29Then he saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Gehaziלְגֵיחֲזִ֜יle.gei.cha.ZiH1522, “GetH2296 H4975readyH2296 H4975andtakeוְקַ֨חve.KachH3947my staffמִשְׁעַנְתִּ֣יmish.'an.TiH4938in your handבְיָדְךָ֮ve.ya.de.KhaH3027,and goוָלֵךְ֒va.leKhH1980;ifכִּֽי־ki-H3588you meetתִמְצָ֥אtim.Tza'H4672anyoneאִישׁ֙'ishH376, do notgreetתְבָרְכֶ֔נּוּte.va.re.Khe.nuH1288him, and ifוְכִֽי־ve.khi-H3588anyoneאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376greetsיְבָרֶכְךָ֥ye.va.rekh.KhaH1288you, do not replyתַעֲנֶנּ֑וּta.'a.ne.NuH6030to him. Andlayוְשַׂמְתָּ֥ve.sam.TaH7760my staffמִשְׁעַנְתִּ֖יmish.'an.TiH4938on the boy’sהַנָּֽעַר׃ha.Na.'arH5288faceפְּנֵ֥יpe.NeiH6440.”

30The motherאֵ֣ם'emH517of the boyהַנַּ֔עַרha.Na.'arH5288saidוַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙va.To.merH559, “As surely asthe Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068livesחַי־chai-H2416and you yourselfנַפְשְׁךָ֖naf.she.KhaH5315liveוְחֵֽי־ve.chei-H2416,I will not leaveאֶעֶזְבֶ֑ךָּ'e.'ez.Ve.kaH5800you.” So he gotH6965upH6965and followedוַיֵּ֥לֶךְ אַחֲרֶֽיהָ׃vai.Ye.lekh 'a.cha.Rei.haH1980 H310her.

31Then Gehaziוְגֵחֲזִ֞יve.ge.cha.ZiH1522wentH5674onH5674aheadלִפְנֵיהֶ֗םlif.nei.HemH6440of them and laidוַיָּ֤שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760the staffהַמִּשְׁעֶ֙נֶת֙ha.mish.'E.netH4938on the boy’sהַנַּ֔עַרha.Na.'arH5288faceפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440,but thereH369wasH369noH369soundק֖וֹלKolH6963orH369responseקָ֑שֶׁבKa.shevH7182.So he returnedוַיָּ֤שָׁבvai.Ya.shovH7725to meetלִקְרָאתוֹ֙lik.ra.ToH7122him and informedוַיַּגֶּד־vai.ya.ged-H5046him, sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “The boyהַנָּֽעַר׃ha.Na.'arH5288has not awakenedH7019.”
