21So Gehaziגֵּיחֲזִ֖יgei.cha.ZiH1522pursuedוַיִּרְדֹּ֥ףvai.yir.DofH7291אַחֲרֵ֣י'a.cha.ReiH310Naamanנַֽעֲמָ֑ןna.'a.ManH5283.And when Naamanנַֽעֲמָן֙na.'a.ManH5283sawוַיִּרְאֶ֤הvai.yir.'EhH7200himrunningרָ֣ץratzH7323toward himאַחֲרָ֔יו'a.cha.RavH310,he got downוַיִּפֹּ֞לvai.yi.PolH5307fromמֵעַ֧לme.'AlH5921the chariotהַמֶּרְכָּבָ֛הha.mer.ka.VahH4818to meet himלִקְרָאת֖וֹlik.ra.ToH7122and askedוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Is everything all rightהֲשָׁלֽוֹם׃ha.sha.LomH7965?”

22“Everything is all rightשָׁל֗וֹםsha.LomH7965,”Gehazi repliedוַיֹּ֣אמֶר׀vai.Yo.merH559. “My masterאֲדֹנִי֮'a.do.NiH113has sent meשְׁלָחַ֣נִיshe.la.Cha.niH7971to sayלֵאמֹר֒le.MorH559, ‘Lookהִנֵּ֣הhi.NehH2009,twoשְׁנֵֽי־she.nei-H8147young menנְעָרִ֛יםne.'a.RimH5288from the sonsמִבְּנֵ֣יmi.be.NeiH1121of the prophetsהַנְּבִיאִ֑יםha.ne.vi.'ImH5030have just nowעַתָּ֡ה זֶ֠ה'a.Tah zehH6258 H2088comeבָּ֣אוּBa.'uH935to meאֵלַ֧י'e.LaiH413from the hill countryמֵהַ֥רme.HarH2022of Ephraimאֶפְרַ֖יִם'ef.Ra.yimH669.Pleaseנָּ֤אna'H4994giveתְּנָה־te.nah-H5414thema talentכִּכַּר־ki.kar-H3603of silverכֶּ֔סֶףKe.sefH3701and twoוּשְׁתֵּ֖יu.she.TeiH8147setsחֲלִפ֥וֹתcha.li.FotH2487of clothingבְּגָדִֽים׃be.ga.DimH899.’”

23But Naamanנַעֲמָ֔ןna.'a.ManH5283insistedוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Pleaseהוֹאֵ֖לho.'ElH2974,takeקַ֣חkachH3947two talentsכִּכָּרָ֑יִםki.ka.Ra.yimH3603.”And he urgedוַיִּפְרָץ־vai.yif.rotz-H6555Gehazi to accept them.Then he tied upוַיָּצַר֩vai.ya.TzarH6696two talentsכִּכְּרַ֨יִםki.ke.Ra.yimH3603of silverכֶּ֜סֶףKe.sefH3701in twoבִּשְׁנֵ֣יbish.NeiH8147bagsחֲרִטִ֗יםcha.ri.TimH2754along with twoוּשְׁתֵּי֙u.she.TeiH8147setsחֲלִפ֣וֹתcha.li.FotH2487of clothingבְּגָדִ֔יםbe.ga.DimH899and gave themוַיִּתֵּן֙vai.yi.TenH5414toאֶל־'el-H413twoשְׁנֵ֣יshe.NeiH8147of his servantsנְעָרָ֔יוne.'a.RavH5288,who carried themוַיִּשְׂא֖וּvai.yis.'UH5375ahead of Gehaziלְפָנָֽיו׃le.fa.NavH6440.

24When Gehazi cameוַיָּבֹא֙vai.ya.Vo'H935toאֶל־'el-H413the hillהָעֹ֔פֶלha.'O.felH6076,he tookוַיִּקַּ֥חvai.yi.KachH3947the gifts fromמִיָּדָ֖םmi.ya.DamH3027the servantsand stored themוַיִּפְקֹ֣דvai.yif.KodH6485in the houseבַּבָּ֑יִתba.Ba.yitH1004.Then he dismissedוַיְשַׁלַּ֥חvay.sha.LachH7971אֶת־'et-H853the menהָאֲנָשִׁ֖יםha.'a.na.ShimH582,and they departedוַיֵּלֵֽכוּ׃vai.ye.Le.khuH1980.

25When Gehaziוְהוּא־ve.hu'-H1931went inבָא֙va'H935and stoodוַיַּעֲמֹ֣דvai.ya.'a.ModH5975beforeאֶל־'el-H413his masterאֲדֹנָ֔יו'a.do.NavH113,Elishaאֱלִישָׁ֔ע'e.li.Sha'H477askedוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559himאֵלָיו֙'e.LavH413, “Gehaziגֵּחֲזִ֑יge.cha.ZiH1522,whereאָ֥נֶה'A.nehH575have you been?” “Your servantעַבְדְּךָ֖'av.de.KhaH5650did notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808goהָלַ֥ךְha.LakhH1980anywhereוָאָֽנָה׃va.'A.nahH575,”he repliedוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559.

26But Elisha questioned himוַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֵלָיו֙vai.Yo.mer 'e.LavH559 H413, “Did notלֹא־lo'-H3808my spiritלִבִּ֣יli.BiH3820goהָלַ֔ךְha.LakhH1980with youwhenכַּאֲשֶׁ֧רka.'a.SherH834the manאִ֛ישׁ'ishH376got downהָֽפַךְ־ha.fakh-H2015fromמֵעַ֥לme.'AlH5921his chariotמֶרְכַּבְתּ֖וֹmer.kav.ToH4818to meet youלִקְרָאתֶ֑ךָlik.ra.Te.chaH7122?Is this the timeהַעֵ֞תha.'EtH6256to acceptלָקַ֤חַתla.Ka.chatH3947אֶת־'et-H853moneyהַכֶּ֙סֶף֙ וְלָקַ֣חַתha.Ke.sef ve.la.Ka.chatH3701 H3947and clothingבְּגָדִ֔יםbe.ga.DimH899,olive grovesוְזֵיתִ֤יםve.zei.TimH2132and vineyardsוּכְרָמִים֙u.khe.ra.MimH3754,sheepוְצֹ֣אןve.TzonH6629and oxenוּבָקָ֔רu.va.KarH1241,menservantsוַעֲבָדִ֖יםva.'a.va.DimH5650and maidservantsוּשְׁפָחֽוֹת׃u.she.fa.ChotH8198?

27Therefore, the leprosyוְצָרַ֤עַתve.tza.Ra.'atH6883of Naamanנַֽעֲמָן֙na.'a.ManH5283will clingתִּֽדְבַּק־tid.bak-H1692to youand your descendantsוּֽבְזַרְעֲךָU.ve.zar.'a.khaH2233foreverלְעוֹלָ֑םle.'o.LamH5769!”And as Gehazi leftוַיֵּצֵ֥אvai.ye.Tze'H3318his presenceמִלְּפָנָ֖יוmi.le.fa.NavH6440, he wasleprousמְצֹרָ֥עme.tzo.Ra'H6879—as whiteas snowכַּשָּֽׁלֶג׃ סka.Sha.legH7950.
