Uzzah Touches the Ark

9When they cameוַיָּבֹ֖אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935toעַד־'ad-H5704the threshing floorגֹּ֣רֶןGo.renH1637of Chidonכִּידֹ֑ןki.DonH3592,Uzzahעֻזָּ֜א'u.Za'H5798אֶת־'et-H853יָד֗וֹya.DoH3027reached outוַיִּשְׁלַ֨חvai.yish.LachH7971and took holdלֶאֱחֹז֙le.'e.ChozH270ofאֶת־'et-H853the arkהָ֣אָר֔וֹןha.'a.RonH727,becauseכִּ֥יkiH3588the oxenהַבָּקָֽר׃ha.ba.KarH1241had stumbledשָֽׁמְט֖וּsha.me.TuH8058.
10And the angerאַ֤ף'afH639of the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068burnedוַיִּֽחַר־vai.yi.char-H2734against Uzzahבְּעֻזָּ֔אbe.'u.Za'H5798,and He struck himוַיַּכֵּ֕הוּvai.ya.Ke.huH5221downעַ֛ל'alH5921becauseאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834he had putשָׁלַ֥חsha.LachH7971his handיָד֖וֹya.DoH3027onעַל־'al-H5921the arkהָאָר֑וֹןha.'a.RonH727.So he diedוַיָּ֥מָתvai.Ya.motH4191thereשָׁ֖םshamH8033beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440Godאֱלֹהִֽים׃'E.lo.HimH430.
11Then Davidלְדָוִ֔ידle.da.VidH1732became angryוַיִּ֣חַרvai.Yi.charH2734becauseכִּֽי־ki-H3588the LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068had burst forthפָרַ֧ץ פֶּ֖רֶץfa.Ratz Pe.retzH6555H6556against Uzzahבְּעֻזָּ֑אbe.'u.Za'H5798.So he namedוַיִּקְרָ֞אvai.yik.Ra'H7121thatהַהוּא֙ha.Hu'H1931placeלַמָּק֤וֹםla.ma.KomH4725Perez-uzzahH6560,as it is called toעַ֖ד'adH5704thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117.

14Thus the arkאֲר֨וֹן'a.RonH727of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֜יםha.'E.lo.HimH430remainedוַיֵּשֶׁב֩vai.ye.ShevH3427withעִם־'im-H5973the familyבֵּ֨יתbeitH1004of Obed-edomH5654in his houseבְּבֵית֖וֹbe.vei.ToH1004for threeשְׁלֹשָׁ֣הshe.lo.ShahH7969monthsחֳדָשִׁ֑יםcho.da.ShimH2320,and the LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068אֶת־'et-H853blessedוַיְבָ֧רֶךְvay.Va.rekhH1288hisH5654וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853householdבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004and everythingכָּל־kol-H3605אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834he owned.
