12Nowוְעַתָּ֕הve.'a.TahH6258thereforecomeH4994,letH4994meH4994, IprayH4994thee,giveאִיעָצֵ֥ךְ'i.'a.TzekhH3289theecounselעֵצָ֑ה'e.TzahH6098, that thou mayestsaveוּמַלְּטִי֙u.ma.le.TiH4422thineownH5315lifeנַפְשֵׁ֔ךְnaf.ShekhH5315, and thelifeנֶ֥פֶשׁNe.feshH5315of thysonבְּנֵ֖ךְbe.NekhH1121Solomonשְׁלֹמֹֽה׃she.lo.MohH8010.

14Beholdהִנֵּ֗הhi.NehH2009,whileעוֹדָ֛ךְo.DakhH5750thou yet talkest there with thekingהַמֶּ֑לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428, I also willcomeאָב֣וֹא'a.Vo'H935inafterאַחֲרַ֔יִךְ'a.cha.Ra.yikhH310thee, andconfirmוּמִלֵּאתִ֖יu.mi.le.TiH4390thywordsדְּבָרָֽיִךְ׃de.va.Ra.yikhH1697.

15And Bath-shebawentוַתָּבֹ֨אva.ta.Vo'H935in unto thekingהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428intoאֶל־'el-H413thechamberהַחַ֔דְרָהha.Chad.rahH2315: and thekingוְהַמֶּ֖לֶךְve.ha.Me.lekhH4428wasveryמְאֹ֑דme.'OdH3966oldזָקֵ֣ןza.KenH2204; andAbishagוַֽאֲבִישַׁג֙va.'a.vi.ShagH49theShunammiteהַשּׁ֣וּנַמִּ֔יתha.Shu.na.MitH7767ministeredמְשָׁרַ֖תme.sha.RatH8334unto thekingהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ha.Me.lekhH4428.

17Andsheוְה֖וּאve.Hu'H1931saidH559unto him, MylordH3068, thou swarest by theLORDH3068thyGodאֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙'e.lo.Hei.khaH430unto thinehandmaidלַֽאֲמָתֶ֔ךָla.'a.ma.Te.khaH519,sayingH559, AssuredlySolomonשְׁלֹמֹ֥הshe.lo.MohH8010thysonבְנֵ֖ךְve.NekhH1121shallreignיִמְלֹ֣ךְyim.LokhH4427afterאַחֲרָ֑י'a.cha.RaiH310meH5921, and he shahsitיֵשֵׁ֥בye.ShevH3427uponH5921mythroneכִּסְאִֽי׃kis.'IH3678.

18AndnowH6258,beholdהִנֵּ֥הhi.NehH2009,Adonijahאֲדֹנִיָּ֖ה'a.do.ni.YahH138reigneth; and thou, mylordאֲדֹנִ֥י'a.do.NiH113thekingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428, knowest itnotלֹ֥אlo'H3808:

19and he hath slainoxenשׁ֥וֹרShorH7794andfatlingsוּֽמְרִיא־u.me.ri'-H4806andsheepוְצֹאן֮ve.tzoNH6629inabundanceלָרֹב֒la.RoH7230, and hathcalledוַיִּקְרָא֙vai.yik.Ra'H7121allלְכָל־le.kholH3605thesonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of thekingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428, andAbiatharוּלְאֶבְיָתָר֙u.le.'ev.ya.TarH54thepriestהַכֹּהֵ֔ןha.ko.HenH3548, andJoabוּלְיֹאָ֖בu.le.yo.'AvH3097thecaptainשַׂ֣רsarH8269of thehostהַצָּבָ֑אha.tza.Va'H6635: butSolomonוְלִשְׁלֹמֹ֥הve.lish.lo.MohH8010thyservantעַבְדְּךָ֖'av.de.KhaH5650hath henotלֹ֥אlo'H3808calledקָרָֽא׃ka.Ra'H7121.

20And thou, mylordאֲדֹנִ֣י'a.do.NiH113thekingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428, theeyesעֵינֵ֥י'ei.NeiH5869ofallכָל־khol-H3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478areuponH5921thee, that thou shouldesttellלְהַגִּ֣ידle.ha.GidH5046them who shallsitיֵשֵׁ֛בye.ShevH3427on thethroneכִּסֵּ֥אki.Se'H3678of mylordאֲדֹנִֽי־'a.do.ni-H113thekingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428afterאַחֲרָֽיו׃'a.cha.RavH310him.

21Otherwise it shallcomeוְהָיָ֕הve.ha.YahH1961topassוְהָיִ֗יתִיve.ha.Yi.tiH1961, when mylordאֲדֹנִֽי־'a.do.ni-H113thekingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428shallsleepכִּשְׁכַ֥בkish.KhavH7901with hisfathersאֲבֹתָ֑יו'a.vo.TavH1, that I and mysonוּבְנִ֥יu.ve.NiH1121Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֖הshe.lo.MohH8010shall be countedoffendersחַטָּאִֽים׃cha.ta.'ImH2400.

22And,loוְהִנֵּ֛הve.hi.NehH2009,whileעוֹדֶ֥נָּהo.De.nahH5750sheעִם־'im-H5973yettalkedמְדַבֶּ֖רֶתme.da.Be.retH1696with thekingהַמֶּ֑לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,Nathanוְנָתָ֥ןve.na.TanH5416theprophetהַנָּבִ֖יאha.na.Vi'H5030cameבָּֽא׃Ba'H935in.

29And thekingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428sware, andsaidוַיֹּאמַ֑רvai.yo.MarH559, As theLORDיְהוָ֕הYah.wehH3068liveth, who hathredeemedפָּדָ֥הpa.DahH6299mysoulנַפְשִׁ֖יnaf.ShiH5315outH3605ofallH3605adversityצָרָֽה׃tza.RahH6869,
