13The LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068also saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to meאֵלַ֣י לֵאמֹ֑ר'e.Lai le.MorH413H559, “I have seenרָאִ֙יתִי֙ra.'I.tiH7200אֶת־'et-H853thisהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088peopleהָעָ֣םha.'AmH5971,and theyהֽוּא׃Hu'H1931are indeedוְהִנֵּ֥הve.hi.NehH2009a stiff-neckedקְשֵׁה־ עֹ֖רֶףke.sheh- 'O.refH7186H6203peopleעַם־'am-H5971.
14Leave Me aloneהֶ֤רֶףHe.refH7503,so that I may destroy themוְאַשְׁמִידֵ֔םve.'ash.mi.DemH8045and blot outוְאֶמְחֶ֣הve.'em.ChehH4229אֶת־'et-H853their nameשְׁמָ֔םshe.MamH8034fromמִמֶּ֙נִּי֙mi.Me.niH4480underמִתַּ֖חַתmi.Ta.chatH8478heavenהַשָּׁמָ֑יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064.Then I will makeוְאֶֽעֱשֶׂה֙ve.'e.'e.SehH6213אֽוֹתְךָ֔'ot.KhaH853you into a nationלְגוֹי־le.goy-H1471mightierעָצ֥וּם'a.TzumH6099and greaterוָרָ֖בva.RavH7227than theyמִמֶּֽנּוּ׃mi.Me.nuH4480are.”
15So I went backוָאֵ֗פֶןva.'E.fenH6437downוָֽאֵרֵד֙ מִן־va.'e.Red min-H3381H4480the mountainהָהָ֔רha.HarH2022while itוְהָהָ֖רve.ha.HarH2022was blazingבֹּעֵ֣רbo.'ErH1197with fireבָּאֵ֑שׁba.'EshH784,with the twoוּשְׁנֵי֙u.she.NeiH8147tabletsלֻחֹ֣תlu.ChotH3871of the covenantהַבְּרִ֔יתha.be.RitH1285inעַ֖ל שְׁתֵּ֥י'al she.TeiH5921H8147my handsיָדָֽי׃ya.DaiH3027.
16And I sawוָאֵ֗רֶאva.'E.re'H7200howוְהִנֵּ֤הve.hi.NehH2009you had sinnedחֲטָאתֶם֙cha.ta.TemH2398against the LORDלַיהוָ֣הla.Yah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֔ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430;you had madeעֲשִׂיתֶ֣ם'a.si.TemH6213for yourselvesa moltenמַסֵּכָ֑הma.se.KhahH4541calfעֵ֖גֶל'E.gelH5695.You had turned asideסַרְתֶּ֣םsar.TemH5493quicklyמַהֵ֔רma.HerH4118fromמִן־min-H4480the wayהַדֶּ֕רֶךְha.De.rekhH1870thatאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068אֶתְכֶֽם׃'et.KhemH853had commanded youצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680.
17So I tookוָאֶתְפֹּשׂ֙va.'et.PosH8610the twoבִּשְׁנֵ֣יbish.NeiH8147tabletsהַלֻּחֹ֔תha.lu.ChotH3871and threw themוָֽאַשְׁלִכֵ֔םva.'ash.li.KhemH7993out ofמֵעַ֖ל שְׁתֵּ֣יme.'Al she.TeiH5921H8147my handsיָדָ֑יya.DaiH3027,shattering themוָאֲשַׁבְּרֵ֖םva.'a.sha.be.RemH7665before your eyesלְעֵינֵיכֶֽם׃le.'ei.nei.KhemH5869.
18Then I fell downוָֽאֶתְנַפַּל֩va.'et.na.PalH5307beforeלִפְנֵ֨יlif.NeiH6440the LORDיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068for fortyאַרְבָּעִ֥ים'ar.ba.'ImH705daysיוֹם֙yOmH3117and fortyוְאַרְבָּעִ֣יםve.'ar.ba.'ImH705nightsלַ֔יְלָהLay.lahH3915,as I had done the first timeכָּרִאשֹׁנָ֗הka.ri.sho.NahH7223.I did notלֹ֣אlo'H3808eatאָכַ֔לְתִּי'a.Khal.tiH398breadלֶ֚חֶםLe.chemH3899or drinkשָׁתִ֑יתִיsha.Ti.tiH8354waterוּמַ֖יִם לֹ֣אu.Ma.yim lo'H4325H3808because ofעַ֤ל'alH5921allכָּל־kol-H3605the sinחַטַּאתְכֶם֙cha.tat.KhemH2403אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834you had committedחֲטָאתֶ֔םcha.ta.TemH2398in doingלַעֲשׂ֥וֹתla.'a.SotH6213what was evilהָרַ֛עha.Ra'H7451in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֥יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068and provoking Him to angerלְהַכְעִיסֽוֹ׃le.hakh.'i.SoH3707.
19Forכִּ֣יkiH3588I was afraidיָגֹ֗רְתִּי מִפְּנֵ֤יya.Go.re.ti mi.pe.NeiH3025H6440of the angerהָאַף֙ha.'AfH639and wrathוְהַ֣חֵמָ֔הve.Ha.che.MahH2534thatאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834the LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068had directedקָצַ֧ףka.TzafH7107against youעֲלֵיכֶ֖ם'a.lei.KhemH5921,enough to destroy youלְהַשְׁמִ֣ידle.hash.MidH8045אֶתְכֶ֑ם'et.KhemH853.But the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068listenedוַיִּשְׁמַ֤עvai.yish.Ma'H8085to meאֵלַ֔י'e.LaiH413thisהַהִֽוא׃ha.Hiv'H1931timeבַּפַּ֥עַםba.Pa.'amH6471as wellגַּ֖םgamH1571.
20The LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068was angryהִתְאַנַּ֧ףhit.'a.NafH599enoughמְאֹ֖דme.'OdH3966with Aaronוּֽבְאַהֲרֹ֗ןu.ve.'a.ha.RonH175to destroy himלְהַשְׁמִיד֑וֹle.hash.mi.DoH8045,but at thatהַהִֽואha.Hiv'H1931timeבָּעֵ֥תba.'EtH6256I alsoגַּם־gam-H1571prayedוָֽאֶתְפַּלֵּ֛לva.'et.pa.LelH6419forבְּעַ֥דbe.'AdH1157Aaronאַהֲרֹ֖ן'a.ha.RonH175.
21Andוְֽאֶת־ve.'EtH853I tookלָקַחְתִּי֮la.kach.TiH3947thatאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834sinful thingחַטַּאתְכֶ֞םcha.tat.KhemH2403,the calfהָעֵ֗גֶלha.'E.gelH5695you had madeעֲשִׂיתֶ֣ם'a.si.TemH6213אֶת־'et-H853,and burnedוָאֶשְׂרֹ֣ףva.'es.RofH8313itאֹת֣וֹ׀'o.ToH853in the fireבָּאֵשׁ֒ba.'EshH784.Then I crushed itוָאֶכֹּ֨תva.'e.KotH3807אֹת֤וֹ'o.ToH853andgroundטָחוֹן֙ta.chOnH2912הֵיטֵ֔בhei.TevH3190it toעַ֥ד'adH5704אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834powderדַּ֖קdakH1854as fine as dustלְעָפָ֑רle.'a.FarH6083,and I castוָֽאַשְׁלִךְ֙va.'ash.liKhH7993אֶת־'et-H853itעֲפָר֔וֹa.fa.RoH6083intoאֶל־'el-H413the streamהַנַּ֖חַלha.Na.chalH5158that came downהַיֹּרֵ֥דhai.yo.RedH3381fromמִן־min-H4480the mountainהָהָֽר׃ha.HarH2022.
23And when the LORDיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068אֶתְכֶ֗ם'et.KhemH853sent you outוּבִשְׁלֹ֨חַ מִקָּדֵ֤שׁu.vish.Lo.ach mi.ka.DeshH7971H6947from Kadesh-barneaבַּרְנֵ֙עַ֙bar.Ne.a'H6947,He saidלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “Go upעֲלוּ֙'a.LuH5927and possessוּרְשׁ֣וּu.re.ShuH3423אֶת־'et-H853the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776thatאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834I have givenנָתַ֖תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414you.”But you rebelledוַתַּמְר֗וּva.tam.RuH4784אֶת־'et-H853against the commandפִּ֤יpiH6310of the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹ֣הֵיכֶ֔ם'e.Lo.hei.KhemH430.You neitherוְלֹ֤אve.Lo'H3808believedהֶֽאֱמַנְתֶּם֙he.'e.man.TemH539Himnorוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808obeyedשְׁמַעְתֶּ֖םshe.ma'.TemH8085Himבְּקֹלֽוֹ׃be.ko.LoH6963.
25So I fell downוָֽאֶתְנַפַּ֞לva.'et.na.PalH5307beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068אֵ֣ת'etH853for fortyאַרְבָּעִ֥ים'ar.ba.'ImH705daysהַיּ֛וֹםhai.YomH3117andוְאֶת־ve.'EtH853fortyאַרְבָּעִ֥ים'ar.ba.'ImH705nightsהַלַּ֖יְלָהha.Lay.lahH3915אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834הִתְנַפָּ֑לְתִּיhit.na.Pal.tiH5307,becauseכִּֽי־ki-H3588the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068had saidאָמַ֥ר'a.MarH559He would destroyלְהַשְׁמִ֥ידle.hash.MidH8045youאֶתְכֶֽם׃'et.KhemH853.
26And I prayedוָאֶתְפַּלֵּ֣לva.'et.pa.LelH6419toאֶל־'el-H413the LORDיְהוָה֮Yah.wehH3068and saidוָאֹמַר֒va.'o.MarH559, “O Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GODיְהוִ֗הYah.wehH3069,do notאַל־'al-H408destroyתַּשְׁחֵ֤תtash.ChetH7843Your peopleעַמְּךָ֙'a.me.KhaH5971,Your inheritanceוְנַחֲלָ֣תְךָ֔ve.na.cha.La.te.khaH5159,whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834You redeemedפָּדִ֖יתָpa.Di.taH6299through Your greatnessבְּגָדְלֶ֑ךָbe.ga.de.Le.khaH1433אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834and brought outהוֹצֵ֥אתָho.Tze.taH3318of Egyptמִמִּצְרַ֖יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714with a mightyחֲזָקָֽה׃cha.za.KahH2389handבְּיָ֥דbe.YadH3027.
27Rememberזְכֹר֙ze.KhorH2142Your servantsלַעֲבָדֶ֔יךָla.'a.va.Dei.khaH5650Abrahamלְאַבְרָהָ֥םle.'av.ra.HamH85,Isaacלְיִצְחָ֖קle.yitz.ChakH3327,and Jacobוּֽלְיַעֲקֹ֑בu.le.ya.'a.KoH3290.Overlookאַל־ תֵּ֗פֶן אֶל־'al- Te.fen 'el-H408H6437H413the stubbornnessקְשִׁי֙ke.ShiH7190of thisהַזֶּ֔ה וְאֶל־ha.Zeh ve.'el-H2088H413peopleהָעָ֣םha.'AmH5971and the wickednessרִשְׁע֖וֹ וְאֶל־rish.'O ve.'el-H7562H413of their sinחַטָּאתֽוֹ׃cha.ta.ToH2403.
28Otherwiseפֶּן־pen-H6435,those in the landהָאָרֶץ֮ha.'a.RetzH776from whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834You brought us outהוֹצֵאתָ֣נוּ מִשָּׁם֒ho.tze.Ta.nu mi.ShamH3318H8033will sayיֹאמְר֗וּyo.me.RuH559, ‘Because the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068was notמִבְּלִי֙mi.be.LiH1097ableיְכֹ֣לֶתye.Kho.letH3201to bring themלַהֲבִיאָ֕םla.ha.vi.'AmH935intoאֶל־'el-H413the landהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834He had promisedדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696them,and because He hatedוּמִשִּׂנְאָת֣וֹu.mi.sin.'a.ToH8135themאוֹתָ֔ם'o.TamH853,He has brought them outהוֹצִיאָ֖םho.tzi.'AmH3318to kill themלַהֲמִתָ֥םla.ha.mi.TamH4191in the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃ba.mid.BarH4057.’
29But theyוְהֵ֥םve.HemH1992are Your peopleעַמְּךָ֖'a.me.KhaH5971,Your inheritanceוְנַחֲלָתֶ֑ךָve.na.cha.la.Te.khaH5159,whomאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834You brought outהוֹצֵ֙אתָ֙ho.Tze.taH3318by Your greatהַגָּדֹ֔לha.ga.DolH1419powerבְּכֹחֲךָ֣be.kho.cha.KhaH3581and outstretchedהַנְּטוּיָֽה׃ פha.ne.tu.YahH5186armוּבִֽזְרֹעֲךָ֖u.viz.ro.'a.KhaH2220.”
