23Concerning Damascusלְדַמֶּ֗שֶׂקle.da.Me.sekH1834: “Hamathחֲמָת֙cha.MatH2574and Arpadוְאַרְפָּ֔דve.'ar.PadH774are put to shameבּ֤וֹשָֽׁהBo.o.shahH954,forכִּי־ki-H3588they have heardשָׁמְע֖וּsha.me.'UH8085a badרָעָ֛הra.'AhH7451reportשְׁמֻעָ֥הshe.mu.'AhH8052;they are agitatedנָמֹ֑גוּna.Mo.guH4127like the seaבַּיָּ֣םbai.YamH3220;their anxietyדְּאָגָ֔הde.'a.GahH1674cannotלֹ֥א יוּכָֽל׃lo' yu.KhalH3808 H3201be calmedהַשְׁקֵ֖טhash.KetH8252.

24Damascusדַמֶּ֛שֶׂקda.Me.sekH1834has become feebleרָפְתָ֥הra.fe.TahH7503;she has turnedהִפְנְתָ֥הhif.ne.TahH6437to fleeלָנ֖וּסla.NusH5127.Panicוְרֶ֣טֶט׀ve.Re.tetH7374has gripped herהֶחֱזִ֑יקָהhe.che.Zi.kahH2388;anguishצָרָ֧הtza.RahH6869and painוַחֲבָלִ֛יםva.cha.va.LimH2256have seized herאֲחָזַ֖תָּה'a.cha.Za.tahH270like a woman in laborכַּיּוֹלֵדָֽה׃kai.yo.le.DahH3205.

25Howאֵ֥יךְ'eikhH349is the cityעִ֣יר'irH5892of praiseתְּהִלָּ֑תte.hi.lahH8416notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808forsakenעֻזְּבָ֖ה'u.ze.VahH5800,the townקִרְיַ֖תkir.YatH7151that brings Me joyמְשׂוֹשִֽׂי׃me.so.SiH4885?

26Forלָכֵ֛ןla.KhenH3651her young menבַחוּרֶ֖יהָva.chu.Rei.haH970will fallיִפְּל֥וּyi.pe.LuH5307in the streetsבִּרְחֹבֹתֶ֑יהָbir.cho.Tei.haH7339,and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605her warriorsאַנְשֵׁ֨י הַמִּלְחָמָ֤ה'an.Shei ha.mil.cha.MahH582 H4421will be silencedיִדַּ֙מּוּ֙yi.Da.muH1826in thatהַה֔וּאha.Hu'H1931dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117,”declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the LORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of Hostsצְבָאֽוֹת׃tze.va.'otH6635.

27“I will set fireוְהִצַּ֥תִּי אֵ֖שׁve.hi.Tza.ti 'eshH3341 H784to the wallsבְּחוֹמַ֣תbe.cho.MatH2346of Damascusדַּמָּ֑שֶׂקda.Ma.sekH1834;it will consumeוְאָכְלָ֖הve.'a.khe.LahH398the fortressesאַרְמְנ֥וֹת'ar.me.NotH759of Ben-hadadH1130.”

28Concerning Kedarלְקֵדָ֣ר׀le.ke.DarH6938and the kingdomsוּֽלְמַמְלְכ֣וֹתu.le.mam.le.KhotH4467of Hazorחָצ֗וֹרcha.TzorH2674,whichאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834NebuchadnezzarH5020kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֔לba.VelH894defeatedהִכָּה֙hi.KahH5221,this is whatכֹּ֖הkohH3541the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: “Rise upק֚וּמוּKu.muH6965,advanceעֲל֣וּ'a.LuH5927againstאֶל־'el-H413Kedarקֵדָ֔רke.DarH6938,and destroyוְשָׁדְד֖וּve.sha.de.DuH7703אֶת־'et-H853the peopleבְּנֵי־be.nei-H1121of the eastקֶֽדֶם׃Ke.demH6924!

29They will takeיִקָּ֔חוּyi.Ka.chuH3947their tentsאָהֳלֵיהֶ֤ם'o.ho.lei.HemH168and flocksוְצֹאנָם֙ve.tzo.NamH6629,their tent curtainsיְרִיעוֹתֵיהֶ֧םye.ri.'o.tei.HemH3407and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605their goodsכְּלֵיהֶ֛םke.lei.HemH3627.They will takeיִשְׂא֣וּyis.'UH5375their camels for themselvesוּגְמַלֵּיהֶ֖םu.ge.ma.lei.HemH1581.They will shoutוְקָרְא֧וּve.ka.re.'UH7121to themעֲלֵיהֶ֛ם'a.lei.HemH5921: ‘Terrorמָג֖וֹרma.GorH4032is on every sideמִסָּבִֽיב׃mi.sa.VivH5439!’
