8Yet they wouldוְלֹ֤אve.Lo'H3808notוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808obeyשָֽׁמְעוּ֙sha.me.'UH8085or inclineהִטּ֣וּhi.TuH5186אֶת־'et-H853their earsאָזְנָ֔ם'a.ze.NamH241,but each oneאִ֕ישׁ'ishH376followedוַיֵּ֣לְכ֔וּvai.Ye.le.KhuH1980the stubbornnessבִּשְׁרִיר֖וּתbish.ri.RutH8307of his evilהָרָ֑עha.Ra'H7451heartלִבָּ֣םli.BamH3820.So I broughtוָאָבִ֨יאva.'a.Vi'H935onעֲלֵיהֶ֜ם'a.lei.HemH5921themאֶֽת־'et-H853allכָּל־kol-H3605the cursesדִּבְרֵ֧יdiv.ReiH1697of thisהַזֹּ֛אתha.ZotH2063covenantהַבְּרִית־ha.be.rit-H1285אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834I had commanded themצִוִּ֥יתִיtzi.Vi.tiH6680to followלַעֲשׂ֖וֹתla.'a.SotH6213but they did not keepוְלֹ֥א עָשֽׂוּ׃ סve.Lo' 'a.SuH6213 H3808.”

9And the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068toldוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559meאֵלָ֑י'e.LaiH413, “There isנִֽמְצָא־nim.tza'-H4672a conspiracyקֶ֙שֶׁר֙ke.sherH7195among the menבְּאִ֣ישׁbe.'IshH376of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063and the residentsוּבְיֹשְׁבֵ֖יu.ve.yo.she.VeiH3427of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ye.ru.sha.LimH3389.

11Thereforeלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651this is whatכֹּ֚הkohH3541the LORDיְהוָ֔ה הִנְנִ֨יYah.weh hi.NiH3068 H2005saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: ‘I am about to bringמֵבִ֤יאme.Vi'H935upon themאֲלֵיהֶם֙'a.lei.HemH413a disasterרָעָ֔הra.'AhH7451thatאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834they cannotלֹֽא־ יוּכְל֖וּlo'- yu.khe.LuH3808 H3201escapeלָצֵ֣את מִמֶּ֑נָּהla.Tzet mi.Me.nahH3318 H4480.They will cry outוְזָעֲק֣וּve.za.'a.KuH2199to Meאֵלַ֔י'e.LaiH413,but I will notוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808listenאֶשְׁמַ֖ע'esh.Ma'H8085to themאֲלֵיהֶֽם׃'a.lei.HemH413.

12Then the citiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָ֗הye.hu.DahH3063and the residentsוְיֹשְׁבֵי֙ve.yo.she.VeiH3427of Jerusalemיְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םye.Ru.sha.LimH3389will goוְהָֽלְכ֞וּve.ha.le.KhuH1980and cry outוְזָֽעֲקוּ֙ve.za.'a.KuH2199toאֶל־'el-H413the godsהָ֣אֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430to whichאֲשֶׁ֛ר'a.SherH834theyהֵ֥םhemH1992have been burning incenseמְקַטְּרִ֖יםme.ka.te.RimH6999,but these gods certainly will notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808saveH3467themin their timeבְּעֵ֥תbe.'EtH6256of disasterרָעָתָֽם׃ra.'a.TamH7451.

13Your godsאֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430areהָי֥וּha.YuH1961indeedכִּ֚יkiH3588as numerousמִסְפַּ֣רmis.ParH4557as your citiesעָרֶ֔יךָ'a.Rei.khaH5892,O Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063;the altarsמִזְבְּחוֹת֙miz.be.chOtH4196of shameלַבֹּ֔שֶׁתla.Bo.shetH1322you have set upשַׂמְתֶּ֤םsam.TemH7760—the altarsמִזְבְּח֖וֹתmiz.be.ChotH4196to burn incenseלְקַטֵּ֥רle.ka.TerH6999to Baalלַבָּֽעַל׃ סla.Ba.'alH1168—are as manyוּמִסְפַּ֞רu.mis.ParH4557as the streetsחֻצ֣וֹתchu.TzotH2351of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֗םye.ru.sha.LimH3389.’

16The LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068once calledקָרָ֥אka.Ra'H7121youשְׁמֵ֑ךְshe.MekhH8034a flourishingרַֽעֲנָן֙ra.'a.NanH7488olive treeזַ֤יִתZa.yitH2132,beautifulיְפֵ֣הye.PehH3303with well-formedתֹ֔אַרTo.'arH8389fruitפְרִי־fe.ri-H6529.But with a mightyגְדֹלָ֗הge.do.LahH1419roarלְק֣וֹל׀ הֲמוּלָּ֣הle.Kol ha.mu.LahH6963 H1999He will set it on fireהִצִּ֥ית אֵשׁ֙ עָלֶ֔יהָhi.Tzit 'esh 'a.Lei.haH3341 H784 H5921,and its branchesדָּלִיּוֹתָֽיו׃da.li.yo.TavH1808will be consumedוְרָע֖וּve.ra.'UH7489.

17The LORDוַיהוָ֤הva.Yah.wehH3068of Hostsצְבָאוֹת֙tze.va.'OtH6635,who plantedהַנּוֹטֵ֣עַha.no.Te.a'H5193youאוֹתָ֔ךְ'o.TakhH853,has decreedדִּבֶּ֥רdi.BerH1696disasterרָעָ֑הra.'AhH7451against youעָלַ֖יִךְ'a.La.yikhH5921on account ofבִּ֠גְלַלBig.lalH1558the evil thatרָעַ֨תra.'AtH7451the houseבֵּֽית־beit-H1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֜לYis.ra.'ElH3478and the houseוּבֵ֣יתu.VeitH1004of Judahיְהוּדָ֗הye.hu.DahH3063אֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834have brought upon themselvesעָשׂ֥וּ'a.SuH6213,provoking Me to angerלְהַכְעִסֵ֖נִיle.hakh.'i.Se.niH3707by burning incenseלְקַטֵּ֥רle.ka.TerH6999to Baalלַבָּֽעַל׃ סla.Ba.'alH1168.”

18And the LORDוַֽיהוָ֥הva.Yah.wehH3068informed meהֽוֹדִיעַ֖נִיho.di.'A.niH3045,so I knewוָֽאֵדָ֑עָהva.'e.Da.'ahH3045.Thenאָ֖ז'azH227You showed meהִרְאִיתַ֥נִיhir.'i.Ta.niH7200their deedsמַעַלְלֵיהֶֽם׃ma.'a.lei.HemH4611.

19For Iוַאֲנִ֕יva.'a.NiH589was like a gentleאַלּ֖וּף'a.LufH441lambכְּכֶ֥בֶשׂke.Khe.vesH3532ledיוּבַ֣לyu.ValH2986to slaughterלִטְב֑וֹחַlit.Vo.achH2873;I did notוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808knowיָדַ֜עְתִּיya.Da'.tiH3045thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588they had plottedחָשְׁב֣וּ מַחֲשָׁב֗וֹתcha.she.Vu ma.cha.sha.VotH2803 H4284against meעָלַ֣י׀'a.LaiH5921: “Let us destroyנַשְׁחִ֨יתָהnash.Chi.tahH7843the treeעֵ֤ץ'etzH6086with its fruitבְּלַחְמוֹ֙be.lach.MoH3899;let us cut him offוְנִכְרְתֶ֙נּוּ֙ve.nikh.re.Te.nuH3772from the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of the livingחַיִּ֔יםchai.YimH2416,that his nameוּשְׁמ֖וֹu.she.MoH8034may be rememberedיִזָּכֵ֥רyi.za.KherH2142noלֹֽא־lo'-H3808moreעֽוֹד׃odH5750.”

21Thereforeלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651this is whatכֹּֽה־koh-H3541the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559concerningעַל־'al-H5921the peopleאַנְשֵׁ֣י'an.SheiH582of Anathothעֲנָת֔וֹתa.na.TotH6068who are seekingהַֽמְבַקְשִׁ֥יםham.vak.ShimH1245אֶֽת־'et-H853your lifeנַפְשְׁךָ֖naf.she.KhaH5315and sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, “You must notלֹ֤אlo'H3808prophesyתִנָּבֵא֙ti.na.Ve'H5012in the nameבְּשֵׁ֣םbe.ShemH8034of the LORDיְהוָ֔ה וְלֹ֥אYah.weh ve.Lo'H3068 H3808,or you will dieתָמ֖וּתta.MutH4191by our handבְּיָדֵֽנוּ׃ סbe.ya.De.nuH3027.”
