4And theygaveוַיִּתְּנ֣וּvai.yi.te.NuH5414toJacobיַעֲקֹ֗בya.'a.KoH3290all theforeignהַנֵּכָר֙ha.ne.KharH5236godsאֱלֹהֵ֤י'e.lo.HeiH430which were in theirhandבְּיָדָ֔םbe.ya.DamH3027, and theearringsהַנְּזָמִ֖יםha.ne.za.MimH5141which were in theirearsבְּאָזְנֵיהֶ֑םbe.'a.ze.nei.HemH241; andJacobיַעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290hidוַיִּטְמֹ֤ןvai.yit.MonH2934them under theoakהָאֵלָ֖הha.'e.LahH424which was byShechemשְׁכֶֽם׃she.KhemH7927.

5And theyjourneyedוַיִּסָּ֑עוּvai.yi.Sa.'uH5265: and theterrorחִתַּ֣תchi.TatH2847ofGodאֱלֹהִ֗ים'E.lo.HimH430was on thecitiesהֶֽעָרִים֙he.'a.RimH5892that werearoundסְבִיבֹ֣תֵיהֶ֔םse.vi.Vo.tei.HemH5439them, and they did notpursueרָֽדְפ֔וּra.de.FuH7291afterאַחֲרֵ֖י'a.cha.ReiH310thesonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121ofJacobיַעֲקֹֽב׃ya.'a.KoH3290.

6SoJacobיַעֲקֹ֜בya.'a.KoH3290cameוַיָּבֹ֨אvai.ya.Vo'H935toLuzל֗וּזָהLu.zahH3870, which is in thelandבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776ofCanaanכְּנַ֔עַןke.Na.'anH3667, that is,BethelH1008, he and all thepeopleהָעָ֥םha.'AmH5971that were with him.

7And hebuiltוַיִּ֤בֶןvai.Yi.venH1129there analtarמִזְבֵּ֔חַmiz.Be.achH4196, andcalledוַיִּקְרָא֙vai.yik.Ra'H7121theplaceלַמָּק֔וֹםla.ma.KomH4725ElbethelH416: because thereGodהָֽאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430appearedנִגְל֤וּnig.LuH1540to him, when hefledבְּבָרְח֖וֹbe.va.re.ChoH1272from thefaceמִפְּנֵ֥יmi.pe.NeiH6440of hisbrotherאָחִֽיו׃'a.ChivH251.
