6He remained faithfulוַיִּדְבַּק֙vai.yid.BakH1692to the LORDבַּֽיהוָ֔הba.Yah.wehH3068and did notלֹא־lo'-H3808turnסָ֖רsarH5493from following Himמֵאַֽחֲרָ֑יוme.'a.cha.RavH310;he keptוַיִּשְׁמֹר֙vai.yish.MorH8104the commandmentsמִצְוֹתָ֔יוmitz.vo.TavH4687thatאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068אֶת־'et-H853had givenצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃mo.ShehH4872.

7And the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068wasוְהָיָ֤הve.ha.YahH1961withעִמּ֔וֹi.MoH5973Hezekiah,and he prosperedיַשְׂכִּ֑ילyas.KilH7919whereverבְּכֹ֥לbe.KholH3605אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834he wentיֵצֵ֖אye.Tze'H3318.He rebelledוַיִּמְרֹ֥דvai.yim.RodH4775against the kingבְּמֶֽלֶךְ־be.Me.lekh-H4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֖וּר'a.ShurH804and refusedוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808to serve himעֲבָדֽוֹ׃a.va.DoH5647.

10And at the endמִקְצֵה֙mik.TzehH7097of threeשָׁלֹ֣שׁsha.LoshH7969yearsשָׁנִ֔יםsha.NimH8141,the Assyrians captured itוַֽיִּלְכְּדֻ֗הָvai.yil.ke.Du.haH3920.So Samariaשֹׁמְרֽוֹן׃sho.me.RonH8111was capturedנִלְכְּדָ֖הnil.ke.DahH3920in the sixthשֵׁ֖שׁsheshH8337yearבִּשְׁנַת־bish.nat-H8141of Hezekiahלְחִזְקִיָּ֑הle.chiz.ki.YahH2396,whichהִ֣יאhi'H1931was the ninthתֵּ֗שַׁעTe.sha'H8672yearשְׁנַת־she.nat-H8141of Hosheaלְהוֹשֵׁ֙עַ֙le.ho.She.a'H1954kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478.

11The kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֛וּר'a.ShurH804אֶת־'et-H853exiledוַיֶּ֧גֶלvai.Ye.gelH1540the Israelitesיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478to Assyriaאַשּׁ֑וּרָה'a.Shu.rahH804and settled themוַיַּנְחֵ֞םvai.yan.ChemH5148in Halahבַּחְלַ֧חbach.LachH2477,in Gozanגּוֹזָ֖ןgo.ZanH1470by the Haborוּבְחָב֛וֹרu.ve.cha.VorH2249Riverנְהַ֥רne.HarH5104,and in the citiesוְעָרֵ֥יve.'a.ReiH5892of the Medesמָדָֽי׃ma.DaiH4074.

12This happenedbecauseעַ֣ל׀'alH5921אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834they did notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808listenשָׁמְע֗וּsha.me.'UH8085to the voiceבְּקוֹל֙be.kOlH6963of the LORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068their Godאֱלֹהֵיהֶ֔ם'e.lo.hei.HemH430,but violatedוַיַּעַבְרוּ֙vai.ya.'av.RuH5674אֶת־'et-H853His covenantבְּרִית֔וֹbe.ri.ToH1285אֵ֚ת'etH853—allכָּל־kol-H3605thatאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872the servantעֶ֣בֶד'E.vedH5650of the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֔הtzi.VahH6680—and would neitherוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808listenשָׁמְע֖וּsha.me.'UH8085norוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808obeyעָשֽׂוּ׃ פ'a.SuH6213.
