4So Saul passedוַיַּעֲבֹ֧רvai.ya.'a.VorH5674through the hill countryבְּהַר־be.har-H2022of Ephraimאֶפְרַ֛יִם'ef.Ra.yimH669and then through the landבְּאֶֽרֶץ־be.'e.retz-H776of Shalishahשָׁלִ֖שָׁהsha.Li.shahH8031,but they did notוְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808findמָצָ֑אוּma.Tza.'uH4672the donkeys. He and the servantwentוַיַּעֲבֹ֥רvai.ya.'a.VorH5674through the regionבְאֶֽרֶץ־ve.'e.retz-H776of Shaalimשַׁעֲלִים֙sha.'a.LimH8171,but they were notוַיַּעַבְר֤וּ וָאַ֔יִןvai.ya.'av.Ru va.'A.yinH369 H5674there.Then they wentוַיַּעֲבֹ֥רvai.ya.'a.VorH5674through the landבְּאֶֽרֶץ־be.'e.retz-H776of Benjaminיְמִינִ֖יye.mi.NiH3227,and still they did notוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808find themמָצָֽאוּ׃ma.Tza.'uH4672.

5When theyהֵ֗מָּהHe.mahH1992reachedבָּ֚אוּBa.'uH935the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Zuphצ֔וּףTzufH6689,Saulוְשָׁא֥וּלve.sha.'UlH7586saidאָמַ֛ר'a.MarH559to his servantלְנַעֲר֥וֹle.na.'a.RoH5288אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834עִמּ֖וֹi.MoH5973, “Comeלְכָ֣הle.KhahH1980,let us go backוְנָשׁ֑וּבָהve.na.Shu.vahH7725,orפֶּן־pen-H6435my fatherאָבִ֛י'a.ViH1will stopיֶחְדַּ֥לyech.DalH2308worryingaboutמִן־min-H4480the donkeysהָאֲתֹנ֖וֹתha.'a.to.NotH860and start worryingוְדָ֥אַגve.Da.'agH1672about us.”
