1Now in the firstאַחַ֗ת'a.ChatH259yearוּבִשְׁנַ֣תu.vish.NatH8141of Cyrusלְכ֙וֹרֶשׁ֙le.Kho.reshH3566kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Persiaפָּרַ֔סpa.RasH6539,that the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068by the mouthמִפִּ֣יmi.PiH6310of Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֑הyir.me.YahH3414might be fulfilledלִכְל֥וֹתlikh.LotH3615,the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068stirred upהֵעִ֣ירhe.'IrH5782the spiritר֙וּחַ֙Ru.achH7307of Cyrusכֹּ֣רֶשׁKo.reshH3566kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Persiaפָּרַ֔סpa.RasH6539,that he made a proclamationוַיַּֽעֲבֶר־ קוֹל֙vai.ya.'a.ver- kOlH6963 H5674throughout all his kingdomמַלְכוּת֔וֹmal.khu.ToH4438, and put italso in writingבְּמִכְתָּ֖בbe.mikh.TavH4385,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

2Thus saithאָמַ֗ר'a.MarH559Cyrusכֹּ֚רֶשׁKo.reshH3566kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Persiaפָּרַ֔סpa.RasH6539,The Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of heavenהַשָּׁמָ֑יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064hath givenנָ֣תַןNa.tanH5414me all the kingdomsמַמְלְכ֣וֹתmam.le.KhotH4467of the earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776;and he hath chargedפָקַ֤דfa.KadH6485me to buildלִבְנֽוֹת־Liv.not-H1129him an houseבַ֔יִתVa.yitH1004at Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִַ֖םbi.ru.sha.LimH3389, which isin Judahבִּֽיהוּדָֽה׃Bi.hu.DahH3063.

3Who is thereamong you of all his peopleעַמּ֗וֹa.MoH5971?his Godאֱלֹהָיו֙'e.lo.HavH430be with him, and let him go upוְיַ֕עַלve.Ya.'alH5927to Jerusalemלִירוּשָׁלִַ֖םli.ru.sha.LimH3389, which isin Judahבִּיהוּדָ֑הbi.hu.DahH3063,and buildוְיִ֗בֶןve.Yi.venH1129the houseבֵּ֤יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478, (he isthe Godהָאֱלֹהִ֖יםha.'E.lo.HimH430,) which isin Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃bi.ru.sha.LimH3389.

4And whosoever remainethהַנִּשְׁאָ֗רha.nish.'ArH7604in any placeהַמְּקֹמוֹת֮ha.me.ko.mOtH4725where he sojournethגָֽר־gar-H1481,let the menאַנְשֵׁ֣י'an.SheiH582of his placeמְקֹמ֔וֹme.ko.MoH4725helpיְנַשְּׂא֙וּהוּ֙ye.na.se.'U.huH5375him with silverבְּכֶ֥סֶףbe.Khe.sefH3701,and with goldוּבְזָהָ֖בu.ve.za.HavH2091,and with goodsוּבִרְכ֣וּשׁu.vir.KhushH7399,and with beastsוּבִבְהֵמָ֑הu.viv.he.MahH929,beside the freewill offeringהַ֨נְּדָבָ֔הha.ne.da.VahH5071for the houseלְבֵ֥יתle.VeitH1004of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֖יםha.'E.lo.HimH430that isin Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃bi.ru.sha.LimH3389.

5Then rose upוַיָּק֜וּמוּvai.ya.Ku.muH6965the chiefרָאשֵׁ֣יra.SheiH7218of the fathersהָאָב֗וֹתha.'a.VotH1of Judahלִֽיהוּדָה֙li.hu.DahH3063and Benjaminוּבִנְיָמִ֔ןu.vin.ya.MinH1144,and the priestsוְהַכֹּהֲנִ֖יםve.ha.ko.ha.NimH3548,and the Levitesוְהַלְוִיִּ֑םve.hal.vi.YimH3881, with all themwhose spiritרוּח֔וֹru.ChoH7307Godהָאֱלֹהִים֙ha.'E.lo.HimH430had raisedהֵעִ֤ירhe.'IrH5782,to go upלַעֲל֣וֹתla.'a.LotH5927to buildלִבְנ֔וֹתliv.NotH1129the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068which isin Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃bi.ru.sha.LimH3389.

6And all they that wereaboutסְבִיבֹֽתֵיהֶם֙se.vi.vo.tei.HemH5439them strengthenedחִזְּק֣וּchi.ze.KuH2388their handsבִֽידֵיהֶ֔םvi.dei.HemH3027with vesselsבִּכְלֵי־bikh.lei-H3627of silverכֶ֧סֶףKhe.sefH3701,with goldבַּזָּהָ֛בba.za.HavH2091,with goodsבָּרְכ֥וּשׁba.re.KhushH7399,and with beastsוּבַבְּהֵמָ֖הu.va.be.he.MahH929,and with precious thingsוּבַמִּגְדָּנ֑וֹתu.va.mig.da.NotH4030, beside all thatwas willingly offeredהִתְנַדֵּֽב׃ סhit.na.DevH5068.

7Also Cyrusכּ֔וֹרֶשׁKo.reshH3566the kingוְהַמֶּ֣לֶךְve.ha.Me.lekhH4428brought forthהוֹצִ֖יאho.Tzi'H3318the vesselsכְּלֵ֣יke.LeiH3627of the houseבֵית־veit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,which Nebuchadnezzarנְבֽוּכַדְנֶצַּר֙ne.vu.khad.ne.TzarH5019had brought forthהוֹצִ֤יאho.Tzi'H3318out of Jerusalemמִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םmi.Ru.sha.LimH3389,and had putוַֽיִּתְּנֵ֖םvai.yi.te.NemH5414them in the houseבְּבֵ֥יתbe.VeitH1004of his godsאֱלֹהָֽיו׃'e.lo.HavH430;

8Even those did Cyrusכּ֚וֹרֶשׁKo.reshH3566kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Persiaפָּרַ֔סpa.RasH6539bring forthוַיּֽוֹצִיאֵ֗םvai.yo.tzi.'EmH3318by the handיַ֖דyadH3027of Mithredathמִתְרְדָ֣תmit.re.DatH4990the treasurerהַגִּזְבָּ֑רha.giz.BarH1489,and numberedוַֽיִּסְפְּרֵם֙vai.yis.pe.RemH5608them unto Sheshbazzarלְשֵׁשְׁבַּצַּ֔רle.she.she.ba.TzarH8339,the princeהַנָּשִׂ֖יאha.na.Si'H5387of Judahלִיהוּדָֽה׃li.hu.DahH3063.
