39For, as theLORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068liveth, which savethIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,thoughH3588it be inJonathanבְּיוֹנָתָ֥ןbe.yo.na.TanH3129mysonבְּנִ֖יbe.NiH1121, he shallsurelyH3588dieH4191. But there wasnotוְאֵ֥יןve.'EinH369amanH1121amongallמִכָּל־mi.kolH3605thepeopleהָעָֽם׃ha.'AmH5971thatansweredעֹנֵ֖הוּ'o.Ne.huH6030him.

40Thensaidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559he untoallכָּל־kol-H3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478, Be ye on onesideלְעֵ֣בֶרle.'E.verH5676, and I andJonathanוְיוֹנָתָ֣ןve.yo.na.TanH3129mysonבְּנִ֔יbe.NiH1121will be on theotherH259sideלְעֵ֣בֶרle.'E.verH5676. And thepeopleהָעָם֙ha.'AmH5971saidוַיֹּאמְר֤וּvai.yo.me.RuH559untoSaulשָׁא֔וּלsha.'UlH7586,Doעֲשֵֽׂה׃ ס'a.SehH6213whatH2896seemethgoodהַטּ֥וֹבha.TovH2896unto thee.

41ThereforeSaulשָׁא֗וּלsha.'UlH7586saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto theLORDH3068, theGodH430ofIsraelH3478, Shew the right. AndJonathanH3129andSaulוְשָׁא֖וּלve.sha.'UlH7586weretakenוַיִּלָּכֵ֧דvai.yi.la.KhedH3920by lot: but thepeopleH5971escapedיָצָֽאוּ׃ya.Tza.'uH3318.

42AndSaulשָׁא֔וּלsha.'UlH7586saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Castהַפִּ֕ילוּha.Pi.luH5307lotsbetweenH996meH3920andJonathanיוֹנָתָ֣ןyo.na.TanH3129mysonבְּנִ֑יbe.NiH1121. AndJonathanיוֹנָתָֽן׃yo.na.TanH3129wastakenH3920.

43ThenSaulשָׁאוּל֙sha.'UlH7586saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toJonathanי֣וֹנָתָ֔ןyo.na.TanH3129,Tellהַגִּ֥ידָהha.Gi.dahH5046meאֶל־'el-H413whatמֶ֣הmehH4100thou hastdoneH6213. AndJonathanיוֹנָתָ֗ןyo.na.TanH3129toldוַיַּגֶּד־vai.ya.ged-H5046him, andsaidוַיֹּאמֶר֩vai.yo.MerH559, IdidH6213certainlyH4191tasteH2938alittleמְעַ֥טme.'AtH4592honeyדְּבַ֖שׁde.VashH1706with theendבִּקְצֵ֨הbik.TzehH7097of therodהַמַּטֶּ֧הha.ma.TehH4294that was in minehandבְּיָדִ֛יbe.ya.DiH3027; and,loהִנְנִ֥יhi.NiH2005, ImustH4191dieאָמֽוּת׃'a.MutH4191.

44AndSaulשָׁא֔וּלsha.'UlH7586saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430doH6213soH6213andmoreיוֹסִ֑ףyo.SifH3254also: for thou shaltsurelyכִּֽי־ki-H3588dieH4191,Jonathanיוֹנָתָֽן׃yo.na.TanH3129.
