18And Jehoram walkedוַיֵּ֜לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980in the waysבְּדֶ֣רֶךְ׀be.De.rekhH1870of the kingsמַלְכֵ֣יmal.KheiH4428of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,just asכַּאֲשֶׁ֤רka.'a.SherH834the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Ahabאַחְאָ֔ב'ach.'AvH256had doneעָשׂוּ֙'a.SuH6213.Forכִּ֚יkiH3588he marriedלְאִשָּׁ֑הle.'i.ShahH802a daughterבַּת־bat-H1323of Ahabאַחְאָ֔ב'ach.'AvH256הָֽיְתָה־ha.ye.tah-H1961and didוַיַּ֥עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213evilהָרַ֖עha.Ra'H7451in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֥יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

19Yet for the sakeלְמַ֖עַןle.Ma.'anH4616of His servantעַבְדּ֑וֹav.DoH5650Davidדָּוִ֣דda.VidH1732,the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068was unwillingוְלֹֽא־ אָבָ֤הve.lo'- 'a.VahH3808 H14to destroyלְהַשְׁחִ֣יתle.hash.ChitH7843אֶת־'et-H853Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063,sinceכַּאֲשֶׁ֣רka.'a.SherH834He had promisedאָֽמַר־'a.mar-H559to maintainלָתֵ֨תla.TetH5414a lampנִ֛ירnirH5216for David andhis descendantsלְבָנָ֖יוle.va.NavH1121foreverכָּל־ הַיָּמִֽים׃kol- hai.ya.MimH3605 H3117.

20In the daysבְּיָמָיו֙be.ya.MavH3117of Jehoram,Edomאֱד֔וֹם'e.DomH123rebelledפָּשַׁ֣עpa.Sha'H6586againstמִתַּ֖חַתmi.Ta.chatH8478the handיַד־yad-H3027of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063and appointedוַיַּמְלִ֥כוּvai.yam.Li.khuH4427their ownעֲלֵיהֶ֖ם'a.lei.HemH5921kingמֶֽלֶךְ׃Me.lekhH4428.

21So Jehoramיוֹרָם֙yo.RamH3141crossed overוַיַּעֲבֹ֤רvai.ya.'a.VorH5674to Zairצָעִ֔ירָהtza.'I.rahH6811withעִמּ֑וֹ וַֽיְהִי־i.Mo vay.hi-H5973 H1961allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605his chariotsהָרֶ֖כֶבha.Re.khevH7393.When the Edomitesאֱד֜וֹם'e.DomH123surroundedהַסֹּבֵ֤יבha.so.VeivH5437himאֵלָיו֙'e.LavH413andאֶת־'et-H853his chariotהָרֶ֔כֶבha.Re.khevH7393commandersשָׂרֵ֣יsa.ReiH8269,heה֞וּאhu'H1931rose upקָ֣םkamH6965and attackedוַיַּכֶּ֨הvai.ya.KehH5221by nightלַ֗יְלָהLay.lahH3915וְאֵת֙ve.'EtH853.His troops, howeverהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971,fledוַיָּ֥נָסvai.Ya.nosH5127to their homesלְאֹהָלָֽיו׃le.'o.ha.LavH168.

22So toעַ֖ד'adH5704thisהַזֶּ֑הha.ZehH2088dayהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117Edomאֱד֗וֹם'e.DomH123has been in rebellionוַיִּפְשַׁ֣עvai.yif.Sha'H6586againstמִתַּ֙חַת֙mi.Ta.chatH8478the hand ofיַד־yad-H3027Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063.Likewiseאָ֛ז'azH227,Libnahלִבְנָ֖הliv.NahH3841rebelledתִּפְשַׁ֥עtif.Sha'H6586at the sameהַהִֽיא׃ha.Hi'H1931timeבָּעֵ֥תba.'EtH6256.
