1Now the wifeH802of oneאַחַ֣ת'a.ChatH259of the sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of the prophetsהַ֠נְּבִיאִיםHa.ne.vi.'imH5030cried outצָעֲקָ֨הtza.'a.KahH6817toאֶל־'el-H413Elishaאֱלִישָׁ֜ע לֵאמֹ֗ר'e.li.Sha' le.MorH477H559, “Your servantעַבְדְּךָ֤'av.de.KhaH5650,my husbandאִישִׁי֙'i.ShiH376,is deadמֵ֔תMetH4191,and youוְאַתָּ֣הve.'a.TahH859knowיָדַ֔עְתָּya.Da'.taH3045thatכִּ֣יkiH3588your servantעַבְדְּךָ֔'av.de.KhaH5650הָיָ֥הha.YahH1961fearedיָרֵ֖אya.Re'H3373אֶת־'et-H853the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068.And now his creditorוְהַ֨נֹּשֶׁ֔הve.Ha.no.ShehH5383is comingבָּ֗אBa'H935to takeלָקַ֜חַתla.Ka.chatH3947אֶת־'et-H853my twoשְׁנֵ֧יshe.NeiH8147childrenיְלָדַ֛יye.la.DaiH3206as hisslavesלַעֲבָדִֽים׃la.'a.va.DimH5650!”
2“Howמָ֣הmahH4100can Iאֶֽעֱשֶׂה־'e.'e.seh-H6213help you?”askedוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559Elishaאֵלֶ֤יהָ אֱלִישָׁע֙'e.Lei.ha 'e.li.Sha'H477H413. “Tellהַגִּ֣ידִיha.Gi.diH5046me,whatמַה־mah-H4100do you haveיֶּשׁ־yesh-H3426in the houseבַּבָּ֑יִתba.Ba.yitH1004?”She answeredוַתֹּ֗אמֶרva.To.merH559, “Your servantלְשִׁפְחָתְךָ֥le.shif.cha.te.KhaH8198has nothingאֵ֣ין כֹל֙'ein kholH369H3605in the houseבַּבַּ֔יִתba.Ba.yitH1004butכִּ֖י אִם־ki 'im-H3588H518a jarאָס֥וּךְ'a.SukhH610of oilשָֽׁמֶן׃Sha.menH8081.”
3“Goלְכִ֨יle.KhiH1980,”saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559Elisha, “borrowשַׁאֲלִי־sha.'a.li-H7592כֵּלִים֙ke.LimH3627emptyרֵקִ֖יםre.KimH7386jarsכֵּלִ֥יםke.LimH3627fromמִן־min-H4480allהַח֔וּץ מֵאֵ֖ת כָּל־ha.Chutz me.'Et kol-H2351H854H3605your neighborsשְׁכֵנָ֑יִךְshikh.ni.kheH7934.Do notאַל־'al-H408gather just a fewתַּמְעִֽיטִי׃tam.'I.tiH4591.
4Then go insideוּבָ֗אתu.VatH935,shutוְסָגַ֤רְתְּve.sa.GartH5462the doorהַדֶּ֙לֶת֙ha.De.letH1817behind youבַּעֲדֵ֣ךְba.'a.DekhH1157andוּבְעַד־u.ve.'ad-H1157your sonsבָּנַ֔יִךְba.Na.yikhH1121,and pourוְיָצַ֕קְתְּve.ya.TzaktH3332oil intoעַ֥ל'alH5921allכָּל־kol-H3605theseהָאֵ֑לֶּהha.'E.lehH428jarsהַכֵּלִ֖יםha.ke.LimH3627,setting the full onesוְהַמָּלֵ֖אve.ha.ma.Le'H4392asideתַּסִּֽיעִי׃ta.Si.'iH5265.”
5So she leftוַתֵּ֙לֶךְ֙va.Te.lekhH1980himמֵֽאִתּ֔וֹme.'i.ToH854,and after she had shutוַתִּסְגֹּ֣רva.tis.GorH5462the doorהַדֶּ֔לֶתha.De.letH1817behind herבַּעֲדָ֖הּba.'a.DahH1157andוּבְעַ֣דu.ve.'AdH1157her sonsבָּנֶ֑יהָba.Nei.haH1121,theyהֵ֛םhemH1992kept bringingמַגִּשִׁ֥יםma.gi.ShimH5066jarsto herאֵלֶ֖יהָ'e.Lei.haH413,and sheוְהִ֥יאve.Hi'H1931kept pouringמוֹצָֽקֶת׃mei.tza.ketH3332.
6Whenוַיְהִ֣י׀vay.HiH1961all the jarsהַכֵּלִ֗יםha.ke.LimH3627were fullכִּמְלֹ֣אתkim.LotH4390,she saidוַתֹּ֤אמֶרva.To.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413her sonבְּנָהּ֙be.NahH1121, “Bring meהַגִּ֨ישָׁה אֵלַ֥יha.Gi.shah 'e.LaiH5066H413anotherעוֹד֙ כֶּ֔לִי'Od Ke.liH5750H3627.”But he repliedוַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלֶ֔יהָvai.Yo.mer 'e.Lei.haH559H413, “There are noאֵ֥ין'einH369moreע֖וֹדodH5750jarsכֶּ֑לִיKe.liH3627.”Then the oilהַשָּֽׁמֶן׃ha.Sha.menH8081stopped flowingוַֽיַּעֲמֹ֖דvai.ya.'a.ModH5975.
7She wentוַתָּבֹ֗אva.ta.Vo'H935and toldוַתַּגֵּד֙va.ta.GedH5046the manלְאִ֣ישׁle.'IshH376of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430,and he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Goלְכִי֙le.KhiH1980,sellמִכְרִ֣יmikh.RiH4376אֶת־'et-H853the oilהַשֶּׁ֔מֶןha.She.menH8081,and payוְשַׁלְּמִ֖יve.sha.le.MiH7999אֶת־'et-H853your debtנִשְׁיֵ֑ךְnish.ye.kheH5386.Then youוְאַ֣תְּve.'AtH859and your sonsוּבָנַ֔יִךְve.ba.nei.kheH1121can liveתִֽחְיִ֖יtich.YiH2421on the remainderבַּנּוֹתָֽר׃ פba.no.TarH3498.”
