai.yish.Ma'H8085to me that timeבַּפַּ֥עַםba.Pa.'amH6471alsoגַּ֖םgamH1571.

20The Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068was angryהִתְאַנַּ֧ףhit.'a.NafH599enoughמְאֹ֖דme.'OdH3966with Aaronוּֽבְאַהֲרֹ֗ןu.ve.'a.ha.RonH175to destroyלְהַשְׁמִיד֑וֹle.hash.mi.DoH8045him; so I alsoגַּם־gam-H1571prayedוָֽאֶתְפַּלֵּ֛לva.'et.pa.LelH6419for Aaronאַהֲרֹ֖ן'a.ha.RonH175at the sameהַהִֽואha.Hiv'H1931timeבָּעֵ֥תba.'EtH6256.

21I tookלָקַחְתִּי֮la.kach.TiH3947yoursinfulחַטַּאתְכֶ֞םcha.tat.KhemH2403thing,the calfהָעֵ֗גֶלha.'E.gelH5695whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834you had madeעֲשִׂיתֶ֣ם'a.si.TemH6213,and burnedוָאֶשְׂרֹ֣ףva.'es.RofH8313it with fireבָּאֵשׁ֒ba.'EshH784and crushedוָאֶכֹּ֨תva.'e.KotH3807it, grindingטָחוֹן֙ta.chOnH2912it veryH3190smallH3190untilעַ֥ד אֲשֶׁר־'ad 'a.Sher-H5704 H834it was as fineדַּ֖קdakH1854as dustלְעָפָ֑רle.'a.FarH6083;and I threwוָֽאַשְׁלִךְ֙va.'ash.liKhH7993its dustעֲפָר֔וֹa.fa.RoH6083into the brookהַנַּ֖חַלha.Na.chalH5158that cameH3381downהַיֹּרֵ֥דhai.yo.RedH3381from the mountainהָהָֽר׃ha.HarH2022.

22“Again atTaberahוּבְתַבְעֵרָה֙u.ve.tav.'e.RahH8404and atMassahוּבְמַסָּ֔הu.ve.ma.SahH4532and atKibroth-hattaavahH6914you provokedH7107the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068to wrathH7107.

23When the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068sentוּבִשְׁלֹ֨חַu.vish.Lo.achH7971you fromKadesh-barneaH6947,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, ‘Goעֲלוּ֙'a.LuH5927up and possessוּרְשׁ֣וּu.re.ShuH3423the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834I have givenנָתַ֖תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414you,’ then you rebelledוַתַּמְר֗וּva.tam.RuH4784againstH854thecommandפִּ֤יpiH6310of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹ֣הֵיכֶ֔ם'e.Lo.hei.KhemH430;you neitherוְלֹ֤אve.Lo'H3808believedהֶֽאֱמַנְתֶּם֙he.'e.man.TemH539Him norוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808listenedשְׁמַעְתֶּ֖םshe.ma'.TemH8085to His voiceבְּקֹלֽוֹ׃be.ko.LoH6963.

24You have beenהֱיִיתֶ֖םhe.yi.TemH1961rebelliousמַמְרִ֥יםmam.RimH4784againstעִם־'im-H5973the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068from the dayמִיּ֖וֹםmi.YomH3117I knewדַּעְתִּ֥יda'.TiH3045you.

25“So I fellH5307downH5307beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068the fortyH705daysהַיּ֛וֹםhai.YomH3117and nightsהַלַּ֖יְלָהha.Lay.lahH3915,whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834IdidH5307becauseכִּֽי־ki-H3588the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had saidאָמַ֥ר'a.MarH559He would destroyלְהַשְׁמִ֥ידle.hash.MidH8045you.

26I prayedוָאֶתְפַּלֵּ֣לva.'et.pa.LelH6419to the LordH3068and saidוָאֹמַר֒va.'o.MarH559, ‘O Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068,do not destroyתַּשְׁחֵ֤תtash.ChetH7843Your peopleעַמְּךָ֙'a.me.KhaH5971,even Your inheritanceוְנַחֲלָ֣תְךָ֔ve.na.cha.La.te.khaH5159,whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834You have redeemedפָּדִ֖יתָpa.Di.taH6299through Your greatnessבְּגָדְלֶ֑ךָbe.ga.de.Le.khaH1433,whomאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834You have broughtהוֹצֵ֥אתָho.Tze.taH3318out of Egyptמִמִּצְרַ֖יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714with a mightyחֲזָקָֽה׃cha.za.KahH2389handבְּיָ֥דbe.YadH3027.

27Rememberזְכֹר֙ze.KhorH2142Your servantsלַעֲבָדֶ֔יךָla.'a.va.Dei.khaH5650,Abrahamלְאַבְרָהָ֥םle.'av.ra.HamH85,Isaacלְיִצְחָ֖קle.yitz.ChakH3327,and Jacobוּֽלְיַעֲקֹ֑בu.le.ya.'a.KoH3290;do not lookתֵּ֗פֶןTe.fenH6437at the stubbornnessקְשִׁי֙ke.ShiH7190of thisהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088peopleהָעָ֣םha.'AmH5971or at their wickednessרִשְׁע֖וֹrish.'OH7562or their sinחַטָּאתֽוֹ׃cha.ta.ToH2403.

28Otherwiseפֶּן־pen-H6435the landהָאָרֶץ֮ha.'a.RetzH776from whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834You broughtהוֹצֵאתָ֣נוּho.tze.Ta.nuH3318us may sayיֹאמְר֗וּyo.me.RuH559, “Becauseמִבְּלִי֙mi.be.LiH4480 H1097the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068was not ableיְכֹ֣לֶתye.Kho.letH3201to bringלַהֲבִיאָ֕םla.ha.vi.'AmH935them into the landהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834He hadpromisedדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696them and becauseH4480He hatedוּמִשִּׂנְאָת֣וֹu.mi.sin.'a.ToH8135them He has broughtהוֹצִיאָ֖םho.tzi.'AmH3318them out to slayלַהֲמִתָ֥םla.ha.mi.TamH4191them in the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃ba.mid.BarH4057.”
