Hosea 11:2-7
2The more the prophets calledH7121 them, the more they wentH1980 from them: they sacrificedH2076 unto the Baalim, and burned incenseH6999 to graven images. 3Yet I taught EphraimH669 to walk; I tookH3947 them on my armsH2220; but they knewH3045 not that I healedH7495 them. 4I drewH4900 them with cordsH5688 of a manH120, with bands of loveH160; and I wasH1961 to them as they that liftH7311 up the yokeH5923 on their jawsH3895; and I laid food before them.
5They shall not returnH7725 into the landH776 of EgyptH4714; but the Assyrian shall be their kingH4428, because they refusedH3985 to returnH7725 to me. 6And the swordH2719 shall fall upon their citiesH5892, and shall consumeH398 their bars, and devourH398 them, because of their own counselsH4156. 7And my peopleH5971 are bent on backsliding from me: though they callH7121 them to him that is on highH7311, none at all will exaltH7311 him.
