Ezekiel 16:8-32

NowH1961 when I passedH5674 by thee, and lookedH7200 uponH5921 thee, beholdH2009, thy time was the time of loveH1730; and I spreadH6566 my skirtH3671 over thee, and coveredH3680 thy nakednessH6172: yea, I sware unto thee, and enteredH935 intoH935 a covenantH1285 with thee, saith the LordH136 GODH136, and thou becamest mine.

Then washedH7364 I thee with waterH4325; yea, I throughly washedH7364 awayH7857 thy bloodH1818 from thee, and I anointed thee with oilH8081.

I clothedH3847 thee also with broidered workH7553, and shod thee with sealskin, and I girded thee about with fineH8336 linenH8336, and coveredH3680 thee with silkH4897.

I decked thee also with ornamentsH5716, and I putH5414 braceletsH6781 uponH5921 thy handsH3027, and a chainH7242 on thy neckH1627.

And I putH5414 a ringH5141 uponH5921 thy noseH639, and earringsH5141 in thine earsH241, and a beautifulH8597 crownH5850 uponH5921 thine headH7218.

Thus wast thou decked with goldH2091 and silverH3701; and thy raimentH4403 was of fineH5560 linenH8336, and silkH4897, and broidered workH7553; thou didst eatH398 fineH5560 flourH5560, and honeyH1706, and oilH8081: and thou wast exceedingH3966 beautifulH3302, and thou didst prosperH6743 unto royalH4410 estate.

And thy renownH8034 wentH3318 forthH3318 among the nationsH1471 for thy beautyH3308; for it was perfectH3632 throughH5921 my majestyH1926 whichH834 I had putH7760 uponH5921 thee, saith the LordH136 GODH136.

But thou didst trustH982 in thy beautyH3308, and playedst the harlotH2181 becauseH5921 of thy renownH8034, and pouredst outH8210 thy whoredoms on everyH3605 one that passedH5674 by; his it was.

And thou didst takeH3947 of thy garmentsH899, and madest for thee highH1116 placesH1116 decked with divers colours, and playedst the harlotH2181 uponH5921 them: the like things shall notH3808 comeH935, neitherH3808 shall it be soH6213.

Thou didst also takeH3947 thy fair jewelsH3627 of my goldH2091 and of my silverH3701, whichH834 I had givenH5414 thee, and madest for thee imagesH6754 of menH2145, and didst playH2181 the harlotH2181 with them;

and thou tookest thy broidered garmentsH899, and coveredst them, and didst setH5414 mine oilH8081 and mine incenseH7004 beforeH6440 them.

My breadH3899 also whichH834 I gaveH5414 thee, fineH5560 flourH5560, and oilH8081, and honeyH1706, wherewith I fedH398 thee, thou didst even setH5414 it beforeH6440 them for a sweet savour, and thusH1961 it was; saith the LordH136 GODH136.

Moreover thou hast takenH3947 thy sonsH1121 and thy daughtersH1323, whomH834 thou hast borneH3205 unto meH3947, and theseH834 hast thou sacrificedH2076 unto them to be devouredH398. Were thy whoredoms a smallH4592 matterH4592,

that thou hast slainH7819 my childrenH1121, and deliveredH5414 them upH5414, in causing them to passH5674 throughH5674 the fire unto them?

And in allH3605 thine abominationsH8441 and thy whoredoms thou hast notH3808 rememberedH2142 the daysH3117 of thy youthH5271, when thou wast nakedH5903 and bareH6181, and wast weltering in thy bloodH1818.

And it is comeH1961 to passH1961 afterH310 allH3605 thy wickednessH7451, (woeH188, woeH188 unto thee! saith the LordH136 GODH136,)

that thou hast builtH1129 unto thee an eminent placeH7413, and hast madeH6213 thee a lofty placeH7413 in everyH3605 streetH7339.

Thou hast builtH1129 thy lofty placeH7413 at everyH3605 headH7218 of the wayH1870, and hast madeH3605 thy beautyH3308 an abomination, and hast opened thy feetH7272 to everyH3605 one that passedH5674 by, and multipliedH7235 thy whoredom.

Thou hast also committed fornication with the EgyptiansH4714, thy neighbours, great of fleshH1320; and hast multipliedH7235 thy whoredom, to provokeH3707 meH413 to angerH3707.

BeholdH2009 therefore, I have stretchedH5186 outH5186 my handH3027 over thee, and have diminishedH1639 thine ordinary foodH2706, and deliveredH5414 thee unto the will of them that hateH8130 thee, the daughtersH1323 of the PhilistinesH6430, which are ashamedH3637 of thy lewdH2154 wayH1870.

Thou hast playedH2181 the harlotH2181 also with the Assyrians, becauseH413 thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast playedH2181 the harlotH2181 with them, and yet thou wast notH3808 satisfiedH7646.

Thou hast moreoverH1571 multipliedH7235 thy whoredom in the landH776 of CanaanH3667, unto ChaldeaH3778; and yet thou wast notH3808 satisfiedH7646 herewith.

HowH4100 weakH3605 is thine heartH3826, saith the LordH136 GODH136, seeing thou doest allH3605 theseH428 things, the workH4639 of an imperious whorish womanH802;

in that thou buildest thine eminent placeH1961 in the headH7218 of everyH3605 wayH1870, and makest thy lofty placeH1961 in everyH3605 streetH1870; and hast notH3808 been as an harlotH2181, in that thou scornest hireH868.

A wifeH802 that committeth adulteryH5003! that taketh strangersH2114 insteadH8478 of herH3947 husbandH376!
