8Behold, ye trustבֹּטְחִ֣יםbo.te.ChimH982in lyingהַשָּׁ֑קֶרha.Sha.kerH8267wordsדִּבְרֵ֖יdiv.ReiH1697,that cannot profitהוֹעִֽיל׃ho.'IlH3276.

9Will ye stealהֲגָנֹ֤ב׀ha.ga.NoH1589,murderרָצֹ֙חַ֙ra.Tzo.achH7523,and commit adulteryוְֽנָאֹ֔ףve.na.'OfH5003,and swearוְהִשָּׁבֵ֥עַve.hi.sha.Ve.a'H7650falselyלַשֶּׁ֖קֶרla.She.kerH8267,and burn incenseוְקַטֵּ֣רve.ka.TerH6999unto Baalלַבָּ֑עַלla.Ba.'alH1168,and walkוְהָלֹ֗ךְve.ha.LokhH1980afterאַחֲרֵ֛י'a.cha.ReiH310otherאֲחֵרִ֖ים'a.che.RimH312godsאֱלֹהִ֥ים'E.lo.HimH430whom ye knowיְדַעְתֶּֽם׃ye.da'.TemH3045not;

10And comeוּבָאתֶ֞םu.va.TemH935and standוַעֲמַדְתֶּ֣םva.'a.mad.TemH5975beforeלְפָנַ֗יle.fa.NaiH6440me in this houseבַּבַּ֤יִתba.Ba.yitH1004,which is calledנִקְרָא־nik.ra'-H7121by my nameשְׁמִ֣יshe.MiH8034,and sayוַאֲמַרְתֶּ֖םva.'a.mar.TemH559,We are deliveredנִצַּ֑לְנוּni.Tzal.nuH5337to doעֲשׂ֔וֹתa.SotH6213all these abominationsהַתּוֹעֵב֖וֹתha.to.'e.VotH8441?

11Is this houseהַבַּ֧יִתha.Ba.yitH1004,which is calledנִקְרָֽא־nik.ra'-H7121by my nameשְׁמִ֥יshe.MiH8034,become a denהַמְעָרַ֣תham.'a.RatH4631of robbersפָּרִצִ֗יםpa.ri.TzimH6530in your eyesבְּעֵינֵיכֶ֑םbe.'ei.nei.KhemH5869?Behold, even I have seenרָאִ֖יתִיra.'I.tiH7200it,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.

12But goH3212ye now unto my placeמְקוֹמִי֙me.ko.MiH4725which wasin Shilohבְּשִׁיל֔וֹbe.shi.LoH7887,where I setשִׁכַּ֧נְתִּֽיshi.Kan.tiH7931my nameשְׁמִ֛יshe.MiH8034at the firstבָּרִֽאשׁוֹנָ֑הba.ri.sho.NahH7223,and seeוּרְאוּ֙u.re.'UH7200what I didעָשִׂ֣יתִי'a.Si.tiH6213to it forמִפְּנֵ֕יmi.pe.NeiH6440the wickednessרָעַ֖תra.'AtH7451of my peopleעַמִּ֥י'a.MiH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

13And now, because ye have doneעֲשׂוֹתְכֶ֛ם'a.sot.KhemH6213all these worksהַמַּֽעֲשִׂ֥יםha.ma.'a.SimH4639,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,and I spakeוָאֲדַבֵּ֨רva.'a.da.BerH1696unto you, rising up earlyהַשְׁכֵּ֤םhash.KemH7925and speakingוְדַבֵּר֙ve.da.BerH1696,but ye heardשְׁמַעְתֶּ֔םshe.ma'.TemH8085not; and I calledוָאֶקְרָ֥אva.'ek.Ra'H7121you, but ye answeredעֲנִיתֶֽם׃'a.ni.TemH6030not;

14Therefore will I doוְעָשִׂ֜יתִיve.'a.Si.tiH6213unto thishouseלַבַּ֣יִת׀la.Ba.yitH1004,which is calledנִֽקְרָא־nik.ra'-H7121by my nameשְׁמִ֣יshe.MiH8034,wherein ye trustבֹּטְחִ֣יםbo.te.ChimH982,and unto the placeוְלַ֨מָּק֔וֹםve.La.ma.KomH4725which I gaveנָתַ֥תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414to you and to your fathersוְלַאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑םve.la.'a.vo.tei.KhemH1,as I have doneעָשִׂ֖יתִי'a.Si.tiH6213to Shilohלְשִׁלֽוֹ׃le.shi.LoH7887.

15And I will cast you outוְהִשְׁלַכְתִּ֥יve.hish.lakh.TiH7993of my sightפָּנָ֑יpa.NaiH6440,as I have cast outהִשְׁלַ֙כְתִּי֙hish.Lakh.tiH7993all your brethrenאֲחֵיכֶ֔ם'a.chei.KhemH251, eventhe whole seedזֶ֥רַעZe.ra'H2233of Ephraimאֶפְרָֽיִם׃ ס'ef.Ra.yimH669.

16Therefore prayתִּתְפַּלֵּ֣ל׀tit.pa.LelH6419not thou for this peopleהָעָ֣םha.'AmH5971,neither lift upתִּשָּׂ֧אti.Sa'H5375cryרִנָּ֥הri.NahH7440nor prayerוּתְפִלָּ֖הu.te.fi.LahH8605for themH1157,neither make intercessionתִּפְגַּע־tif.ga'-H6293to me: for I will not hearשֹׁמֵ֖עַsho.Me.a'H8085thee.

17Seestרֹאֶ֔הro.'EhH7200thou not what they doעֹשִׂ֖ים'o.SimH6213in the citiesבְּעָרֵ֣יbe.'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063and in the streetsוּבְחֻצ֖וֹתu.ve.chu.TzotH2351of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ye.ru.sha.LimH3389?

18The childrenהַבָּנִ֞יםha.ba.NimH1121gatherמְלַקְּטִ֣יםme.la.ke.TimH3950woodעֵצִ֗ים'e.TzimH6086,and the fathersוְהָֽאָבוֹת֙ve.ha.'a.VotH1kindleמְבַעֲרִ֣יםme.va.'a.RimH1197the fireהָאֵ֔שׁha.'EshH784,and the womenוְהַנָּשִׁ֖יםve.ha.na.ShimH802kneadלָשׁ֣וֹתla.ShotH3888theirdoughבָּצֵ֑קba.TzekH1217,to makeלַעֲשׂ֨וֹתla.'a.SotH6213cakesכַּוָּנִ֜יםka.va.NimH3561to the queenלִמְלֶ֣כֶתlim.Le.khetH4446of heavenהַשָּׁמַ֗יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,and to pour outוְהַסֵּ֤ךְve.ha.SekhH5258drink offeringsנְסָכִים֙ne.sa.KhimH5262unto otherאֲחֵרִ֔ים'a.che.RimH312godsלֵאלֹהִ֣יםle.lo.HimH430,that they may provoke me to angerהַכְעִסֵֽנִי׃hakh.'i.Se.niH3707.

19Do they provoke me to angerמַכְעִסִ֖יםmakh.'i.SimH3707?saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068: do they not provokethemselves to the confusionבֹּ֥שֶׁתBo.shetH1322of their own facesפְּנֵיהֶֽם׃ סpe.nei.HemH6440?

20Therefore thus saithאָמַ֣ר׀'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהֹוִ֗הYah.wehH3069;Behold, mine angerאַפִּ֤י'a.PiH639and my furyוַֽחֲמָתִי֙va.cha.ma.TiH2534shall be poured outנִתֶּ֙כֶת֙ni.Te.khetH5413upon this placeהַמָּק֣וֹםha.ma.KomH4725,upon manהָֽאָדָם֙ha.'a.DamH120,and upon beastהַבְּהֵמָ֔הha.be.he.MahH929,and upon the treesעֵ֥ץ'etzH6086of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֖הha.sa.DehH7704,and upon the fruitפְּרִ֣יpe.RiH6529of the groundהָֽאֲדָמָ֑הha.'a.da.MahH127;and it shall burnוּבָעֲרָ֖הu.va.'a.RahH1197,and shall not be quenchedתִכְבֶּֽה׃ סtikh.BehH3518.

22For I spakeדִבַּ֤רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696not unto your fathersאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙'a.vo.tei.KhemH1,nor commandedצִוִּיתִ֔יםtzi.vi.TimH6680them in the dayבְּי֛וֹםbe.YomH3117that I brought them outהוֹצִיאִ֥יho.tzi'H3318of the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,concerningדִּבְרֵ֥יdiv.ReiH1697burnt offeringsעוֹלָ֖הo.LahH5930or sacrificesוָזָֽבַח׃va.Za.vachH2077:

24But they hearkenedשָֽׁמְעוּ֙sha.me.'UH8085not, nor inclinedהִטּ֣וּhi.TuH5186their earאָזְנָ֔ם'a.ze.NamH241,but walkedH3212in the counselsבְּמֹ֣עֵצ֔וֹתbe.Mo.'e.TzotH4156andin the imaginationבִּשְׁרִר֖וּתbish.ri.RutH8307of their evilהָרָ֑עha.Ra'H7451heartלִבָּ֣םli.BamH3820,and went backwardלְאָח֖וֹרle.'a.ChorH268,and not forwardלְפָנִֽים׃le.fa.NimH6440.

26Yet they hearkenedשָׁמְעוּ֙sha.me.'UH8085not unto me, nor inclinedהִטּ֖וּhi.TuH5186their earאָזְנָ֑ם'a.ze.NamH241,but hardenedוַיַּקְשׁוּ֙vai.yak.ShuH7185their neckעָרְפָּ֔ם'a.re.PamH6203:they did worseהֵרֵ֖עוּhe.Re.'uH7489than their fathersמֵאֲבוֹתָֽם׃me.'a.vo.TamH1.

27Therefore thou shalt speakוְדִבַּרְתָּ֤ve.di.bar.TaH1696all these wordsהַדְּבָרִ֣יםha.de.va.RimH1697unto them; but they will not hearkenיִשְׁמְע֖וּyish.me.'UH8085to thee: thou shalt also callוְקָרָ֥אתָve.ka.Ra.taH7121unto them; but they will not answerיַעֲנֽוּכָה׃ya.'a.Nu.khahH6030thee.

28But thou shalt sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559unto them, This isa nationהַגּוֹי֙ha.goyH1471that obeyethשָׁמְע֗וּsha.me.'UH8085not the voiceבְּקוֹל֙be.kOlH6963of the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068their Godאֱלֹהָ֔יו'e.lo.HavH430,nor receivethלָקְח֖וּla.ke.ChuH3947correctionמוּסָ֑רmu.SarH4148:truthהָֽאֱמוּנָ֔הha.'e.mu.NahH530is perishedאָֽבְדָה֙'a.ve.DahH6,and is cut offוְנִכְרְתָ֖הve.nikh.re.TahH3772from their mouthמִפִּיהֶֽם׃ סmi.pi.HemH6310.

29Cut offגָּזִּ֤יga.ZiH1494thine hairנִזְרֵךְ֙niz.reKhH5145, O Jerusalem, and cast itawayוְֽהַשְׁלִ֔יכִיve.hash.Li.khiH7993,and take upוּשְׂאִ֥יu.se.'IH5375a lamentationקִינָ֑הki.NahH7015on high placesשְׁפָיִ֖םshe.fa.YimH8205;for the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068hath rejectedמָאַ֣סma.'AsH3988and forsakenוַיִּטֹּ֖שׁvai.yi.ToshH5203the generationדּ֥וֹרDorH1755of his wrathעֶבְרָתֽוֹ׃ev.ra.ToH5678.

30For the childrenבְנֵי־ve.nei-H1121of Judahיְהוּדָ֥הye.hu.DahH3063have doneעָשׂ֨וּ'a.SuH6213evilהָרַ֛עha.Ra'H7451in my sightבְּעֵינַ֖יbe.'ei.NaiH5869,saithנְאֻום־ne.'u.vm-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068:they have setשָׂ֣מוּSa.muH7760their abominationsשִׁקּֽוּצֵיהֶ֗םshi.ku.tzei.HemH8251in the houseבַּבַּ֛יִתba.Ba.yitH1004which is calledנִקְרָא־nik.ra'-H7121by my nameשְׁמִ֥יshe.MiH8034,to polluteלְטַמְּאֽוֹ׃le.ta.me.'OH2930it.

31And they have builtוּבָנ֞וּu.va.NuH1129the high placesבָּמ֣וֹתba.MotH1116of Tophetהַתֹּ֗פֶתha.To.fetH8612, which isin the valleyבְּגֵ֣יאbe.Gei'H1516of the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Hinnomהִנֹּ֔םhi.NomH2011,to burnלִשְׂרֹ֛ףlis.RofH8313their sonsבְּנֵיהֶ֥םbe.nei.HemH1121and their daughtersבְּנֹתֵיהֶ֖םbe.no.tei.HemH1323in the fireבָּאֵ֑שׁba.'EshH784;which I commandedצִוִּ֔יתִיtzi.Vi.tiH6680themnot, neither cameעָלְתָ֖ה'al.TahH5927it into my heartלִבִּֽי׃ סli.BiH3820.

32Therefore, behold, the daysיָמִ֤יםya.MimH3117comeבָּאִים֙ba.'ImH935,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,that it shall no more be calledיֵאָמֵ֨רye.'a.MerH559Tophetהַתֹּ֙פֶת֙ha.To.fetH8612,nor the valleyוְגֵ֣יאve.Gei'H1516of the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Hinnomהִנֹּ֔םhi.NomH2011,but the valleyגֵּ֣יאgei'H1516of slaughterהַהֲרֵגָ֑הha.ha.re.GahH2028:for they shall buryוְקָבְר֥וּve.ka.ve.RuH6912in Tophetבְתֹ֖פֶתve.To.fetH8612,till there be noמֵאֵ֥יןme.'EinH369placeמָקֽוֹם׃ma.KomH4725.

33And the carcasesנִבְלַ֨תniv.LatH5038of this peopleהָעָ֤םha.'AmH5971shall be meatלְמַֽאֲכָ֔לle.ma.'a.KhalH3978for the fowlsלְע֥וֹףle.'ofH5775of the heavenהַשָּׁמַ֖יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,and for the beastsוּלְבֶהֱמַ֣תu.le.ve.he.MatH929of the earthהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776; and none shall fray themawayמַחֲרִֽיד׃ma.cha.RidH2729.
