11So Jehuיֵה֗וּאye.Hu'H3058אֵ֣ת'etH853killedוַיַּ֣ךְvai.YakhH5221everyoneכָּל־kol-H3605in Jezreelבְּיִזְרְעֶ֔אלbe.yiz.re.'ElH3157who remainedהַנִּשְׁאָרִ֤יםha.nish.'a.RimH7604of the houseלְבֵית־le.veit-H1004of Ahabאַחְאָב֙'ach.'AvH256,as well as allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605his great menגְּדֹלָ֖יוge.do.LavH1419and close friendsוּמְיֻדָּעָ֣יוu.me.yu.da.'AvH3045and priestsוְכֹהֲנָ֑יו עַד־ve.kho.ha.Nav 'ad-H3548 H5704,leavingהִשְׁאִֽיר־hish.'ir-H7604himwithoutבִּלְתִּ֥יbil.TiH1115a singlesurvivorשָׂרִֽיד׃sa.RidH8300.

12Then Jehu set outוַיָּ֙קָם֙ וַיָּבֹ֔א וַיֵּ֖לֶךְvai.Ya.kom vai.ya.Vo' vai.Ye.lekhH6965 H935 H1980toward Samariaשֹׁמְר֑וֹן ה֛וּאsho.me.Ron hu'H8111 H1931.At Beth-ekedH1044of the Shepherdsהָרֹעִ֖יםha.ro.'ImH7462בַּדָּֽרֶךְ׃ba.Da.rekhH1870,

13Jehuוְיֵה֗וּאve.ye.Hu'H3058metמָצָא֙ma.Tza'H4672אֶת־'et-H853some relativesאֲחֵי֙'a.CheiH251of Ahaziahאֲחַזְיָ֣הוּ'a.chaz.Ya.huH274kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063and askedוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Whoמִ֣יmiH4310are youאַתֶּ֑ם'a.TemH859?” “We areאֲנַ֔חְנוּ'a.Nach.nuH587relativesאֲחֵ֤י'a.CheiH251of Ahaziahאֲחַזְיָ֙הוּ֙'a.chaz.Ya.huH274,”they answeredוַיֹּאמְר֗וּvai.yo.me.RuH559, “and we have come downוַנֵּ֛רֶדva.Ne.redH3381to greetלִשְׁל֥וֹםlish.LomH7965the sonsבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428andוּבְנֵ֥יu.ve.NeiH1121of the queen motherהַגְּבִירָֽה׃ha.ge.vi.RahH1377.”

14Then Jehu orderedוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559, “Take themתִּפְשׂ֣וּםtif.SumH8610aliveחַיִּ֔יםchai.YimH2416.”So his men took themוַֽיִּתְפְּשׂ֖וּםvai.yit.pe.SumH8610aliveחַיִּ֑יםchai.YimH2416,then slaughtered themוַֽיִּשְׁחָט֞וּםvai.yish.cha.TumH7819atאֶל־'el-H413the wellבּ֣וֹרBorH953of Beth-ekedH1044—forty-twoאַרְבָּעִ֤ים וּשְׁנַ֙יִם֙'ar.ba.'Im u.she.Na.yimH705 H8147menאִ֔ישׁ'IshH376.Heוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808sparedהִשְׁאִ֥ירhish.'IrH7604noneאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376of them.

15When he leftוַיֵּ֣לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980thereמִשָּׁ֡םmi.ShamH8033,he foundוַיִּמְצָ֣אvai.yim.Tza'H4672אֶת־'et-H853Jehonadabיְהוֹנָדָב֩ye.ho.na.DavH3082sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Rechabרֵכָ֨בre.KhavH7394,who was coming to meet himלִקְרָאת֜וֹlik.ra.ToH7122. Jehugreeted himוַֽיְבָרְכֵ֗הוּvay.va.re.Khe.huH1288and askedוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559אֵלָ֜יו'e.LavH413, “Isהֲיֵ֧שׁ אֶת־ha.Yesh 'et-H3426 H854your heartלְבָבְךָ֣le.va.ve.KhaH3824as true to mineיָשָׁ֗רya.SharH3477asכַּאֲשֶׁ֤רka.'a.SherH834my heartלְבָבִי֙le.va.ViH3824isעִם־'im-H5973to yoursלְבָבֶ֔ךָle.va.Ve.khaH3824?” “It isיֵ֛שׁyeshH3426!”Jehonadabיְהוֹנָדָ֥בye.ho.na.DavH3082repliedוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559. “If it is,” said Jehuוָיֵ֖שׁva.YeshH3426, “giveתְּנָ֣הte.NahH5414meאֶת־'et-H853your handיָדֶ֑ךָya.De.khaH3027.”So he gave himוַיִּתֵּ֣ןvai.yi.TenH5414his handיָד֔וֹya.DoH3027,and Jehu helped himוַיַּעֲלֵ֥הוּvai.ya.'a.Le.huH5927intoאֵלָ֖יו'e.LavH413his chariotאֶל־ הַמֶּרְכָּבָֽה׃'el- ha.mer.ka.VahH4818 H413,

16sayingוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559, “Comeלְכָ֣הle.KhahH1980with meאִתִּ֔י'i.TiH854and seeוּרְאֵ֖הu.re.'EhH7200my zealבְּקִנְאָתִ֣יbe.kin.'a.TiH7068for the LORDלַיהוָ֑הla.Yah.wehH3068!”So he had him rideוַיַּרְכִּ֥בוּvai.yar.Ki.vuH7392אֹת֖וֹ'o.ToH853in his chariotבְּרִכְבּֽוֹ׃be.rikh.BoH7393.

17When Jehu cameוַיָּבֹא֙vai.ya.Vo'H935to Samariaשֹֽׁמְר֔וֹןsho.me.RonH8111,he struck downוַ֠יַּךְVai.yakhH5221אֶת־'et-H853everyoneכָּל־kol-H3605belonging to Ahabלְאַחְאָ֛בle.'ach.'AvH256who remainedהַנִּשְׁאָרִ֧יםha.nish.'a.RimH7604thereבְּשֹׁמְר֖וֹןbe.sho.me.RonH8111,untilעַד־'ad-H5704he had destroyed themהִשְׁמִיד֑וֹhish.mi.DoH8045,according to the wordכִּדְבַ֣רkid.VarH1697thatאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068had spokenדִּבֶּ֖רdi.BerH1696toאֶל־'el-H413Elijahאֵלִיָּֽהוּ׃ פ'e.li.Ya.huH452.
