29So Elisha saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Gehaziלְגֵיחֲזִ֜יle.gei.cha.ZiH1522, “Tie upחֲגֹ֣רcha.GorH2296your garmentמָתְנֶ֗יךָma.te.Nei.khaH4975,takeוְקַ֨חve.KachH3947my staffמִשְׁעַנְתִּ֣יmish.'an.TiH4938in your handבְיָדְךָ֮ve.ya.de.KhaH3027,and goוָלֵךְ֒va.leKhH1980!Ifכִּֽי־ki-H3588you meetתִמְצָ֥אtim.Tza'H4672anyoneאִישׁ֙'ishH376,do notלֹ֣אlo'H3808greet himתְבָרְכֶ֔נּוּte.va.re.Khe.nuH1288,and ifוְכִֽי־ve.khi-H3588anyoneאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376greets youיְבָרֶכְךָ֥ye.va.rekh.KhaH1288,do notלֹ֣אlo'H3808answer himתַעֲנֶנּ֑וּta.'a.ne.NuH6030.Then layוְשַׂמְתָּ֥ve.sam.TaH7760my staffמִשְׁעַנְתִּ֖יmish.'an.TiH4938onעַל־'al-H5921the boy’sהַנָּֽעַר׃ha.Na.'arH5288faceפְּנֵ֥יpe.NeiH6440.”

30And the motherאֵ֣ם'emH517of the boyהַנַּ֔עַרha.Na.'arH5288saidוַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙va.To.merH559, “As surely as the LORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068livesחַי־chai-H2416and as you yourselfנַפְשְׁךָ֖naf.she.KhaH5315liveוְחֵֽי־ve.chei-H2416,I will notאִם־'im-H518leave youאֶעֶזְבֶ֑ךָּ'e.'ez.Ve.kaH5800.”So he got upוַיָּ֖קָםvai.Ya.komH6965and followedוַיֵּ֥לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980herאַחֲרֶֽיהָ׃'a.cha.Rei.haH310.

31Gehaziוְגֵחֲזִ֞יve.ge.cha.ZiH1522went onעָבַ֣ר'a.VarH5674ahead of themלִפְנֵיהֶ֗םlif.nei.HemH6440and laidוַיָּ֤שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760אֶת־'et-H853the staffהַמִּשְׁעֶ֙נֶת֙ha.mish.'E.netH4938onעַל־'al-H5921the boy’sהַנַּ֔עַרha.Na.'arH5288faceפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440,but there was noוְאֵ֥יןve.'EinH369soundק֖וֹלKolH6963orוְאֵ֣יןve.'EinH369responseקָ֑שֶׁבKa.shevH7182.So he went backוַיָּ֤שָׁבvai.Ya.shovH7725to meetלִקְרָאתוֹ֙lik.ra.ToH7122Elishaand toldוַיַּגֶּד־vai.ya.ged-H5046himלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “The boyהַנָּֽעַר׃ha.Na.'arH5288has notלֹ֥אlo'H3808awakenedהֵקִ֖יץhe.KitzH6974.”
