1And when Abramאַבְרָ֔ם'av.RamH87was ninetyתִּשְׁעִ֥ים שָׁנָ֖הtish.'Im sha.NahH8141 H8673yearsשָׁנִ֑יםsha.NimH8141oldבֶּן־ben-H1121and nineוְתֵ֣שַׁעve.Te.sha'H8672,the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068appearedוַיֵּרָ֨אvai.ye.Ra'H7200to Abramאַבְרָ֗ם'av.RamH87,and saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, I amthe Almightyשַׁדַּ֔יsha.DaiH7706Godאֵ֣ל'elH410;walkהִתְהַלֵּ֥ךְhit.ha.LekhH1980before meלְפָנַ֖יle.fa.NaiH6440,and be thou perfectתָמִֽים׃ta.MimH8549.

2And I will makeוְאֶתְּנָ֥הve.'e.te.NahH5414my covenantבְרִיתִ֖יve.ri.TiH1285between me and thee, and will multiplyוְאַרְבֶּ֥הve.'ar.BehH7235thee exceedinglyH3966.

3And Abramאַבְרָ֖ם'av.RamH87fellוַיִּפֹּ֥לvai.yi.PolH5307on his faceפָּנָ֑יוpa.NavH6440:and Godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430talkedוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696with him, sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

4As for meאֲנִ֕י'a.NiH589,behold, my covenantבְרִיתִ֖יve.ri.TiH1285iswith thee, and thou shalt be a fatherלְאַ֖בle.'AvH1of manyהֲמ֥וֹןha.MonH1995nationsגּוֹיִֽם׃go.YimH1471.

5Neither shall thy nameשִׁמְךָ֖shim.KhaH8034any more be calledיִקָּרֵ֥אyi.ka.Re'H7121Abramאַבְרָ֑ם'av.RamH87,but thy nameשִׁמְךָ֙shim.KhaH8034shall be Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֔ם'av.ra.HamH85;for a fatherאַב־'av-H1of manyהֲמ֥וֹןha.MonH1995nationsגּוֹיִ֖םgo.YimH1471have I made theeנְתַתִּֽיךָ׃ne.ta.Ti.khaH5414.

6And I will makeוְהִפְרֵתִ֤יve.hif.re.TiH6509thee exceedingH3966fruitfulH6509,and I will makeוּנְתַתִּ֖יךָu.ne.ta.Ti.khaH5414nationsלְגוֹיִ֑םle.go.YimH1471of thee, and kingsוּמְלָכִ֖יםu.me.la.KhimH4428shall come outיֵצֵֽאוּ׃ye.Tze.'uH3318of thee.

7And I will establishוַהֲקִמֹתִ֨יva.ha.ki.mo.TiH6965my covenantבְּרִיתִ֜יbe.ri.TiH1285between me and thee and thy seedזַרְעֲךָ֧zar.'a.KhaH2233after theeאַחֲרֶ֛יךָ'a.cha.Rei.khaH310in their generationsלְדֹרֹתָ֖םle.do.ro.TamH1755for an everlastingעוֹלָ֑םo.LamH5769covenantלִבְרִ֣יתliv.RitH1285,to be a Godלֵֽאלֹהִ֔יםle.lo.HimH430unto thee, and to thy seedוּֽלְזַרְעֲךָ֖u.le.zar.'a.KhaH2233after theeאַחֲרֶֽיךָ׃'a.cha.Rei.khaH310.

8And I will giveוְנָתַתִּ֣יve.na.ta.TiH5414unto thee, and to thy seedוּלְזַרְעֲךָ֨u.le.zar.'a.KhaH2233after theeאַחֲרֶ֜יךָ'a.cha.Rei.khaH310,the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776wherein thou art a strangerמְגֻרֶ֗יךָme.gu.Rei.khaH4033,all the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Canaanכְּנַ֔עַןke.Na.'anH3667,for an everlastingעוֹלָ֑םo.LamH5769possessionלַאֲחֻזַּ֖תla.'a.chu.ZatH272;and I will be their Godלֵאלֹהִֽים׃le.lo.HimH430.

9And Godאֱלֹהִים֙'E.lo.HimH430saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֔ם'av.ra.HamH85,Thou shalt keepתִשְׁמֹ֑רtish.MorH8104my covenantבְּרִיתִ֣יbe.ri.TiH1285therefore, thou, and thy seedוְזַרְעֲךָ֥ve.zar.'a.KhaH2233after theeאַֽחֲרֶ֖יךָ'a.cha.Rei.khaH310in their generationsלְדֹרֹתָֽם׃le.do.ro.TamH1755.

10This ismy covenantבְּרִיתִ֞יbe.ri.TiH1285,which ye shall keepתִּשְׁמְר֗וּtish.me.RuH8104,between me and you and thy seedזַרְעֲךָ֖zar.'a.KhaH2233after theeאַחֲרֶ֑יךָ'a.cha.Rei.khaH310;Every man childזָכָֽר׃za.KharH2145among you shall be circumcisedהִמּ֥וֹלhi.MolH4135.

11And ye shall circumciseH5243the fleshבְּשַׂ֣רbe.SarH1320of your foreskinעָרְלַתְכֶ֑ם'a.re.lat.KhemH6190;and it shall be a tokenלְא֣וֹתle.'otH226of the covenantבְּרִ֔יתbe.RitH1285betwixt me and you.

12And he that is eightשְׁמֹנַ֣תshe.mo.NatH8083daysיָמִ֗יםya.MimH3117oldוּבֶן־u.ven-H1121shall be circumcisedיִמּ֥וֹלyi.MolH4135among you, every man childזָכָ֖רza.KharH2145in your generationsלְדֹרֹתֵיכֶ֑םle.do.ro.tei.KhemH1755,he that is bornיְלִ֣ידye.LidH3211in the houseבָּ֔יִתBa.yitH1004,or boughtוּמִקְנַת־u.mik.nat-H4736with moneyכֶּ֙סֶף֙ke.sefH3701of any strangerבֶּן־ נֵכָ֔רben- ne.KharH5236 H1121, which isnot of thy seedמִֽזַּרְעֲךָ֖mi.zar.'a.KhaH2233.

13He that is bornיְלִ֥ידye.LidH3211in thy houseבֵּֽיתְךָ֖bei.te.KhaH1004,and he that is boughtוּמִקְנַ֣תu.mik.NatH4736with thy moneyכַּסְפֶּ֑ךָkas.Pe.khaH3701,must needsהִמּ֧וֹל׀hi.MolH4135be circumcisedיִמּ֛וֹלyi.MolH4135:and my covenantבְרִיתִ֛יve.ri.TiH1285shall be in your fleshבִּבְשַׂרְכֶ֖םbiv.sar.KhemH1320for an everlastingעוֹלָֽם׃o.LamH5769covenantלִבְרִ֥יתliv.RitH1285.

14And the uncircumcisedוְעָרֵ֣ל׀ve.'a.RelH6189man childזָכָ֗רza.KharH2145whoseאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834fleshבְּשַׂ֣רbe.SarH1320of his foreskinעָרְלָת֔וֹa.re.la.ToH6190is not circumcisedיִמּוֹל֙yi.mOlH4135,that soulהַנֶּ֥פֶשׁha.Ne.feshH5315shall be cut offוְנִכְרְתָ֛הve.nikh.re.TahH3772from his peopleמֵעַמֶּ֑יהָme.'a.Mei.haH5971;he hath brokenהֵפַֽר׃ סhe.FarH6565my covenantבְּרִיתִ֖יbe.ri.TiH1285.

15And Godאֱלֹהִים֙'E.lo.HimH430saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֔ם'av.ra.HamH85,As for Saraiשָׂרַ֣יsa.RaiH8297thy wifeאִשְׁתְּךָ֔'ish.te.KhaH802,thou shalt not callתִקְרָ֥אtik.Ra'H7121her nameשְׁמָ֖הּshe.MahH8034Saraiשָׂרָ֑יsa.RaiH8297,butכִּ֥יkiH3588Sarahשָׂרָ֖הsa.RahH8283shallher nameשְׁמָֽהּ׃she.MahH8034be.

16And I will blessוּבֵרַכְתִּ֣יu.ve.rakh.TiH1288her, and giveנָתַ֧תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414thee a sonבֵּ֑ןBenH1121also of her: yea, I will blessוּבֵֽרַכְתִּ֙יהָ֙u.ve.rakh.Ti.haH1288her, and she shall be a motherof nationsלְגוֹיִ֔םle.go.YimH1471;kingsמַלְכֵ֥יmal.KheiH4428of peopleעַמִּ֖ים'a.MimH5971shall be of her.

17Then Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֛ם'av.ra.HamH85fellוַיִּפֹּ֧לvai.yi.PolH5307upon his faceפָּנָ֖יוpa.NavH6440,and laughedוַיִּצְחָ֑קvai.yitz.ChakH6711,and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559in his heartבְּלִבּ֗וֹbe.li.BoH3820, Shall a childbe bornיִוָּלֵ֔דyi.va.LedH3205unto him that is an hundredמֵאָֽה־me.'ah-H3967yearsשָׁנָה֙sha.NahH8141oldהַלְּבֶ֤ןha.le.VenH1121?and shall Sarahשָׂרָ֔הsa.RahH8283,that is ninetyתִּשְׁעִ֥יםtish.'ImH8673yearsשָׁנָ֖הsha.NahH8141oldהֲבַת־ha.vat-H1323,bearתֵּלֵֽד׃te.LedH3205?

18And Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֖ם'av.ra.HamH85saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Godהָֽאֱלֹהִ֑יםha.'E.lo.HimH430,O thatל֥וּluH3863Ishmaelיִשְׁמָעֵ֖אלyish.ma.'ElH3458might liveיִחְיֶ֥הyich.YehH2421before theeלְפָנֶֽיךָ׃le.fa.Nei.khaH6440!

19And Godאֱלֹהִ֗ים'E.lo.HimH430saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Sarahשָׂרָ֣הsa.RahH8283thy wifeאִשְׁתְּךָ֗'ish.te.KhaH802shall bearיֹלֶ֤דֶתyo.Le.detH3205thee a sonבֵּ֔ןBenH1121indeedאֲבָל֙'a.ValH61;and thou shalt callוְקָרָ֥אתָve.ka.Ra.taH7121his nameשְׁמ֖וֹshe.MoH8034Isaacיִצְחָ֑קyitz.ChakH3327:and I will establishוַהֲקִמֹתִ֨יva.ha.ki.mo.TiH6965my covenantבְּרִיתִ֥יbe.ri.TiH1285with him for an everlastingעוֹלָ֖םo.LamH5769covenantלִבְרִ֥יתliv.RitH1285, andwith his seedלְזַרְע֥וֹle.zar.'OH2233after himאַחֲרָֽיו׃'a.cha.RavH310.

20And as for Ishmaelוּֽלְיִשְׁמָעֵ֘אלu.le.yish.ma.'eLH3458,I have heard theeשְׁמַעְתִּיךָ֒she.ma'.ti.KhaH8085:Behold, I have blessedבֵּרַ֣כְתִּיbe.Rakh.tiH1288him, and will make him fruitfulוְהִפְרֵיתִ֥יve.hif.rei.TiH6509,and will multiplyוְהִרְבֵּיתִ֥יve.hir.bei.TiH7235him exceedinglyH3966;twelveשְׁנֵים־ עָשָׂ֤רshe.neim- 'a.SarH8147 H6240princesנְשִׂיאִם֙ne.si.'ImH5387shall he begetיוֹלִ֔ידyo.LidH3205,and I will make himוּנְתַתִּ֖יוu.ne.ta.TivH5414a greatגָּדֽוֹל׃ga.DolH1419nationלְג֥וֹיle.GoyH1471.

21But my covenantבְּרִיתִ֖יbe.ri.TiH1285will I establishאָקִ֣ים'a.KimH6965with Isaacיִצְחָ֑קyitz.ChakH3327,which Sarahשָׂרָה֙sa.RahH8283shall bearתֵּלֵ֨דte.LedH3205unto thee at this set timeלַמּוֹעֵ֣דla.mo.'EdH4150in the nextהָאַחֶֽרֶת׃ha.'a.Che.retH312yearבַּשָּׁנָ֖הba.sha.NahH8141.

22And he left offוַיְכַ֖לvay.KhalH3615talkingלְדַבֵּ֣רle.da.BerH1696with him, and Godאֱלֹהִ֔ים'E.lo.HimH430went upוַיַּ֣עַלvai.Ya.'alH5927from Abrahamאַבְרָהָֽם׃'av.ra.HamH85.

23And Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֜ם'av.ra.HamH85tookוַיִּקַּ֨חvai.yi.KachH3947Ishmaelיִשְׁמָעֵ֣אלyish.ma.'ElH3458his sonבְּנ֗וֹbe.NoH1121,and all that were bornיְלִידֵ֤יye.li.DeiH3211in his houseבֵיתוֹ֙vei.ToH1004,and all that were boughtמִקְנַ֣תmik.NatH4736with his moneyכַּסְפּ֔וֹkas.PoH3701,every maleזָכָ֕רza.KharH2145among the menבְּאַנְשֵׁ֖יbe.'an.SheiH582of Abraham’sאַבְרָהָ֑ם'av.ra.HamH85houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004;and circumcisedוַיָּ֜מָלvai.Ya.molH4135the fleshבְּשַׂ֣רbe.SarH1320of their foreskinעָרְלָתָ֗ם'a.re.la.TamH6190in the selfsameבְּעֶ֙צֶם֙be.'E.tzemH6106dayהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117,as Godאֱלֹהִֽים׃'E.lo.HimH430had saidדִּבֶּ֥רdi.BerH1696unto him.
