7Howbeit theLORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068wouldnotוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808destroyלְהַשְׁחִית֙le.hash.ChitH7843thehouseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004ofDavidדָּוִ֔ידda.VidH1732,becauseH834of thecovenantהַבְּרִ֔יתha.be.RitH1285that he hadmadeכָּרַ֖תka.RatH3772withDavidלְדָוִ֑ידle.da.VidH1732, and as hepromisedאָמַ֗ר'a.MarH559togiveלָתֵ֨תla.TetH5414alampנִ֛ירnirH5216to him and to hischildrenוּלְבָנָ֖יוu.le.va.NavH1121alway.

8In hisdaysבְּיָמָיו֙be.ya.MavH3117Edomאֱד֔וֹם'e.DomH123revoltedפָּשַׁ֣עpa.Sha'H6586fromunderמִתַּ֖חַתmi.Ta.chatH8478thehandיַד־yad-H3027ofJudahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063, and made akingמֶֽלֶךְ׃Me.lekhH4428overthemselvesעֲלֵיהֶ֖ם'a.lei.HemH5921.

9ThenJehoramיְהוֹרָם֙ye.ho.RamH3088passedוַיַּֽעֲבֹ֤רvai.ya.'a.VorH5674over with hiscaptainsשָׂרָ֔יוsa.RavH8269, andallוְכָל־ve.kholH3605hischariotsהָרֶ֖כֶבha.Re.khevH7393with him: and heroseH6965upH6965bynightלַ֔יְלָהLay.lahH3915, andsmoteוַיַּ֗ךְvai.YakhH5221theEdomitesאֱדוֹם֙'e.dOmH123which compassed himaboutוַיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961, and thecaptainsשָׂרֵ֥יsa.ReiH8269of thechariotsהָרָֽכֶב׃ha.Ra.khevH7393.
