Revised Version 1895
Ezekiel 13:2-17
SonH1121 of manH120, prophesyH5012 againstH413 the prophetsH5030 of IsraelH3478 that prophesyH5012, and sayH559 thou unto them that prophesyH5012 outH413 of their own heartH3820, HearH8085 ye the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068;
ThusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: WoeH1945 unto the foolishH5036 prophetsH5030, that followH310 their own spiritH7307, and have seenH7200 nothingH1115!
O IsraelH3478, thy prophetsH5030 have been like foxesH7776 in the wasteH2723 placesH2723.
Ye have notH3808 goneH5927 upH5927 intoH5921 the gaps, neitherH3808 madeH5927 upH5927 the fenceH1447 for the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, to standH5975 in the battleH4421 in the dayH3117 of the LORDH3068.
They have seenH2372 vanityH7723 and lyingH3577 divinationH7081, that sayH559, The LORDH3068 saith; and the LORDH3068 hath notH3808 sentH7971 them: and they have made menH559 to hopeH3176 that the wordH1697 should be confirmedH6965.
Have ye notH3808 seenH2372 a vainH7723 visionH4236, and have ye notH3808 spokenH1696 a lyingH3577 divinationH4738, whereas ye sayH559, The LORDH3068 saith; albeit I have notH3808 spokenH1696?
Therefore thusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136: BecauseH3282 ye have spokenH1696 vanityH7723, and seenH2372 liesH3577, therefore, beholdH2005, I am againstH413 youH3282, saith the LordH136 GODH136.
And mine handH3027 shall be againstH413 the prophetsH5030 that seeH3045 vanityH7723, and that divineH7080 liesH3577: they shall notH3808 be in the councilH5475 of my peopleH5971, neitherH3808 shall they be writtenH3789 in the writingH3789 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, neitherH3808 shall they enterH935 intoH413 the landH127 of IsraelH3478; and ye shall knowH3045 that I am the LordH136 GODH136.
BecauseH3282, evenH853 becauseH3282 they have seduced my peopleH5971, sayingH559, PeaceH7965; and there is noH369 peaceH7965; and when one buildeth upH1129 a wallH2434, beholdH2009, they daub it with untempered mortar:
sayH559 unto them whichH7307 daub it with untempered mortar, that it shall fallH5307: there shall be an overflowingH7857 showerH1653; and ye, O great hailstonesH68, shall fallH5307; and a stormy windH7307 shall rend it.
LoH2009, when the wallH7023 is fallenH5307, shall it notH3808 be saidH559 unto youH834, WhereH834 is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?
Therefore thusH3541 saith the LordH136 GODH136; I will evenH3651 rend it with a stormy windH7307 in my furyH2534; and there shall be an overflowingH7857 showerH1653 in mine angerH639, and great hailstonesH68 in furyH2534 to consume it.
SoH834 will I breakH2040 downH5307 the wallH7023 that ye have daubed with untempered mortar, and bringH3045 it downH5307 to the groundH776, soH834 that the foundationH3247 thereof shall be discoveredH3045: and it shall fallH5307, and ye shall be consumedH3615 in the midstH8432 thereof; and ye shall knowH3045 that I am the LORDH3068.
Thus will I accomplishH3615 my furyH2534 upon the wallH7023, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered mortar; and I will sayH559 unto youH853, The wallH7023 is noH369 moreH369, neitherH369 they that daubed it;
to wit, the prophetsH5030 of IsraelH3478 which prophesyH5012 concerning JerusalemH3389, and which see visionsH2377 of peaceH7965 for herH413, and there is noH369 peaceH7965, saith the LordH136 GODH136.
And thou, sonH1121 of manH120, setH7760 thy faceH6440 againstH5921 the daughtersH1323 of thy peopleH5971, which prophesyH5012 outH6440 of their ownH6440 heartH3820; and prophesyH5012 thou againstH5921 them,
