14Thenהִנֵּ֗הhi.NehH2009,while you are stillעוֹדָ֛ךְo.DakhH5750thereשָׁ֖םshamH8033speakingמְדַבֶּ֥רֶתme.da.Be.retH1696withעִם־'im-H5973the kingהַמֶּ֑לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,I willוַאֲנִי֙va.'a.NiH589come inאָב֣וֹא'a.Vo'H935after youאַחֲרַ֔יִךְ'a.cha.Ra.yikhH310and confirmוּמִלֵּאתִ֖יu.mi.le.TiH4390אֶת־'et-H853your wordsדְּבָרָֽיִךְ׃de.va.Ra.yikhH1697.”
15So BathshebaH1339wentוַתָּבֹ֨אva.ta.Vo'H935to seeאֶל־'el-H413the kingהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428in his bedroomהַחַ֔דְרָהha.Chad.rahH2315.Since the kingוְהַמֶּ֖לֶךְve.ha.Me.lekhH4428was veryמְאֹ֑דme.'OdH3966oldזָקֵ֣ןza.KenH2204,Abishagוַֽאֲבִישַׁג֙va.'a.vi.ShagH49the Shunammiteהַשּׁ֣וּנַמִּ֔יתha.Shu.na.MitH7767was servingמְשָׁרַ֖תme.sha.RatH8334אֶת־'et-H853himהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ha.Me.lekhH4428.
17“My lordאֲדֹנִי֙'a.do.NiH113,”she repliedוַתֹּ֣אמֶרva.To.merH559, “you yourselfאַתָּ֨ה'a.TahH859sworeנִשְׁבַּ֜עְתָּnish.Ba'.taH7650to your maidservantלַֽאֲמָתֶ֔ךָla.'a.ma.Te.khaH519by the LORDבַּֽיהוָ֤הba.Yah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙'e.lo.Hei.khaH430: ‘Surelyכִּֽי־ki-H3588your sonבְנֵ֖ךְve.NekhH1121Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֥הshe.lo.MohH8010will reignיִמְלֹ֣ךְyim.LokhH4427after meאַחֲרָ֑י'a.cha.RaiH310,and heוְה֖וּאve.Hu'H1931will sitיֵשֵׁ֥בye.ShevH3427onעַל־'al-H5921my throneכִּסְאִֽי׃kis.'IH3678.’
19And he has sacrificedוַ֠יִּזְבַּחVai.yiz.bachH2076an abundanceלָרֹב֒la.RoH7230of oxenשׁ֥וֹרShorH7794,fattened calvesוּֽמְרִיא־u.me.ri'-H4806,and sheepוְצֹאן֮ve.tzoNH6629,and has invitedוַיִּקְרָא֙vai.yik.Ra'H7121all the otherלְכָל־le.kholH3605sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,as well as Abiatharוּלְאֶבְיָתָר֙u.le.'ev.ya.TarH54the priestהַכֹּהֵ֔ןha.ko.HenH3548and Joabוּלְיֹאָ֖בu.le.yo.'AvH3097the commanderשַׂ֣רsarH8269of the armyהַצָּבָ֑אha.tza.Va'H6635.But he has notלֹ֥אlo'H3808invitedקָרָֽא׃ka.Ra'H7121your servantעַבְדְּךָ֖'av.de.KhaH5650Solomonוְלִשְׁלֹמֹ֥הve.lish.lo.MohH8010.
20And as for youוְאַתָּה֙ve.'a.TahH859,my lordאֲדֹנִ֣י'a.do.NiH113the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,the eyesעֵינֵ֥י'ei.NeiH5869of allכָל־khol-H3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478areupon youעָלֶ֑יךָ'a.Lei.khaH5921to tellלְהַגִּ֣ידle.ha.GidH5046themwhoמִ֗יMiH4310will sitיֵשֵׁ֛בye.ShevH3427onעַל־'al-H5921the throneכִּסֵּ֥אki.Se'H3678of my lordאֲדֹנִֽי־'a.do.ni-H113the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428after himאַחֲרָֽיו׃'a.cha.RavH310.
21Otherwise, when my lordאֲדֹנִֽי־'a.do.ni-H113the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428restsכִּשְׁכַ֥בkish.KhavH7901withעִם־'im-H5973his fathersוְהָיָ֕ה אֲבֹתָ֑יוve.ha.Yah 'a.vo.TavH1H1961,Iאֲנִ֛י'a.NiH589and my sonוּבְנִ֥יu.ve.NiH1121Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֖הshe.lo.MohH8010will be countedוְהָיִ֗יתִיve.ha.Yi.tiH1961as criminalsחַטָּאִֽים׃cha.ta.'ImH2400.”
23So the kingלַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙la.Me.lekhH4428was toldוַיַּגִּ֤ידוּ לֵאמֹ֔רvai.ya.Gi.du le.MorH5046H559, “Nathanנָתָ֣ןna.TanH5416the prophetהַנָּבִ֑יאha.na.Vi'H5030is hereהִנֵּ֖הhi.NehH2009.”And Nathan went inוַיָּבֹא֙vai.ya.Vo'H935and bowedוַיִּשְׁתַּ֧חוּvai.yish.Ta.chuH7812facedownעַל־ אַפָּ֖יו אָֽרְצָה׃'al- 'a.Pav 'A.re.tzahH5921H639H776beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440הַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428the kingלַמֶּ֛לֶךְla.Me.lekhH4428.

28Then Kingהַמֶּ֤לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732saidוַיַּ֨עַןvai.Ya.'anH6030וַיֹּ֔אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Call inקִרְאוּ־kir.'u-H7121BathshebaH1339for me.”So she cameוַתָּבֹא֙va.ta.Vo'H935into the king’sהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428presenceלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440and stoodוַֽתַּעֲמֹ֖דva.ta.'a.ModH5975before himלִפְנֵ֥י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃lif.Nei ha.Me.lekhH6440H4428.
29And the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428swore an oathוַיִּשָּׁבַ֥עvai.yi.sha.Va'H7650,sayingוַיֹּאמַ֑רvai.yo.MarH559, “As surely as the LORDיְהוָ֕הYah.wehH3068livesחַי־chai-H2416,whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834has redeemedפָּדָ֥הpa.DahH6299אֶת־'et-H853my lifeנַפְשִׁ֖יnaf.ShiH5315from allמִכָּל־mi.kolH3605distressצָרָֽה׃tza.RahH6869,
