4When Joseph’s brothersאֶחָ֗יו'e.ChavH251sawוַיִּרְא֣וּvai.yir.'UH7200thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588their fatherאֲבִיהֶם֙'a.vi.HemH1lovedאָהַ֤ב'a.HavH157himאֹת֞וֹ'o.ToH853more than anyמִכָּל־mi.kolH3605of themאֶחָ֔יו'e.ChavH251,they hatedוַֽיִּשְׂנְא֖וּvai.yis.ne.'UH8130himאֹת֑וֹ'o.ToH853and couldיָכְל֖וּya.khe.LuH3201notוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808speakדַּבְּר֥וֹda.be.RoH1696a kind word to himלְשָׁלֹֽם׃le.sha.LomH7965.

5Then Josephיוֹסֵף֙yo.SefH3130had a dreamוַיַּחֲלֹ֤ם חֲל֔וֹםvai.ya.cha.Lom cha.LomH2492 H2472,and when he toldוַיַּגֵּ֖דvai.ya.GedH5046it to his brothersלְאֶחָ֑יוle.'e.ChavH251,they hatedשְׂנֹ֥אse.No'H8130himאֹתֽוֹ׃'o.ToH853even moreוַיּוֹסִ֥פוּ ע֖וֹדvai.yo.Si.fu odH3254 H5750.

6He saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to themאֲלֵיהֶ֑ם'a.lei.HemH413, “Listenשִׁמְעוּ־ נָ֕אshim.'u- na'H8085 H4994to thisהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834dream I hadהַחֲל֥וֹם חָלָֽמְתִּי׃ha.cha.Lom cha.La.me.tiH2492 H2472:

7וְ֠הִנֵּהVe.hi.nehH2009Weאֲנַ֜חְנוּ'a.Nach.nuH587were bindingמְאַלְּמִ֤יםme.'a.le.MimH481sheaves of grainאֲלֻמִּים֙'a.lu.MimH485inבְּת֣וֹךְbe.TokhH8432the fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֔הha.sa.DehH7704,and suddenlyוְהִנֵּ֛הve.hi.NehH2009my sheafאֲלֻמָּתִ֖י'a.lu.ma.TiH485roseקָ֥מָהKa.mahH6965andוְגַם־ve.gam-H1571stood uprightנִצָּ֑בָה וְהִנֵּ֤הni.Tza.vah ve.hi.NehH5324 H2009,while your sheavesאֲלֻמֹּ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם'a.lu.Mo.tei.KhemH485gathered aroundתְסֻבֶּ֙ינָה֙te.su.Bei.nahH5437and bowed downוַתִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֖יןָva.tish.ta.cha.Vei.naH7812toלַאֲלֻמָּתִֽי׃la.'a.lu.ma.TiH485mine.”

8“Do you intend to reignH4427over usעָלֵ֔ינוּ אִם־'a.Lei.nu 'im-H5921 H518?”his brothersאֶחָ֔יו'e.ChavH251askedוַיֹּ֤אמְרוּvai.Yo.me.ruH559. “Will you actually ruleH4910us?”So they hatedשְׂנֹ֣אse.No'H8130himאֹת֔וֹ'o.ToH853even moreוַיּוֹסִ֤פוּ עוֹד֙vai.yo.Si.fu 'OdH3254 H5750because ofעַל־'al-H5921his dreamחֲלֹמֹתָ֖יו וְעַל־cha.lo.mo.Tav ve.'al-H2472 H5921and his statementsדְּבָרָֽיו׃de.va.RavH1697.

9Then Joseph had anotherעוֹד֙ אַחֵ֔ר'Od 'a.CherH5750 H312dreamוַיַּחֲלֹ֥ם חֲל֣וֹםvai.ya.cha.Lom cha.LomH2492 H2472and toldוַיְסַפֵּ֥רvay.sa.PerH5608אֹת֖וֹ'o.ToH853it to his brothersלְאֶחָ֑יוle.'e.ChavH251. “Lookהִנֵּ֨הhi.NehH2009,”he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “I had anotherע֔וֹד וְהִנֵּ֧הod ve.hi.NehH5750 H2009dreamחָלַ֤מְתִּֽי חֲלוֹם֙cha.Lam.ti cha.lOmH2492 H2472,and this time the sunהַשֶּׁ֣מֶשׁha.She.meshH8121and moonוְהַיָּרֵ֗חַve.hai.ya.Re.achH3394and elevenוְאַחַ֤ד עָשָׂר֙ve.'a.Chad 'a.SarH259 H6240starsכּֽוֹכָבִ֔יםko.kha.VimH3556were bowing downמִֽשְׁתַּחֲוִ֖יםmish.ta.cha.VimH7812to me.”

10He toldוַיְסַפֵּ֣ר אֶל־vay.sa.Per 'el-H5608 H413his fatherאָבִיו֮ וְאֶל־'a.Viv ve.'el-H1 H413and brothersאֶחָיו֒'e.ChavH251,but his fatherאָבִ֔יו'a.VivH1rebukedוַיִּגְעַר־vai.yig.'ar-H1605himand saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Whatמָ֛הmahH4100is this dreamהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088thatאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834you have hadהַחֲל֥וֹם חָלָ֑מְתָּha.cha.Lom cha.La.me.taH2472 H2492?Will your motherוְאִמְּךָ֣ve.'i.me.KhaH517and brothersוְאַחֶ֔יךָve.'a.Chei.khaH251and Iאֲנִי֙'a.NiH589actuallyהֲב֣וֹאha.Vo'H935comeנָב֗וֹאna.Vo'H935and bow downלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֹ֥תle.hish.ta.cha.VotH7812to the groundאָֽרְצָה׃'A.re.tzahH776before you?”

11And his brothersאֶחָ֑יו'e.ChavH251were jealousוַיְקַנְאוּ־vay.kan.'u-H7065of him,but his fatherוְאָבִ֖יוve.'a.VivH1kept in mindשָׁמַ֥רsha.MarH8104what he had saidהַדָּבָֽר׃ha.da.VarH1697אֶת־'et-H853.
