Jeremiah 48:24-41

24And upon Keriothקְרִיּ֖וֹתke.ri.YotH7152,and upon Bozrahבָּצְרָ֑הbotz.rahH1224,and upon all the citiesעָרֵי֙'a.ReiH5892of the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Moabמוֹאָ֔בmo.'AvH4124,farהָרְחֹק֖וֹתha.re.cho.KotH7350or nearוְהַקְּרֹבֽוֹת׃ve.ha.ke.ro.VotH7138.

25The hornקֶ֣רֶןKe.renH7161of Moabמוֹאָ֔בmo.'AvH4124is cut offנִגְדְּעָה֙nig.de.'AhH1438,and his armוּזְרֹע֖וֹu.ze.ro.'OH2220is brokenנִשְׁבָּ֑רָהnish.Ba.rahH7665,saithנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

26Make ye him drunkenהַשְׁכִּירֻ֕הוּhash.ki.Ru.huH7937:for he magnifiedהִגְדִּ֑ילhig.DilH1431himselfagainst the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068:Moabמוֹאָב֙mo.'AvH4124also shall wallowוְסָפַ֤קve.sa.FakH5606in his vomitבְּקִיא֔וֹbe.ki.'OH6892,and he also shall be in derisionלִשְׂחֹ֖קlis.ChokH7814.

27For was not Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478a derisionהַשְּׂחֹ֗קha.se.ChokH7814unto thee? was he foundנִמְצָ֑אnim.tza.'ah'H4672among thievesבְּגַנָּבִ֖יםbe.ga.na.VimH1590?for sinceמִדֵּ֧יmi.DeiH1767thou spakestדְבָרֶ֥יךָde.va.Rei.khaH1697of him, thou skippedstתִּתְנוֹדָֽד׃tit.no.DadH5110for joy.

28O ye that dwellיֹשְׁבֵ֖יyo.she.VeiH3427in Moabמוֹאָ֑בmo.'AvH4124,leaveעִזְב֤וּ'iz.VuH5800the citiesעָרִים֙'a.RimH5892,and dwellוְשִׁכְנ֣וּve.shikh.NuH7931in the rockבַּסֶּ֔לַעba.Se.la'H5553,and be like the doveכְיוֹנָ֔הkhe.yo.NahH3123thatmaketh her nestתְּקַנֵּ֖ןte.ka.NenH7077in the sidesבְּעֶבְרֵ֥יbe.'ev.ReiH5676of the hole’sפָֽחַת׃Fa.chatH6354mouthפִי־fi-H6310.

29We have heardשָׁמַ֥עְנוּsha.Ma'.nuH8085the prideגְאוֹן־ge.'on-H1347of Moabמוֹאָ֖בmo.'AvH4124, (he is exceedingמְאֹ֑דme.'OdH3966proudגֵּאֶ֣הge.'EhH1343)his loftinessגָּבְה֧וֹga.ve.HoH1363,and his arrogancyוְגַאֲוָת֖וֹve.ga.'a.va.ToH1346,and his prideוּגְאוֹנ֛וֹu.ge.'o.NoH1347,and the haughtinessוְרֻ֥םve.RumH7312of his heartלִבּֽוֹ׃li.BoH3820.

30I knowיָדַ֙עְתִּי֙ya.Da'.TiH3045his wrathעֶבְרָת֖וֹev.ra.ToH5678,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068; but it shall not beso; his liesבַּדָּ֖יוba.DavH907shall not so effectעָשֽׂוּ׃'a.SuH6213it.

31Therefore will I howlאֲיֵלִ֔יל'a.ye.LilH3213for Moabמוֹאָ֣בmo.'AvH4124,and I will cry outאֶזְעָ֑ק'ez.'AkH2199for all Moabוּלְמוֹאָ֥בu.le.mo.'AvH4124; mine heartshall mournיֶהְגֶּֽה׃yeh.GehH1897for the menאַנְשֵׁ֥י'an.SheiH582of Kir–heresH7025.

32O vineהַגֶּ֣פֶןha.Ge.fenH1612of Sibmahשִׂבְמָ֔הsiv.MahH7643,I will weepאֶבְכֶּה־'ev.keh-H1058for thee with the weepingמִבְּכִ֨יmi.be.KhiH1065of Jazerיַעְזֵ֤רya'.ZerH3270:thy plantsנְטִֽישֹׁתַ֙יִךְ֙ne.ti.sho.Ta.yikhH5189are gone overעָ֣בְרוּ'A.ve.ruH5674the seaיָ֔םYamH3220,they reachנָגָ֑עוּna.Ga.'uH5060evento the seaיָ֥םyamH3220of Jazerיַעְזֵ֖רya'.ZerH3270:the spoilerשֹׁדֵ֥דsho.DedH7703is fallenנָפָֽל׃na.FalH5307upon thy summer fruitsקֵיצֵ֥ךְkei.TzekhH7019and upon thy vintageבְּצִירֵ֖ךְbe.tzi.RekhH1210.

33And joyשִׂמְחָ֥הsim.ChahH8057and gladnessוָגִ֛ילva.GilH1524is takenוְנֶאֶסְפָ֨הve.ne.'es.FahH622from the plentiful fieldמִכַּרְמֶ֖לmi.kar.MelH3759,and from the landוּמֵאֶ֣רֶץu.me.'E.retzH776of Moabמוֹאָ֑בmo.'AvH4124;and I have caused wineוְיַ֙יִן֙ve.Ya.yinH3196to failהִשְׁבַּ֔תִּיhish.Ba.tiH7673from the winepressesמִיקָבִ֣יםmi.ka.VimH3342:none shall treadיִדְרֹ֣ךְyid.RokhH1869with shoutingהֵידָ֔דhei.DadH1959; theirshoutingהֵידָ֖דhei.DadH1959shall beno shoutingהֵידָֽד׃hei.DadH1959.

34From the cryמִזַּעֲקַ֨תmi.za.'a.KatH2201of Heshbonחֶשְׁבּ֜וֹןchesh.BonH2809evenunto Elealehאֶלְעָלֵ֗ה'el.'a.LehH500, and evenunto Jahazיַ֙הַץ֙ya.hatzH3096,have they utteredנָתְנ֣וּna.te.NuH5414their voiceקוֹלָ֔םko.LamH6963,from Zoarמִצֹּ֙עַר֙mi.Tzo.'arH6820evenunto Horonaimחֹ֣רֹנַ֔יִםcho.ro.Na.yimH2773, asan heiferעֶגְלַ֖ת'eg.LatH5697of three years oldשְׁלִֽשִׁיָּ֑הshe.li.shi.YahH7992:for the watersמֵ֣יmeiH4325also of Nimrimנִמְרִ֔יםnim.RimH5249shall be desolateלִמְשַׁמּ֖וֹתlim.sha.MotH4923.

35Moreover I will cause to ceaseוְהִשְׁבַּתִּ֥יve.hish.ba.TiH7673in Moabלְמוֹאָ֖בle.mo.'AvH4124,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,him that offerethמַעֲלֶ֣הma.'a.LehH5927in the high placesבָמָ֔הva.MahH1116,and him that burneth incenseוּמַקְטִ֖ירu.mak.TirH6999to his godsלֵאלֹהָֽיו׃le.lo.HavH430.

36Therefore mine heartלִבִּ֤יli.BiH3820shall soundיֶהֱמֶ֔הye.he.MehH1993for Moabלְמוֹאָב֙le.mo.'AvH4124like pipesכַּחֲלִלִ֣יםka.cha.li.LimH2485,and mine heartוְלִבִּי֙ve.li.BiH3820shall soundיֶהֱמֶ֑הye.he.MehH1993like pipesכַּחֲלִילִ֖יםka.cha.li.LimH2485for the menאַנְשֵׁ֣י'an.SheiH582of Kir–heresH7025:because the richesיִתְרַ֥תyit.RatH3502thathe hath gottenעָשָׂ֖ה'a.SahH6213are perishedאָבָֽדוּ׃'a.Va.duH6.

37For every headרֹאשׁ֙roShH7218shall bebaldקָרְחָ֔הka.re.ChahH7144,and every beardזָקָ֖ןza.KanH2206clippedגְּרֻעָ֑הge.ru.'AhH1639:upon all the handsיָדַ֙יִם֙ya.Da.yimH3027shall becuttingsגְּדֻדֹ֔תge.du.DotH1417,and upon the loinsמָתְנַ֖יִםma.te.Na.yimH4975sackclothשָֽׂק׃SakH8242.

38There shall belamentationמִסְפֵּ֑דmis.PedH4553generally upon all the housetopsגַּגּ֥וֹתga.GotH1406of Moabמוֹאָ֛בmo.'AvH4124,and in the streetsוּבִרְחֹבֹתֶ֖יהָu.vir.cho.Tei.haH7339thereof: for I have brokenשָׁבַ֣רְתִּיsha.Var.tiH7665Moabמוֹאָ֗בmo.'AvH4124like a vesselכִּכְלִ֛יkikh.LiH3627wherein isno pleasureחֵ֥פֶץChe.fetzH2656,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

39They shall howlהֵילִ֔ילוּhei.Li.luH3213, saying,How is it broken downחַ֙תָּה֙cha.tahH2865!how hath Moabמוֹאָ֖בmo.'AvH4124turnedהִפְנָה־hif.nah-H6437the backעֹ֥רֶף'O.refH6203with shameבּ֑וֹשׁBo.oshH954!so shall Moabמוֹאָ֛בmo.'AvH4124be a derisionלִשְׂחֹ֥קlis.ChokH7814and a dismayingוְלִמְחִתָּ֖הve.lim.chi.TahH4288to all them aboutסְבִיבָֽיו׃ סse.vi.VavH5439him.

40For thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068;Behold, he shall flyיִדְאֶ֑הyid.'EhH1675as an eagleכַנֶּ֖שֶׁרkha.Ne.sherH5404,and shall spreadוּפָרַ֥שׂu.fa.RasH6566his wingsכְּנָפָ֖יוke.na.FavH3671over Moabמוֹאָֽב׃mo.'AvH4124.

41Keriothהַקְּרִיּ֔וֹתha.ke.ri.YotH7152is takenנִלְכְּדָה֙nil.ke.DahH3920,and the strong holdsוְהַמְּצָד֖וֹתve.ha.me.tza.DotH4679are surprisedנִתְפָּ֑שָׂהnit.Pa.sahH8610,and the mighty men’sגִּבּוֹרֵ֤יgi.bo.ReiH1368heartsלֵ֞בlevH3820in Moabמוֹאָב֙mo.'AvH4124at that dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117shall be as the heartכְּלֵ֖בke.LevH3820of a womanאִשָּׁ֥ה'i.ShahH802in her pangsמְצֵרָֽה׃me.tze.RahH6887.
