AndElishaאֱלִישָׁ֔ע'e.li.Sha'H477saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, As theLORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068liveth, and as thysoulנַפְשְׁךָ֖naf.she.KhaH5315liveth, I willnotאִם־'im-H518leaveאֶעֶזְבֶ֑ךָּ'e.'ez.Ve.kaH5800thee.SoH7971theywentH3381downוַיֵּרְד֖וּvai.ye.re.DuH3381to Beth-el.
3And thesonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of theprophetsהַנְּבִיאִ֥יםha.ne.vi.'ImH5030that were at Beth-elcameH3318forthH3318toElishaאֱלִישָׁע֒'e.li.Sha'H477, andsaidוַיֹּאמְר֣וּvai.yo.me.RuH559unto him, Knowest thou that theLORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068willtakeלֹקֵ֥חַlo.Ke.achH3947awayH3947thymasterאֲדֹנֶ֖יךָ'a.do.Nei.khaH113from thyheadרֹאשֶׁ֑ךָro.She.khaH7218todayהַיּ֗וֹםhai.YomH3117? And hesaidוַיֹּ֛אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Yeaכִּ֣יkiH3588, IknowH3045it; hold ye your peace.

And theytwoשְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃she.nei.HemH8147went on.
7Andfiftyוַחֲמִשִּׁ֨יםva.cha.mi.ShimH2572menאִ֜ישׁ'ishH376of thesonsמִבְּנֵ֤יmi.be.NeiH1121of theprophetsהַנְּבִיאִים֙ha.ne.vi.'ImH5030wentהָֽלְכ֔וּha.le.KhuH1980, andstoodוַיַּעַמְד֥וּvai.ya.'am.DuH5975overagainstH5921themafarמֵרָח֑וֹקme.ra.ChokH7350offH5921: and theytwoוּשְׁנֵיהֶ֖םu.she.nei.HemH8147stoodעָמְד֥וּ'a.me.DuH5975byJordanהַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃hai.yar.DenH3383.
8AndElijahאֵלִיָּ֨הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452tookH3947hismantleאַדַּרְתּ֤וֹ'a.dar.ToH155, and wrapped ittogetherוַיִּגְלֹם֙vai.yig.LomH1563, andsmoteוַיַּכֶּ֣הvai.ya.KehH5221meH3947watersהַמַּ֔יִםha.Ma.yimH4325, and they weredividedוַיֵּחָצ֖וּvai.ye.cha.TzuH2673hither and thither,soH3947that theytwoשְׁנֵיהֶ֖םshe.nei.HemH8147went over ondryבֶּחָרָבָֽה׃be.cha.ra.VahH2724groundH2724.
9And itcameH1961topassכְעָבְרָ֗םkhe.'a.ve.RamH5674, when they weregoneH1961over, thatElijahוְאֵ֨לִיָּ֜הוּve.'E.li.Ya.huH452saidאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559untoElishaאֱלִישָׁע֙'e.li.Sha'H477,Askשְׁאַל֙she.'AlH7592whatמָ֣הmahH4100I shalldoאֶֽעֱשֶׂה־'e.'e.seh-H6213for thee,beforeבְּטֶ֖רֶםbe.Te.remH2962I betakenאֶלָּקַ֣ח'e.la.KachH3947from thee. AndElishaאֱלִישָׁ֔ע'e.li.Sha'H477saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, IprayH4994thee,letH4994adoubleשְׁנַ֥יִםshe.Na.yimH8147portionפִּֽי־pi-H6310of thyspiritבְּרוּחֲךָ֖be.ru.cha.KhaH7307beuponH1961meH413.
10And hesaidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, Thou hastaskedלִשְׁא֑וֹלlish.'olH7592ahardהִקְשִׁ֣יתָhik.Shi.taH7185thingH3651:neverthelessH3651,ifאִם־'im-H518thouseeתִּרְאֶ֨הtir.'EhH7200meH7200when I amtakenלֻקָּ֤חlu.KachH3947from thee, it shall besoH3651unto thee; butifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518notH3808, it shallnotH3808besoH3651.
11And itcameH1961topassH1961, as they stillwentH1980on, andtalkedוְדַבֵּ֔רve.da.BerH1696, that,beholdוְהִנֵּ֤הve.hi.NehH2009, there appeared achariotרֶֽכֶב־re.khev-H7393offireאֵשׁ֙'eshH784, andhorsesוְס֣וּסֵיve.Su.seiH5483offireאֵ֔שׁ'EshH784,whichH784partedוַיַּפְרִ֖דוּvai.yaf.Ri.duH6504thembothשְׁנֵיהֶ֑םshe.nei.HemH8147asunder; andElijahאֵ֣לִיָּ֔הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452wentH1980upוַיַּ֙עַל֙vai.Ya.'alH5927by a whirlwindintoH1980heavenהַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ha.sha.Ma.yimH8064.
12AndElishaוֶאֱלִישָׁ֣עve.'e.li.Sha'H477sawרֹאֶ֗הro.'EhH7200it, and hecriedמְצַעֵק֙me.tza.'EkH6817, Myfatherאָבִ֣י׀'a.ViH1, myfatherאָבִ֗י'a.ViH1, thechariotsרֶ֤כֶבRe.khevH7393ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478and thehorsemenוּפָ֣רָשָׁ֔יוu.Fa.ra.ShavH6571thereof! And hesawרָאָ֖הוּra.'A.huH7200himnoוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808moreע֑וֹדodH5750: and hetookH2388holdוַֽיַּחֲזֵק֙vai.ya.cha.ZekH2388of hisownH2388clothesבִּבְגָדָ֔יוbiv.ga.DavH899, and rent them intwoלִשְׁנַ֥יִםlish.Na.yimH8147piecesקְרָעִֽים׃ke.ra.'ImH7168.
13Hetookאֶת־'et-H853upוַיָּ֙רֶם֙vai.Ya.remH7311also themantleאַדֶּ֣רֶת'a.De.retH155ofElijahאֵלִיָּ֔הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452thatfellנָפְלָ֖הna.fe.LahH5307from him, andwentH7725backוַיָּ֥שָׁבvai.Ya.shovH7725, andstoodוַֽיַּעֲמֹ֖דvai.ya.'a.ModH5975by thebankשְׂפַ֥תse.FatH8193ofJordanהַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃hai.yar.DenH3383.
14And hetookוַיִּקַּח֩vai.yi.KachH3947themantleאַדֶּ֨רֶת'a.De.retH155ofElijahאֵלִיָּ֜הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452thatfellנָפְלָ֤הna.fe.LahH5307from him, andsmoteוַיַּכֶּ֣הvai.ya.KehH5221thewatersהַמַּ֔יִםha.Ma.yimH4325, andsaidוַיֹּאמַ֕רvai.yo.MarH559,Whereאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834is theLORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068, theGodאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430ofElijahאֵלִיָּ֑הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452? and when he also hadsmittenוַיַּכֶּ֣הvai.ya.KehH5221thewatersהַמַּ֗יִםha.Ma.yimH4325, they weredividedוַיֵּֽחָצוּ֙vai.ye.cha.TzuH2673hither and thither: andElishaאֱלִישָֽׁע׃'e.li.Sha'H477went over.

16And theysaidוַיֹּאמְר֣וּvai.yo.me.RuH559unto him,Beholdהִנֵּה־hi.neh-H2009nowנָ֣אna'H4994, there be with thyservantsעֲבָדֶיךָ֩'a.va.dei.KhaH5650fiftyחֲמִשִּׁ֨יםcha.mi.ShimH2572strongחַ֗יִלCha.yilH2428menH376;letH7971themgoH7971,weH6435prayנָא֮na'H4994thee, andseekוִיבַקְשׁ֣וּvi.vak.ShuH1245thymasterאֲדֹנֶיךָ֒'a.do.nei.KhaH113:lestפֶּן־pen-H6435peradventure thespiritר֣וּחַRu.achH7307of theLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068hathtakenH5375himupH5375, andcastוַיַּשְׁלִכֵ֙הוּ֙vai.yash.li.Khe.huH7993himuponH413someH376mountainהֶהָרִ֔יםhe.ha.RimH2022, orintoH413someH376valleyהַגֵּאָי֑וֹתha.ge.ya.'otH1516. And hesaidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, Ye shallnotלֹ֥אlo'H3808sendתִשְׁלָֽחוּ׃tish.La.chuH7971.
17And when theyurgedוַיִּפְצְרוּ־vai.yif.tze.ru-H6484himtillעַד־'ad-H5704he wasashamedבֹּ֖שׁboshH954, hesaidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Sendשְׁלָ֑חוּshe.La.chuH7971. Theysentוַֽיִּשְׁלְחוּ֙vai.yish.le.ChuH7971thereforefiftyחֲמִשִּׁ֣יםcha.mi.ShimH2572menאִ֔ישׁ'IshH376; and theysoughtוַיְבַקְשׁ֥וּvay.vak.ShuH1245threeשְׁלֹשָֽׁה־she.lo.shah-H7969daysיָמִ֖יםya.MimH3117, butfoundמְצָאֻֽהוּ׃me.tza.'U.huH4672himnotוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808.
19And themenH376of thecityהָעִיר֙ha.'IrH5892saidוַיֹּ֨אמְר֜וּvai.Yo.me.RuH559untoElishaאֱלִישָׁ֔ע'e.li.Sha'H477,Beholdהִנֵּה־hi.neh-H2009,weכַּאֲשֶׁ֥רka.'a.SherH834prayנָ֞אna'H4994thee, thesituationמוֹשַׁ֤בmo.ShavH4186of thiscityהָעִיר֙ha.'IrH5892ispleasantט֔וֹבTovH2896, as mylordאֲדֹנִ֖י'a.do.NiH113seeth: but thewaterוְהַמַּ֥יִםve.ha.Ma.yimH4325is naught, and thelandוְהָאָ֥רֶץve.ha.'A.retzH776miscarrieth.
21And hewentH3318forthH3318unto thespringמוֹצָ֣אmo.Tza'H4161of thewatersהַמַּ֔יִםha.Ma.yimH4325, andcastוַיַּשְׁלֶךְ־vai.yash.lekh-H7993saltמֶ֑לַחMe.lachH4417therein, andsaidH559,Thusכֹּֽה־koh-H3541saith theLORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068, I havehealedרִפִּ֙אתִי֙ri.Pi.tiH7495theseהָאֵ֔לֶּהha.'E.lehH428watersלַמַּ֣יִםla.Ma.yimH4325; there shallnotלֹֽא־lo'-H3808be from thenceanyH5750moreH5750deathמָ֥וֶתMa.vetH4194ormiscarryingוּמְשַׁכָּֽלֶת׃u.me.sha.Ka.letH7921.
23And hewentH3318upוַיַּ֥עַלvai.Ya.'alH5927from thence unto Beth-el: and as he wasgoingH3318upעֹלֶ֣ה'o.LehH5927by thewayבַדֶּ֗רֶךְva.De.rekhH1870, therecameH3318forthH3318littleקְטַנִּים֙ke.ta.NimH6996childrenוּנְעָרִ֤יםu.ne.'a.RimH5288outH3318of thecityהָעִ֔ירha.'IrH5892, andmockedוַיִּתְקַלְּסוּ־vai.yit.ka.le.su-H7046him, andsaidוַיֹּ֣אמְרוּvai.Yo.me.ruH559unto him,GoH3318upעֲלֵ֥ה'a.LehH5927, thoubaldקֵרֵ֖חַke.Re.achH7142head;goH3318upעֲלֵ֥ה'a.LehH5927, thoubaldקֵרֵֽחַ׃ke.Re.achH7142head.
24And helookedH7200behindאַֽחֲרָיו֙'a.cha.RavH310him andsawH7200them, andcursedוַֽיְקַלְלֵ֖םvay.ka.LemH7043them in thenameבְּשֵׁ֣םbe.ShemH8034of theLORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068. And therecameH3318forthH3318twoשְׁתַּ֤יִםshe.Ta.yimH8147she-bearsoutH3318of the wood, and tarefortyאַרְבָּעִ֥ים'ar.ba.'ImH705andtwoוּשְׁנֵ֖יu.she.NeiH8147childrenיְלָדִֽים׃ye.la.DimH3206of them.
