5But as one wasfellingמַפִּ֣ילma.PilH5307abeamהַקּוֹרָ֔הha.ko.RahH6982, the axe-headfellנָפַ֣לna.FalH5307intoאֶל־'el-H413thewaterהַמָּ֑יִםha.Ma.yimH4325: and hecriedוַיִּצְעַ֥קvai.yitz.'AkH6817, andsaidוַיֹּ֛אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Alasאֲהָ֥הּ'a.HahH162, mymasterאֲדֹנִ֖י'a.do.NiH113! for it wasborrowedשָׁאֽוּל׃sha.'UlH7592.

6And themanאִישׁ־'ish-H376ofGodהָאֱלֹהִ֖יםha.'E.lo.HimH430saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Whereשָׁ֔מָּהSha.mahH8033fellנָפָ֑לna.FalH5307it? And he shewed him theplaceהַמָּק֔וֹםha.ma.KomH4725. And hecutוַיִּקְצָב־vai.yik.tzov-H7094downH5307astickH6086, andcastוַיַּשְׁלֶךְ־vai.yash.lekh-H7993it in thither, andmadeH6086theironהַבַּרְזֶֽל׃ha.bar.ZelH1270to swim.

7And hesaidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,TakeH3947itupהָ֣רֶםHa.remH7311to thee.SoH3947heputH7971outH7971hishandיָד֖וֹya.DoH3027, andtookH3947it.

8NowH1961thekingוּמֶ֣לֶךְu.Me.lekhH4428ofSyriaאֲרָ֔ם'a.RamH758warredagainstH413Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לbe.Yis.ra.'ElH3478; and hetookH1961counselוַיִּוָּעַץ֙vai.yi.va.'AtzH3289with hisservantsעֲבָדָ֣יו'a.va.DavH5650,sayingלֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559, InsuchH492andsuchH492aplaceמְק֛וֹםme.KomH4725shall be mycampתַּחֲנֹתִֽי׃ta.cha.no.TiH8466.

9And themanאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376ofGodהָאֱלֹהִ֗יםha.'E.lo.HimH430sentH7971unto thekingמֶ֤לֶךְMe.lekhH4428ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Bewareהִשָּׁ֕מֶרhi.Sha.merH8104that thoupassמֵעֲבֹ֖רme.'a.VorH5674notH2088suchH2088aplaceהַמָּק֣וֹםha.ma.KomH4725; for thither the Syrians arecomingנְחִתִּֽים׃ne.chi.TimH5185downH7971.

10And thekingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֞חvai.yish.LachH7971to theplaceהַמָּק֞וֹםha.ma.KomH4725whichאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834themanאִישׁ־'ish-H376ofGodהָאֱלֹהִ֛יםha.'E.lo.HimH430toldH559him andwarnedH559him of; and he savedhimselfאֶֽל־'el-H413there,notלֹ֥אlo'H3808onceאַחַ֖ת'a.ChatH259norוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808twiceשְׁתָּֽיִם׃she.Ta.yimH8147.

11And theheartלֵ֣בlevH3820of thekingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428ofSyriaאֲרָ֔ם'a.RamH758was sore troubled for thisthingהַדָּבָ֖רha.da.VarH1697; and hecalledוַיִּקְרָ֤אvai.yik.Ra'H7121hisservantsעֲבָדָיו֙'a.va.DavH5650, andsaidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto them, Will yenotהֲלוֹא֙ha.lO'H3808shewmeH413whichH7945ofusH413is for thekingמֶ֥לֶךְMe.lekhH4428ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478?

12And one of hisservantsמֵֽעֲבָדָ֔יוme.'a.va.DavH5650saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559, Nay, mylordאֲדֹנִ֣י'a.do.NiH113, Okingהַמֶּ֑לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428: butElishaאֱלִישָׁ֤ע'e.li.Sha'H477, theprophetהַנָּבִיא֙ha.na.Vi'H5030that is inIsraelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לbe.Yis.ra.'ElH3478, telleth thekingלְמֶ֣לֶךְle.Me.lekhH4428ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478thewordsהַ֨דְּבָרִ֔יםha.de.va.RimH1697that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.

13And hesaidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,GoH7971andseeוּרְאוּ֙u.re.'UH7200whereH2009he is, that I maysendוְאֶשְׁלַ֖חve.'esh.LachH7971and fetch him. And it wastoldוַיֻּגַּד־vai.yu.gad-H5046him,sayingלֵאמֹ֖רle.MorH559,BeholdH2009, he is inDothanבְדֹתָֽן׃ve.do.TanH1886.

14Thereforesentוַיִּשְׁלַח־vai.yish.lach-H7971he thitherhorsesסוּסִ֥יםsu.SimH5483, andchariotsוְרֶ֖כֶבve.Re.khevH7393, and agreatכָּבֵ֑דka.VedH3515host: and theycameוַיָּבֹ֣אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935bynightלַ֔יְלָהLay.lahH3915, and compassed thecityהָעִֽיר׃ha.'IrH5892aboutעַל־'al-H5921.

15And when theservantנַעֲר֥וֹna.'a.RoH5288of themanאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376ofGodהָֽאֱלֹהִים֮ha.'E.lo.HimH430wasrisenלָקוּם֒la.KumH6965earlyוַ֠יַּשְׁכֵּםVai.yash.kemH7925, andgoneH3318forthH3318,beholdוְהִנֵּה־ve.hi.neh-H2009, an host withhorsesוְס֣וּסve.SusH5483andchariotsוָרָ֑כֶבva.Ra.khevH7393wasroundסוֹבֵ֥בso.VevH5437aboutאֵלָ֛יו'e.LavH413thecityהָעִ֖ירha.'IrH5892.
