1At the same timeבָּעֵ֤תba.'EtH6256,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,will I be the Godלֵֽאלֹהִ֔יםle.lo.HimH430of all the familiesמִשְׁפְּח֣וֹתmish.pe.ChotH4940of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and they shall be my peopleלְעָֽם׃ סle.'AmH5971.

2Thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,The peopleעַ֖ם'amH5971which wereleftשְׂרִ֣ידֵיse.Ri.deiH8300of the swordחָ֑רֶבCha.revH2719foundמָצָ֥אma.Tza'H4672graceחֵן֙chenH2580in the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּ֔רba.mid.BarH4057; evenIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478,when I wentהָל֥וֹךְha.LokhH1980to cause him to restלְהַרְגִּיע֖וֹle.har.gi.'OH7280.

3The Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068hath appearedנִרְאָ֣הnir.'AhH7200of oldמֵרָח֕וֹקme.ra.ChokH7350unto me, saying,Yea, I have lovedאֲהַבְתִּ֔יךְ'a.hav.TikhH157thee with an everlastingעוֹלָם֙o.LamH5769loveוְאַהֲבַ֤תve.'a.ha.VatH160:therefore with lovingkindnessחָֽסֶד׃Cha.sedH2617have I drawnמְשַׁכְתִּ֥יךְme.shakh.TikhH4900thee.

4Again I will buildאֶבְנֵךְ֙'ev.neKhH1129thee, and thou shalt be builtוְֽנִבְנֵ֔יתve.niv.NeitH1129,O virginבְּתוּלַ֖תbe.tu.LatH1330of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478:thou shalt again be adornedתַּעְדִּ֣יta'.DiH5710with thy tabretsתֻפַּ֔יִךְtu.Pa.yikhH8596,and shalt go forthוְיָצָ֖אתve.ya.TzatH3318in the dancesבִּמְח֥וֹלbim.CholH4234of them that make merryמְשַׂחֲקִֽים׃me.sa.cha.KimH7832.

5Thou shalt yet plantתִּטְּעִ֣יti.te.'IH5193vinesכְרָמִ֔יםkhe.ra.MimH3754upon the mountainsבְּהָרֵ֖יbe.ha.ReiH2022of Samariaשֹֽׁמְר֑וֹןsho.me.RonH8111:the plantersנָטְע֥וּna.te.'UH5193shall plantנֹטְעִ֖יםno.te.'ImH5193, and shall eat themas common thingsוְחִלֵּֽלוּ׃ve.chi.Le.luH2490.

6For there shall beיֶשׁ־yesh-H3426a dayי֔וֹםYomH3117, thatthe watchmenנֹצְרִ֖יםno.tze.RimH5341upon the mountבְּהַ֣רbe.HarH2022Ephraimאֶפְרָ֑יִם'ef.Ra.yimH669shall cryקָרְא֥וּka.re.'UH7121,Ariseק֚וּמוּKu.muH6965ye, and let us go upוְנַעֲלֶ֣הve.na.'a.LehH5927to Zionצִיּ֔וֹןtzi.YonH6726unto the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068our Godאֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ פ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430.

7For thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068;Singרָנּ֤וּra.NuH7442with gladnessשִׂמְחָ֔הsim.ChahH8057for Jacobלְיַֽעֲקֹב֙le.ya.'a.KoH3290,and shoutוְצַהֲל֖וּve.tza.ha.LuH6670among the chiefבְּרֹ֣אשׁbe.RoshH7218of the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֑םha.go.YimH1471:publishהַשְׁמִ֤יעוּhash.Mi.'uH8085ye, praiseהַֽלְלוּ֙ha.LuH1984ye, and sayוְאִמְר֔וּve.'im.RuH559,O Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,saveהוֹשַׁ֤עho.Sha'H3467thy peopleעַמְּךָ֔'a.me.KhaH5971,the remnantשְׁאֵרִ֥יתshe.'e.RitH7611of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

8Behold, I will bringמֵבִ֨יאme.Vi'H935them from the northצָפ֗וֹןtza.FonH6828countryמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776,and gatherוְקִבַּצְתִּים֮ve.ki.batz.TimH6908them from the coastsמִיַּרְכְּתֵי־mi.yar.ke.tei-H3411of the earthאָרֶץ֒'a.RetzH776, andwith them the blindעִוֵּ֣ר'i.VerH5787and the lameוּפִסֵּ֔חַu.fi.Se.achH6455,the woman with childהָרָ֥הha.RahH2030and her that travaileth with childוְיֹלֶ֖דֶתve.yo.Le.detH3205togetherיַחְדָּ֑וyach.DavH3162:a greatגָּד֖וֹלga.DolH1419companyקָהָ֥לka.HalH6951shall returnיָשׁ֥וּבוּya.Shu.vuH7725thither.

9They shall comeיָבֹ֗אוּya.Vo.'uH935with weepingבִּבְכִ֣יbiv.KhiH1065,and with supplicationsוּֽבְתַחֲנוּנִים֮u.ve.ta.cha.nu.NimH8469will I leadאֽוֹבִילֵם֒'oi.LemH2986them: I will cause them to walkH3212by the riversנַ֣חֲלֵיNa.cha.leiH5158of watersמַ֔יִםMa.yimH4325in a straightיָשָׁ֔רya.SharH3477wayבְּדֶ֣רֶךְbe.De.rekhH1870,wherein they shall not stumbleיִכָּשְׁל֖וּyi.ka.she.LuH3782:for I am a fatherלְאָ֔בle.'AvH1to Israelלְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙le.Yis.ra.'ElH3478,and Ephraimוְאֶפְרַ֖יִםve.'ef.Ra.yimH669ismy firstbornבְּכֹ֥רִיbe.Kho.riH1060.

10Hearשִׁמְע֤וּshim.'UH8085the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,O ye nationsגּוֹיִ֔םgo.YimH1471,and declareוְהַגִּ֥ידוּve.ha.Gi.duH5046itin the islesבָאִיִּ֖יםva.'i.YimH339afar offמִמֶּרְחָ֑קmi.mer.ChakH4801,and sayוְאִמְר֗וּve.'im.RuH559,He that scatteredמְזָרֵ֤הme.za.RehH2219Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478will gatherיְקַבְּצֶ֔נּוּye.ka.be.Tze.nuH6908him, and keepוּשְׁמָר֖וֹu.she.ma.RoH8104him, as a shepherdכְּרֹעֶ֥הke.ro.'EhH7462dothhis flockעֶדְרֽוֹ׃ed.RoH5739.

11For the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068hath redeemedפָדָ֥הfa.DahH6299Jacobיַעֲקֹ֑בya.'a.KoH3290,and ransomedוּגְאָל֕וֹu.ge.'a.LoH1350him from the handמִיַּ֖דmi.YadH3027of him that wasstrongerחָזָ֥קcha.ZakH2389than he.

12Therefore they shall comeוּבָאוּ֮u.va.'UH935and singוְרִנְּנ֣וּve.ri.ne.NuH7442in the heightבִמְרוֹם־vim.rom-H4791of Zionצִיּוֹן֒tzi.yOnH6726,and shall flow togetherוְנָהֲר֞וּve.na.ha.RuH5102to the goodnessט֣וּבtuvH2898of the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,for wheatדָּגָן֙da.GanH1715,and for wineתִּירֹ֣שׁti.RoshH8492,and for oilיִצְהָ֔רyitz.HarH3323,and for the youngבְּנֵי־be.nei-H1121of the flockצֹ֖אןtzonH6629and of the herdוּבָקָ֑רu.va.KarH1241:and their soulנַפְשָׁם֙naf.ShamH5315shall be as a wateredרָוֶ֔הra.VehH7302gardenכְּגַ֣ןke.GanH1588;and they shall not sorrowלְדַאֲבָ֖הle.da.'a.VahH1669any moreיוֹסִ֥יפוּyo.Si.fuH3254at all.

13Then shall the virginבְּתוּלָה֙be.tu.LahH1330rejoiceתִּשְׂמַ֤חtis.MachH8055in the danceבְּמָח֔וֹלbe.ma.CholH4234,both young menוּבַחֻרִ֥יםu.va.chu.RimH970and oldוּזְקֵנִ֖יםu.ze.ke.NimH2205togetherיַחְדָּ֑וyach.DavH3162:for I will turnוְהָפַכְתִּ֨יve.ha.fakh.TiH2015their mourningאֶבְלָ֤ם'ev.LamH60into joyלְשָׂשׂוֹן֙le.sa.sOnH8342,and will comfortוְנִ֣חַמְתִּ֔יםve.Ni.cham.TimH5162them, and make them rejoiceוְשִׂמַּחְתִּ֖יםve.si.mach.TimH8055from their sorrowמִיגוֹנָֽם׃mi.go.NamH3015.

14And I will satiateוְרִוֵּיתִ֛יve.ri.vei.TiH7301the soulנֶ֥פֶשׁNe.feshH5315of the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֖יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548with fatnessדָּ֑שֶׁןDa.shenH1880,and my peopleוְעַמִּ֛יve.'a.MiH5971shall be satisfiedיִשְׂבָּ֖עוּyis.Ba.'uH7646with my goodnessטוּבִ֥יtu.ViH2898,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.

15Thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068;A voiceק֣וֹלKolH6963was heardנִשְׁמָע֙nish.Ma'H8085in Ramahבְּרָמָ֤הbe.ra.MahH7414,lamentationנְהִי֙ne.HiH5092, andbitterתַמְרוּרִ֔יםtam.ru.RimH8563weepingבְּכִ֣יbe.KhiH1065;Rahelרָחֵ֖לra.ChelH7354weepingמְבַכָּ֣הme.va.KahH1058for her childrenבָּנֶ֑יהָba.Nei.haH1121refusedמֵאֲנָ֛הme.'a.NahH3985to be comfortedלְהִנָּחֵ֥םle.hi.na.ChemH5162for her childrenבָּנֶ֖יהָba.Nei.haH1121, because they were not.

16Thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068;Refrainמִנְעִ֤יmin.'IH4513thy voiceקוֹלֵךְ֙ko.leKhH6963from weepingמִבֶּ֔כִיmi.Be.khiH1065,and thine eyesוְעֵינַ֖יִךְve.'ei.Na.yikhH5869from tearsמִדִּמְעָ֑הmi.dim.'AhH1832:for thy workלִפְעֻלָּתֵךְ֙lif.'u.la.teKhH6468shall beיֵ֨שׁyeshH3426rewardedשָׂכָ֤רsa.KharH7939,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068;and they shall come againוְשָׁ֖בוּve.Sha.vuH7725from the landמֵאֶ֥רֶץme.'E.retzH776of the enemyאוֹיֵֽב׃'o.YevH341.

17And there isוְיֵשׁ־ve.yesh-H3426hopeתִּקְוָ֥הtik.VahH8615in thine endלְאַחֲרִיתֵ֖ךְle.'a.cha.ri.TekhH319,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,that thy childrenבָנִ֖יםva.NimH1121shall come againוְשָׁ֥בוּve.Sha.vuH7725to their own borderלִגְבוּלָֽם׃ סlig.vu.LamH1366.

18I have surelyשָׁמ֣וֹעַsha.Mo.a'H8085heardשָׁמַ֗עְתִּיsha.Ma'.tiH8085Ephraimאֶפְרַ֙יִם֙'ef.Ra.yimH669bemoaningמִתְנוֹדֵ֔דmit.no.DedH5110himself thus;Thou hast chastisedיִסַּרְתַּ֙נִי֙yi.sar.Ta.niH3256me, and I was chastisedוָֽאִוָּסֵ֔רva.'i.va.SerH3256,as a bullockכְּעֵ֖גֶלke.'E.gelH5695unaccustomedלֹ֣א לֻמָּ֑דlo' lu.MadH3925 H3808to the yoke:turnהֲשִׁיבֵ֣נִיha.shi.Ve.niH7725thou me, and I shall be turnedוְאָשׁ֔וּבָהve.'a.Shu.vahH7725; for thou artthe Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068my Godאֱלֹהָֽי׃'e.lo.HaiH430.

19Surely afterאַחֲרֵ֤י'a.cha.ReiH310that I was turnedשׁוּבִי֙shu.ViH7725,I repentedנִחַ֔מְתִּיni.Cham.tiH5162;and afterוְאַֽחֲרֵי֙ve.'a.cha.ReiH310that I was instructedהִוָּ֣דְעִ֔יhi.Va.de.'IH3045,I smoteסָפַ֖קְתִּיsa.Fak.tiH5606upon mythighיָרֵ֑ךְya.RekhH3409:I was ashamedבֹּ֚שְׁתִּיBo.she.tiH954,yea, even confoundedנִכְלַ֔מְתִּיnikh.Lam.tiH3637,because I did bearנָשָׂ֖אתִיna.Sa.tiH5375the reproachחֶרְפַּ֥תcher.PatH2781of my youthנְעוּרָֽי׃ne.'u.RaiH5271.

21Set thee upהַצִּ֧יבִיha.Tzi.viH5324waymarksצִיֻּנִ֗יםtzi.yu.NimH6725,makeשִׂ֤מִיSi.miH7760thee high heapsתַּמְרוּרִ֔יםtam.ru.RimH8564:setשִׁ֣תִיShi.tiH7896thine heartלִבֵּ֔ךְli.BekhH3820toward the highwayלַֽמְסִלָּ֖הlam.si.LahH4546, eventhe wayדֶּ֣רֶךְDe.rekhH1870whichthou wentestהָלָ֑כְתְּha.la.khe.tiH1980:turn againשׁ֚וּבִיShu.viH7725,O virginבְּתוּלַ֣תbe.tu.LatH1330of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,turn againשֻׁ֖בִיShu.viH7725to these thy citiesעָרַ֥יִךְ'a.Ra.yikhH5892.

22How long wilt thou go aboutתִּתְחַמָּקִ֔יןtit.cha.ma.KinH2559,O thou backslidingהַשּֽׁוֹבֵבָ֑הha.shoe.VahH7728daughterהַבַּ֖תha.BatH1323?for the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068hath createdבָרָ֨אva.Ra'H1254a new thingחֲדָשָׁה֙cha.da.ShahH2319in the earthבָּאָ֔רֶץba.'A.retzH776,A womanנְקֵבָ֖הne.ke.VahH5347shall compassתְּס֥וֹבֵֽבte.SoevH5437a manגָּֽבֶר׃ סGa.verH1397.

23Thus saithאָמַ֞ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068of hostsצְבָאוֹת֙tze.va.'OtH6635,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478;As yet they shall useיֹאמְר֞וּyo.me.RuH559this speechהַדָּבָ֣רha.da.VarH1697in the landבְּאֶ֤רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Judahיְהוּדָה֙ye.hu.DahH3063and in the citiesוּבְעָרָ֔יוu.ve.'a.RavH5892thereof, when I shall bring againבְּשׁוּבִ֖יbe.shu.ViH7725their captivityשְׁבוּתָ֑םshe.vu.TamH7622;The Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068blessיְבָרֶכְךָ֧ye.va.rekh.KhaH1288thee, O habitationנְוֵה־ne.veh-H5116of justiceצֶ֖דֶקTze.dekH6664, andmountainהַ֥רharH2022of holinessהַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃ha.Ko.deshH6944.

24And there shall dwellוְיָ֥שְׁבוּve.Ya.she.vuH3427in Judahיְהוּדָ֥הye.hu.DahH3063itself, and in all the citiesעָרָ֖יו'a.RavH5892thereof togetherיַחְדָּ֑וyach.DavH3162,husbandmenאִכָּרִ֕ים'i.ka.RimH406, and they thatgo forthוְנָסְע֖וּve.na.se.'UH5265with flocksבַּעֵֽדֶר׃ba.'E.derH5739.

25For I have satiatedהִרְוֵ֖יתִיhir.Vei.tiH7301the wearyעֲיֵפָ֑ה'a.ye.FahH5889soulנֶ֣פֶשׁNe.feshH5315,and I have replenishedמִלֵּֽאתִי׃mi.Le.tiH4390every sorrowfulדָּאֲבָ֖הda.'a.VahH1669soulנֶ֥פֶשׁNe.feshH5315.

26Upon this I awakedהֱקִיצֹ֣תִיhe.ki.Tzo.tiH6974,and beheldוָאֶרְאֶ֑הva.'er.'EhH7200;and my sleepוּשְׁנָתִ֖יu.she.na.TiH8142was sweetעָ֥רְבָה'A.re.vahH6149unto me.

27Behold, the daysיָמִ֥יםya.MimH3117comeבָּאִ֖יםba.'ImH935,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,that I will sowוְזָרַעְתִּ֗יve.za.ra'.TiH2232the houseבֵּ֤יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478and the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063with the seedזֶ֥רַעZe.ra'H2233of manאָדָ֖ם'a.DamH120,and with the seedוְזֶ֥רַעve.Ze.ra'H2233of beastבְּהֵמָֽה׃be.he.MahH929.

28And it shall come to pass, thatlike as I have watched overשָׁקַ֣דְתִּיsha.Kad.tiH8245them, to pluck upלִנְת֧וֹשׁlin.To.oshH5428,and to break downוְלִנְת֛וֹץve.lin.TotzH5422,and to throw downוְלַהֲרֹ֖סve.la.ha.RosH2040,and to destroyוּלְהַאֲבִ֣ידu.le.ha.'a.VidH6,and to afflictוּלְהָרֵ֑עַu.le.ha.Re.a'H7489;so will I watch overאֶשְׁקֹ֧ד'esh.KodH8245them, to buildלִבְנ֥וֹתliv.NotH1129,and to plantוְלִנְט֖וֹעַve.lin.To.a'H5193,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

29In those daysבַּיָּמִ֣יםbai.ya.MimH3117they shall sayיֹאמְר֣וּyo.me.RuH559no more, The fathersאָב֖וֹת'a.VotH1have eatenאָ֣כְלוּ'A.khe.luH398a sour grapeבֹ֑סֶרVo.serH1155,and the children’sבָנִ֖יםva.NimH1121teethוְשִׁנֵּ֥יve.shi.NeiH8127are set on edgeתִּקְהֶֽינָה׃tik.Hei.nahH6949.

30But every oneאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376shall dieיָמ֑וּתya.MutH4191for his own iniquityבַּעֲוֹנ֖וֹba.'a.vo.NoH5771:every manהָֽאָדָ֛םha.'a.DamH120that eatethהָאֹכֵ֥לha.'o.KhelH398the sour grapeהַבֹּ֖סֶרha.Bo.serH1155,his teethשִׁנָּֽיו׃ סshi.NavH8127shall be set on edgeתִּקְהֶ֥ינָהtik.Hei.nahH6949.

31Behold, the daysיָמִ֥יםya.MimH3117comeבָּאִ֖יםba.'ImH935,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,that I will makeוְכָרַתִּ֗יve.kha.ra.TiH3772a newחֲדָשָֽׁה׃cha.da.ShahH2319covenantבְּרִ֥יתbe.RitH1285with the houseבֵּ֧יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and with the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063:

32Not according to the covenantכַבְּרִ֗יתkha.be.RitH1285that I madeכָּרַ֙תִּי֙ka.Ra.tiH3772with their fathersאֲבוֹתָ֔ם'a.vo.TamH1in the dayבְּיוֹם֙be.yOmH3117thatI tookהֶחֱזִיקִ֣יhe.che.zi.KiH2388them by the handבְיָדָ֔םve.ya.DamH3027to bring them outלְהוֹצִיאָ֖םle.ho.tzi.'AmH3318of the landמֵאֶ֖רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714;which my covenantבְּרִיתִ֗יbe.ri.TiH1285they brakeהֵפֵ֣רוּhe.Fe.ruH6565,although I was an husbandבָּעַ֥לְתִּיba.'Al.tiH1166unto them, saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068:

33But this shall bethe covenantהַבְּרִ֡יתha.be.RitH1285that I will makeאֶכְרֹת֩'ekh.RotH3772with the houseבֵּ֨יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֜לYis.ra.'ElH3478;Afterאַחֲרֵ֨י'a.cha.ReiH310those daysהַיָּמִ֤יםhai.ya.MimH3117,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,I will putנָתַ֤תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414my lawתּֽוֹרָתִי֙to.ra.TiH8451in their inward partsבְּקִרְבָּ֔םbe.kir.BamH7130,and writeאֶכְתֲּבֶ֑נָּה'ekh.ta.Ve.nahH3789it in their heartsלִבָּ֖םli.BamH3820;and will be their Godלֵֽאלֹהִ֔יםle.lo.HimH430,and they shall be my peopleלְעָֽם׃le.'AmH5971.
