2Ariseק֥וּםkumH6965,goH3212to Padan–aramפַּדֶּ֣נָֽהpa.De.nahH6307,to the houseבֵּ֥יתָהBei.tahH1004of Bethuelבְתוּאֵ֖לve.tu.'ElH1328thy mother’sאִמֶּ֑ךָ'i.Me.khaH517fatherאֲבִ֣י'a.ViH1;and takeוְקַח־ve.kach-H3947thee a wifeאִשָּׁ֔ה'i.ShahH802from thence of the daughtersמִבְּנ֥וֹתmi.be.NotH1323of Labanלָבָ֖ןla.VanH3837thy mother’sאִמֶּֽךָ׃'i.Me.khaH517brotherאֲחִ֥י'a.ChiH251.

4And giveוְיִֽתֶּן־ve.yi.ten-H5414thee the blessingבִּרְכַּ֣תbir.KatH1293of Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֔ם'av.ra.HamH85,to thee, and to thy seedוּלְזַרְעֲךָ֣u.le.zar.'a.KhaH2233with thee; that thou mayest inheritלְרִשְׁתְּךָ֙le.rish.te.KhaH3423the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776wherein thou art a strangerמְגֻרֶ֔יךָme.gu.Rei.khaH4033,which Godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430gaveנָתַ֥ןna.TanH5414unto Abrahamלְאַבְרָהָֽם׃le.'av.ra.HamH85.

5And Isaacיִצְחָק֙yitz.ChakH3327sent awayוַיִּשְׁלַ֤חvai.yish.LachH7971Jacobיַעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290:and he wentH3212to Padan–aramפַּדֶּ֣נָֽהpa.De.nahH6307unto Labanלָבָ֤ןla.VanH3837,sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Bethuelבְּתוּאֵל֙be.tu.'ElH1328the Syrianהָֽאֲרַמִּ֔יha.'a.ra.MiH761,the brotherאֲחִ֣י'a.ChiH251of Rebekahרִבְקָ֔הriv.KahH7259,Jacob’sיַעֲקֹ֖בya.'a.KoH3290and Esau’sוְעֵשָֽׂו׃ve.'e.SavH6215motherאֵ֥ם'emH517.

6When Esauעֵשָׂ֗ו'e.SavH6215sawוַיַּ֣רְאvai.Yar'H7200that Isaacיִצְחָק֮yitz.ChakH3327had blessedבֵרַ֣ךְve.RakhH1288Jacobיַעֲקֹב֒ya.'a.KoH3290,and sent him awayוְשִׁלַּ֤חve.shi.LachH7971to Padan–aramפַּדֶּ֣נָֽהpa.De.nahH6307,to takeלָקַֽחַת־la.ka.chat-H3947him a wifeאִשָּׁ֑ה'i.ShahH802from thence; and that as he blessedבְּבָרֲכ֣וֹbe.va.ra.KhoH1288him he gave him a chargeוַיְצַ֤וvay.TzavH6680,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Thou shalt not takeתִקַּ֥חti.KachH3947a wifeאִשָּׁ֖ה'i.ShahH802of the daughtersמִבְּנ֥וֹתmi.be.NotH1323of Canaanכְּנָֽעַן׃ke.Na.'anH3667;

7And that Jacobיַעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290obeyedוַיִּשְׁמַ֣עvai.yish.Ma'H8085his fatherאָבִ֖יו'a.VivH1and his motherאִמּ֑וֹ'i.MoH517,and was goneH3212to Padan–aramפַּדֶּ֥נָֽהpa.De.nahH6307;

8And Esauעֵשָׂ֔ו'e.SavH6215seeingוַיַּ֣רְאvai.Yar'H7200that the daughtersבְּנ֣וֹתbe.NotH1323of Canaanכְּנָ֑עַןke.Na.'anH3667pleasedבְּעֵינֵ֖יbe.'ei.NeiH5869notרָע֖וֹתra.'otH7451Isaacיִצְחָ֥קyitz.ChakH3327his fatherאָבִֽיו׃'a.VivH1;

9Then wentH3212Esauעֵשָׂ֖ו'e.SavH6215unto Ishmaelיִשְׁמָעֵ֑אלyish.ma.'ElH3458,and tookוַיִּקַּ֡חvai.yi.KachH3947unto the wivesנָשָׁ֖יוna.ShavH802which he had Mahalathמָחֲלַ֣ת׀ma.cha.LatH4258the daughterבַּת־bat-H1323of Ishmaelיִשְׁמָעֵ֨אלyish.ma.'ElH3458Abraham’sאַבְרָהָ֜ם'av.ra.HamH85sonבֶּן־ben-H1121,the sisterאֲח֧וֹת'a.ChotH269of Nebajothנְבָי֛וֹתne.va.YotH5032,to be his wifeלְאִשָּֽׁה׃ סle.'i.ShahH802.

10And Jacobיַעֲקֹ֖בya.'a.KoH3290went outוַיֵּצֵ֥אvai.ye.Tze'H3318from Beer–shebaH884,and wentH3212toward Haranחָרָֽנָה׃cha.Ra.nahH2771.

11And he lightedוַיִּפְגַּ֨עvai.yif.Ga'H6293upon a certain placeבַּמָּק֜וֹםba.ma.KomH4725,and tarried there all nightוַיָּ֤לֶןvai.Ya.lenH3885,because the sunהַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁha.She.meshH8121was setבָ֣אva'H935;and he tookוַיִּקַּח֙vai.yi.KachH3947of the stonesמֵאַבְנֵ֣יme.'av.NeiH68of that placeהַמָּק֔וֹםha.ma.KomH4725,and putוַיָּ֖שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760them forhis pillowsמְרַֽאֲשֹׁתָ֑יוme.ra.'a.sho.TavH4763,and lay downH7901in that placeבַּמָּק֥וֹםba.ma.KomH4725to sleepH7901.

14And thy seedזַרְעֲךָ֙zar.'a.KhaH2233shall be as the dustכַּעֲפַ֣רka.'a.FarH6083of the earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776,and thou shalt spread abroadוּפָרַצְתָּ֛u.fa.ratz.TaH6555to the westיָ֥מָּהYa.mahH3220,and to the eastוָקֵ֖דְמָהva.Ke.de.mahH6924,and to the northוְצָפֹ֣נָהve.tza.Fo.nahH6828,and to the southוָנֶ֑גְבָּהva.Neg.bahH5045:and in thee and in thy seedוּבְזַרְעֶֽךָ׃u.ve.zar.'E.khaH2233shall all the familiesמִשְׁפְּחֹ֥תmish.pe.ChotH4940of the earthהָאֲדָמָ֖הha.'a.da.MahH127be blessedוְנִבְרֲכ֥וּve.niv.ra.KhuH1288.

15And, behold, I amwith thee, and will keepוּשְׁמַרְתִּ֙יךָ֙u.she.mar.Ti.khaH8104thee in all placeswhitherH834thou goestH3212,and will bring thee againוַהֲשִׁ֣בֹתִ֔יךָva.ha.Shi.vo.Ti.khaH7725into this landהָאֲדָמָ֖הha.'a.da.MahH127;for I will not leaveאֶֽעֱזָבְךָ֔'e.'e.za.ve.KhaH5800thee, untilH834I have doneעָשִׂ֔יתִי'a.Si.tiH6213thatwhich I have spokenדִּבַּ֖רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696to thee of.

16And Jacobיַעֲקֹב֮ya.'a.KoH3290awakedוַיִּיקַ֣ץvai.yi.KatzH3364out of his sleepמִשְּׁנָתוֹ֒mi.she.na.ToH8142,and he saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Surelyאָכֵן֙'a.KhenH403the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068isיֵ֣שׁyeshH3426in this placeבַּמָּק֖וֹםba.ma.KomH4725;and I knewיָדָֽעְתִּי׃ya.Da.'e.tiH3045it not.

17And he was afraidוַיִּירָא֙vai.yi.Ra'H3372,and saidוַיֹּאמַ֔רvai.yo.MarH559,How dreadfulנּוֹרָ֖אno.Ra'H3372isthis placeהַמָּק֣וֹםha.ma.KomH4725! this isnone other but the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Godאֱלֹהִ֔ים'E.lo.HimH430, and this isthe gateשַׁ֥עַרSha.'arH8179of heavenהַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ha.sha.Ma.yimH8064.

18And Jacobיַעֲקֹ֜בya.'a.KoH3290rose up earlyוַיַּשְׁכֵּ֨םvai.yash.KemH7925in the morningבַּבֹּ֗קֶרba.Bo.kerH1242,and tookוַיִּקַּ֤חvai.yi.KachH3947the stoneהָאֶ֙בֶן֙ha.'E.venH68that he had putשָׂ֣םsamH7760forhis pillowsמְרַֽאֲשֹׁתָ֔יוme.ra.'a.sho.TavH4763,and set it upוַיָּ֥שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760fora pillarמַצֵּבָ֑הma.tze.VahH4676,and pouredוַיִּצֹ֥קvai.yi.TzokH3332oilשֶׁ֖מֶןShe.menH8081upon the top of itרֹאשָֽׁהּ׃ro.ShahH7218.

19And he calledוַיִּקְרָ֛אvai.yik.Ra'H7121the nameשֵֽׁם־shem-H8034of that placeהַמָּק֥וֹםha.ma.KomH4725Beth–elH1008:butוְאוּלָ֛םve.'u.LamH199the nameשֵׁם־shem-H8034of that cityהָעִ֖ירha.'IrH5892was calledLuzל֥וּזluzH3870at the firstלָרִאשֹׁנָֽה׃la.ri.sho.NahH7223.

22And this stoneוְהָאֶ֣בֶןve.ha.'E.venH68,which I have setשַׂ֙מְתִּי֙sam.tiH7760fora pillarמַצֵּבָ֔הma.tze.VahH4676,shall be God’sאֱלֹהִ֑ים'E.lo.HimH430houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004:and of all that thou shalt giveתִּתֶּן־ti.ten-H5414me I will surelyעַשֵּׂ֖ר'a.SerH6237give the tenthאֲעַשְּׂרֶ֥נּוּ'a.'as.se.Re.nuH6237unto thee.
