Corinthians 11:5-16

But everyπᾶσαpasaG3956womanγυνὴgunēG1135who has her headκεφαλῇkephalēaG2776uncoveredἀκατακαλύπτῳakatakaluptōG177while prayingπροσευχομένηproseuchomenēG4336orἢēG2228prophesyingπροφητεύουσαprophēteuousaG4395disgracesκαταισχύνειkataischuneiG2617her headκεφαλὴνkephalēnG2776,for she is oneἓνhenG1520and the sameG846as the womanG1135whose head isshavedἐξυρημένῃ.exurēmenēG3587.
For ifεἰeiG1487a womanγυνή,gunēG1135does not coverκατακαλύπτεταιkatakaluptetaiG2619her head, let her alsoκαὶkaiG2532have her hairG2751cutG2751offG2751;but ifεἰeiG1487it is disgracefulαἰσχρὸνaischronG150for a womanγυναικὶgunaikiG1135tohave her hairG2751cutG2751offG2751orἢēG2228her head shavedξυρᾶσθαι,xurasthaiG3587,let her coverκατακαλυπτέσθω.¶katakaluptesthōG2619her head.
For a manἈνὴρAnērG435oughtὀφείλειopheileiG3784not to have his headκεφαλὴνkephalēnG2776coveredκατακαλύπτεσθαιkatakaluptesthaiG2619, since he is theimageεἰκὼνeikōnG1504and gloryδόξαdoxaG1391of GodθεοῦtheouG2316;but the womanγυνὴgunēG1135is the gloryδόξαdoxaG1391of manἀνδρόςandrosG435.
FormanἀνὴρanērG435does not originateἐστινestinG1510from womanγυναικὸςgunaikosG1135,but womanγυνὴgunēG1135from manἀνδρός·androsG435;

Thereforeδιὰ τοῦτοdia toutoG1223G3778the womanγυνὴgunēG1135oughtὀφείλειopheileiG3784to haveἔχεινecheinG2192a symbol ofauthorityἐξουσίανexousianG1849on her headκεφαλῆςkephalēsG2776,becauseδιὰdiaG1223of the angelsἀγγέλους.angelousG32.

For as the womanγυνὴgunēG1135originates from the manἀνδρὸςandrosG435,soοὕτωςhoutōsG3779alsoκαὶkaiG2532the manἀνὴρanērG435has his birththroughδιὰdiaG1223the womanγυναικός,gunaikosG1135; andallG3956thingsπάνταpantaG3956originatefrom Godθεοῦ.theouG2316.

Does not evenοὐδὲoudeG3761natureφύσιςphusisG5449itselfG846teachδιδάσκειdidaskeiG1321you that ifἐὰνeanG1437a manἀνὴρanērG435hasG2863longκομᾷ,komaG2863hairG2863,it is a dishonorἀτιμίαatimiaG819to him,
