2And thehandיַד־yad-H3027ofMidianמִדְיָ֖ןmid.YanH4080prevailedוַתָּ֥עָזva.Ta.'ozH5810againstH5921Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478: andbecauseH5921ofMidianמִדְיָ֜ןmid.YanH4080thechildrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478madeעָשֽׂוּ'a.SuH6213them thedensהַמִּנְהָרוֹת֙ha.min.ha.rOtH4492whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834are in themountainsבֶּֽהָרִ֔יםbe.ha.RimH2022, and thecavesהַמְּעָר֖וֹתha.me.'a.RotH4631, and thestrongH5810holds.

12And theangelמַלְאַ֣ךְmal.'AkhH4397of theLORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068appearedוַיֵּרָ֥אvai.ye.Ra'H7200unto him, andsaidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, TheLORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068is with thee, thoumightyגִּבּ֥וֹרgi.BorH1368manH1368of valour.

13AndGideonגִּדְעוֹן֙gid.'OnH1439saidH559unto him, Oh mylordH3068,ifH834theLORDH3068be withusH5414,whyוְלָ֥מָּהve.La.mahH4100then isallכָּל־kol-H3605thisbefallenמְצָאַ֖תְנוּme.tza.'At.nuH4672usH5414? andwhereH834beallכָֽל־khol-H3605hiswondrousH6381worksH6381whichH834ourfathersאֲבוֹתֵ֜ינוּ'a.vo.Tei.nuH1toldH559usH5414of,sayingH559,DidH4100notהֲלֹ֤אha.Lo'H3808theLORDH3068bringהֶעֱלָ֣נוּhe.'e.La.nuH5927usH5414upH5927fromEgyptמִמִּצְרַ֙יִם֙mi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714? butnowוְעַתָּה֙ve.'a.TahH6258theLORDH3068hathcastH5414usH5414offH5414, anddeliveredH5414usH5414intoאֵלָ֤יו'e.LavH413thehandבְּכַף־be.khaf-H3709ofMidianמִדְיָֽן׃mid.YanH4080.

14And theLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068lookedוַיִּ֤פֶןvai.Yi.fenH6437uponאֵלָיו֙'e.LavH413him, andsaidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,GoH7971in this thy might, andsaveוְהוֹשַׁעְתָּ֥ve.ho.sha'.TaH3467Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478from thehandמִכַּ֣ףmi.KafH3709ofMidianמִדְיָ֑ןmid.YanH4080: havenotהֲלֹ֖אha.Lo'H3808IsentH7971thee?

15And hesaidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, OhLordאֲדֹנָ֔י'a.do.NaiH136, wherewith shall Isaveאוֹשִׁ֖יעַ'o.Shi.a'H3467Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478?beholdהִנֵּ֤הhi.NehH2009, myfamilyH1004is the poorest inManassehבִּמְנַשֶּׁ֔הbim.na.ShehH4519, and I am theleastהַצָּעִ֖ירha.tza.'IrH6810in myfather’sאָבִֽי׃'a.ViH1houseבְּבֵ֥יתbe.VeitH1004.

16And theLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him,Surelyכִּ֥יkiH3588I will be with thee, and thou shaltsmiteוְהִכִּיתָ֥ve.hi.ki.TaH5221theMidianitesמִדְיָ֖ןmid.YanH4080as onemanכְּאִ֥ישׁke.'IshH376.

17And hesaidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him,Ifאִם־'im-H518nowנָ֛אna'H4994I havefoundמָצָ֥אתִיma.Tza.tiH4672graceחֵ֖ןchenH2580in thysightבְּעֵינֶ֑יךָbe.'ei.Nei.khaH5869, then shewmeH413asignא֔וֹת'otH226that it is thou that talkest withmeH413.

18Departתָמֻ֤שׁta.MushH4185notאַל־'al-H408hence, Iprayנָ֨אna'H4994thee,untilעַד־'ad-H5704Icomeבֹּאִ֣יbo.'IH935unto thee, andbringH935forthH3318mypresentמִנְחָתִ֔יmin.cha.TiH4503, andlayH3318itbeforeלְפָנֶ֑יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440thee. And hesaidוַיֹּאמַ֕רvai.yo.MarH559, I will tarryuntilעַ֥ד'adH5704thoucomeH935againשׁוּבֶֽךָ׃shu.Ve.khaH7725.

22AndGideonגִּדְע֔וֹןgid.'onH1439sawוַיַּ֣רְאvai.Yar'H7200that he was theangelמַלְאַ֥ךְmal.'AkhH4397of theLORDH3068; andGideonגִּדְע֗וֹןgid.'onH1439saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Alasאֲהָהּ֙'a.HahH162, OLordH3068GODH3068! forasmuch as I haveseenרָאִ֙יתִי֙ra.'I.tiH7200theangelמַלְאַ֣ךְmal.'AkhH4397of theLORDH3068faceפָּנִ֖יםpa.NimH6440tofaceפָּנִֽים׃pa.NimH6440.

23And theLORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him,Peaceשָׁל֥וֹםsha.LomH7965be unto thee;fearתִּירָ֑אti.Ra'H3372notH3808: thou shaltnotH3808dieתָּמֽוּת׃ta.MutH4191.

24ThenGideonגִּדְע֤וֹןgid.'onH1439builtוַיִּבֶן֩vai.yi.VenH1129analtarמִזְבֵּ֙חַ֙miz.Be.achH4196there unto theLORDH3068, andcalledוַיִּקְרָא־vai.yik.ra'-H7121it Jehovah-shalom: unto thisdayהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117it is yet inOphrahבְּעָפְרָ֖תbe.'a.fe.RatH6084of theAbiezritesH33.

25And itcameH1961topassH1961thesameהַהוּא֒ha.Hu'H1931nightבַּלַּ֣יְלָהba.Lay.lahH3915, that theLORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֧אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him,Takeקַ֤חkachH3947thyfather’sלְאָבִ֔יךָle.'a.Vi.khaH1bullock,evenH853thesecondהַשֵּׁנִ֖יha.she.NiH8145bullock ofsevenשֶׁ֣בַעShe.va'H7651yearsשָׁנִ֑יםsha.NimH8141oldH8141, and throwdownH3772thealtarמִזְבַּ֤חmiz.BachH4196ofBaalהַבַּ֙עַל֙ha.Ba.'alH1168that thyfatherלְאָבִ֔יךָle.'a.Vi.khaH1hath, andcutתִּכְרֹֽת׃tikh.RotH3772downH3772theAsherahהָאֲשֵׁרָ֥הha.'a.she.RahH842that is by it:

28And when themenH376of thecityהָעִיר֙ha.'IrH5892aroseH7925earlyוַיַּשְׁכִּ֜ימוּvai.yash.Ki.muH7925in themorningבַּבֹּ֔קֶרba.Bo.kerH1242,beholdוְהִנֵּ֤הve.hi.NehH2009, thealtarמִזְבַּ֣חmiz.BachH4196ofBaalהַבַּ֔עַלha.Ba.'alH1168wasbrokenH5422downנֻתַּץ֙nu.TatzH5422, and theAsherahוְהָאֲשֵׁרָ֥הve.ha.'a.she.RahH842wascutכֹּרָ֑תָהko.Ra.tahH3772downH5422that was by it, and thesecondהַשֵּׁנִ֔יha.she.NiH8145bullock wasofferedהֹֽעֲלָ֔הho.'a.LahH5927uponH5921thealtarהַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַha.miz.Be.achH4196that wasbuiltהַבָּנֽוּי׃ha.ba.NuiH1129.

33Thenallוְכָל־ve.kholH3605theMidianitesמִדְיָ֧ןmid.YanH4080and theAmalekitesוַעֲמָלֵ֛קva.'a.ma.LekH6002and thechildrenוּבְנֵי־u.ve.nei-H1121of theeastקֶ֖דֶםKe.demH6924assembledH622themselvesH622togetherיַחְדָּ֑וyach.DavH3162; and theypassedוַיַּעַבְר֥וּvai.ya.'av.RuH5674over, andpitchedוַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּvai.ya.cha.NuH2583in thevalleyבְּעֵ֥מֶקbe.'E.mekH6010ofJezreelיִזְרְעֶֽאל׃yiz.re.'ElH3157
