2Then spakeוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559Azariahעֲזַרְיָ֤ה'a.zar.YahH5838the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Hoshaiahהוֹשַֽׁעְיָה֙ho.sha'.YahH1955,and Johananוְיוֹחָנָ֣ןve.yo.cha.NanH3110the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Kareahקָרֵ֔חַka.Re.achH7143,and all the proudהַזֵּדִ֑יםha.ze.DimH2086menהָאֲנָשִׁ֖יםha.'a.na.ShimH582,sayingאֹמְרִ֣ים'o.me.RimH559unto Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֗הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414,Thou speakestמְדַבֵּ֔רme.da.BerH1696falselyשֶׁ֚קֶרShe.kerH8267:the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068our Godאֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙'e.lo.Hei.nuH430hath not sentשְׁלָחֲךָ֞she.la.cha.KhaH7971thee to sayלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Goתָבֹ֥אוּta.Vo.'uH935not into Egyptמִצְרַ֖יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714to sojournלָג֥וּרla.GurH1481there:

3But Baruchבָּרוּךְ֙ba.ruKhH1263the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Neriahנֵ֣רִיָּ֔הne.ri.YahH5374setteth thee onמַסִּ֥יתma.SitH5496against us, for toלְמַעַן֩le.ma.'AnH4616deliverתֵּ֨תtetH5414us into the handבְיַֽד־ve.yad-H3027of the Chaldeansהַכַּשְׂדִּים֙ha.kas.DimH3778,that they might put us to deathלְהָמִ֣יתle.ha.MitH4191,and carry us away captivesוּלְהַגְל֥וֹתu.le.hag.LotH1540into Babylonבָּבֶֽל׃ba.VelH894.

4So Johananיוֹחָנָ֨ןyo.cha.NanH3110the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Kareahקָרֵ֜חַka.Re.achH7143,and all the captainsשָׂרֵ֧יsa.ReiH8269of the forcesהַחֲיָלִ֛יםha.cha.ya.LimH2428,and all the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971,obeyedשָׁמַע֩sha.Ma'H8085not the voiceבְּק֣וֹלbe.KolH6963of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,to dwellלָשֶׁ֖בֶתla.She.vetH3427in the landבְּאֶ֥רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Judahיְהוּדָֽה׃ye.hu.DahH3063.

5But Johananיוֹחָנָ֤ןyo.cha.NanH3110the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Kareahקָרֵ֙חַ֙ka.Re.achH7143,and all the captainsשָׂרֵ֣יsa.ReiH8269of the forcesהַחֲיָלִ֔יםha.cha.ya.LimH2428,tookוַיִּקַּ֞חvai.yi.KachH3947all the remnantשְׁאֵרִ֣יתshe.'e.RitH7611of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063,that were returnedשָׁ֗בוּSha.vuH7725from all nationsהַגּוֹיִם֙ha.go.YimH1471,whither they had been drivenנִדְּחוּ־ni.de.chu-H5080,to dwellלָג֖וּרla.GurH1481in the landבְּאֶ֥רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Judahיְהוּדָֽה׃ye.hu.DahH3063;

6Evenmenהַ֠גְּבָרִיםHa.ge.va.rimH1397,and womenהַנָּשִׁ֣יםha.na.ShimH802,and childrenהַטַּף֮ha.TafH2945,and the king’sהַמֶּלֶךְ֒ha.me.leKhH4428daughtersבְּנ֣וֹתbe.NotH1323,and every personהַנֶּ֗פֶשׁha.Ne.feshH5315that Nebuzar–adanנְבוּזַרְאֲדָ֣ןne.vu.zar.'a.DanH5018the captainרַב־rav-H7227of the guardטַבָּחִ֔יםta.ba.ChimH2876had leftH3240with Gedaliahגְּדַלְיָ֖הוּge.dal.Ya.huH1436the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Ahikamאֲחִיקָ֣ם'a.chi.KamH296the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Shaphanשָׁפָ֑ןsha.FanH8227,and Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֣הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414the prophetהַנָּבִ֔יאha.na.Vi'H5030,and Baruchבָּר֖וּךְba.RukhH1263the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Neriahנֵרִיָּֽהוּ׃ne.ri.Ya.huH5374.

7So they cameוַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙vai.ya.Vo.'uH935into the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714:for they obeyedשָׁמְע֖וּsha.me.'UH8085not the voiceבְּק֣וֹלbe.KolH6963of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068:thus cameוַיָּבֹ֖אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935they evento Tahpanhesתַּחְפַּנְחֵֽס׃ סtach.pan.ChesH8471.

8Then came the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068unto Jeremiahיִרְמְיָ֔הוּyir.me.Ya.huH3414in Tahpanhesבְּתַחְפַּנְחֵ֖סbe.tach.pan.ChesH8471,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

9Takeקַ֣חkachH3947greatגְּדֹל֗וֹתge.do.LotH1419stonesאֲבָנִ֣ים'a.va.NimH68in thine handבְּיָדְךָ֞be.ya.de.KhaH3027,and hideוּטְמַנְתָּ֤םu.te.man.TamH2934them in the clayבַּמֶּ֙לֶט֙ba.Me.letH4423in the brickkilnבַּמַּלְבֵּ֔ןba.mal.BenH4404, which isat the entryבְּפֶ֥תַחbe.Fe.tachH6607of Pharaoh’sפַּרְעֹ֖הpar.'OhH6547houseבֵּית־beit-H1004in Tahpanhesבְּתַחְפַּנְחֵ֑סbe.tach.pan.ChesH8471,in the sightלְעֵינֵ֖יle.'ei.NeiH5869of the menאֲנָשִׁ֥ים'a.na.ShimH582of Judahיְהוּדִֽים׃ye.hu.DimH3064;

10And sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559unto them, Thus saithאָמַר֩'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068of hostsצְבָא֜וֹתtze.va.'otH6635,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478;Behold, I will sendשֹׁלֵ֙חַ֙sho.Le.achH7971and takeוְ֠לָקַחְתִּיVe.la.kach.tiH3947Nebuchadrezzarנְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֤רne.vu.khad.re.TzarH5019the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶל֙ba.VelH894,my servantעַבְדִּ֔י'av.DiH5650,and will setוְשַׂמְתִּ֣יve.sam.TiH7760his throneכִסְא֔וֹkhis.'OH3678uponמִמַּ֛עַלmi.Ma.'alH4605these stonesלָאֲבָנִ֥יםla.'a.va.NimH68that I have hidטָמָ֑נְתִּיta.Ma.ne.tiH2934;and he shall spreadוְנָטָ֥הve.na.TahH5186his royal pavilionשַׁפְרִיר֖וֹshaf.ru.rovH8237over them.

11And when he comethוּבָ֕אu.va.'ah'H935,he shall smiteוְהִכָּ֖הve.hi.KahH5221the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714, and deliver such as arefor deathלַמָּ֣וֶתla.Ma.vetH4194to deathלַמָּ֗וֶתla.Ma.vetH4194; and such as arefor captivityלַשְּׁבִי֙la.she.ViH7628to captivityלַשֶּׁ֔בִיla.She.viH7628; and such as arefor the swordלַחֶ֖רֶבla.Che.revH2719to the swordלֶחָֽרֶב׃le.Cha.revH2719.

12And I will kindleוְהִצַּ֣תִּיve.hi.Tza.tiH3341a fireאֵ֗שׁ'EshH784in the housesבְּבָתֵּי֙be.va.TeiH1004of the godsאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714;and he shall burnוּשְׂרָפָ֖םu.se.ra.FamH8313them, and carry them away captivesוְשָׁבָ֑םve.sha.VamH7617:and he shall arrayוְעָטָה֩ve.'a.TahH5844himself with the landאֶ֨רֶץ'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֜יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,as a shepherdהָֽרֹעֶה֙ha.ro.'EhH7462putteth onיַעְטֶ֤הya'.TehH5844his garmentבִּגְד֔וֹbig.DoH899;and he shall go forthוְיָצָ֥אve.ya.Tza'H3318from thence in peaceבְּשָׁלֽוֹם׃be.sha.LomH7965.

13He shall breakוְשִׁבַּ֗רve.shi.BarH7665also the imagesמַצְּבוֹת֙ma.tze.VotH4676of Beth–shemeshH1053, that isin the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714;and the housesבָּתֵּ֥יba.TeiH1004of the godsאֱלֹהֵֽי־'e.lo.hei-H430of the Egyptiansמִצְרַ֖יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714shall he burnיִשְׂרֹ֥ףyis.RofH8313with fireבָּאֵֽשׁ׃ סba.'EshH784.
