Jeremiah 49:14-22
14I have 1heardH8085 a messageH8052 from the LordH3068, And a 2messengerH6735 is being sentH7971 among the nationsH1471, saying, “3GatherH6908 yourselves together and comeH935 againstH5921 her, And riseH6965 upH6965 for battleH4421!”15“For beholdH2009, I have madeH5414 you smallH6996 among the nationsH1471, DespisedH959 among peopleH120.16As for the terrorH8606 you causeH8606, The arroganceH2087 of your heartH3820 has deceivedH5378 you, You who liveH7931 in the cleftsH2288 of 4the 5rockH5553, Who occupyH8610 the heightH4791 of the hillH1389. ThoughH3588 you makeH1361 your nestH7064 as 6highH1361 as an eagle’sH5404, I will 7bringH3381 you downH3381 from thereH8033,” declaresH5002 the LordH3068.
17“EdomH112 will becomeH1961 an 8objectH8047 ofH8047 horrorH8047; everyoneH3605 who passesH5674 by it will beH8074 appalledH8074 and will 910hissH8319 at allH3605 its woundsH4347. 18Like the 11overthrowH4114 of SodomH5467 and GomorrahH6017 with its neighborsH7934,” saysH559 the LordH3068, “12noH3808 oneH376 will liveH3427 thereH8033, norH3808 will 13anyoneH1121 of mankindH120 resideH1481 in it. 1914BeholdH2009, one will comeH5927 upH5927 like a lionH743 from the 15thicketH1347 of the JordanH3383 to a perenniallyH386 watered pastureH5116; for in an instantH7280 I will chaseH7323 him awayH7323 from it, and I will appointH6485 overH413 it whoeverH4310 is 16chosenH977. For whoH4310 is 17likeH3644 Me, and whoH4310 will summonH3259 Me into court? And whoH4310 thenH2088 is the shepherdH7462 18whoH834 can standH5975 againstH6440 Me?”
20ThereforeH3651 hearH8085 the 19planH6098 of the LordH3068 whichH834 He has plannedH3289 againstH413 EdomH112, and His purposesH4284 whichH834 He hasH2803 inH2803 mindH2803 againstH413 the inhabitantsH3427 of TemanH8487: they will certainlyH518H3808 dragH5498 them offH5498, even the littleH6810 onesH6810 of the flockH6629; He will certainlyH518H3808 makeH8074 their pastureH5116 20desolateH8074 becauseH5921 of them. 21The 21earthH776 has quakedH7493 at the noiseH6963 of their downfallH5307. There is an outcryH6818! The noiseH6963 of it has been heardH8085 at the 22RedH5488 SeaH3220. 22BeholdH2009, 23He will mountH5927 upH5927 and 24swoopH1675 like an eagleH5404, and spreadH6566 outH6566 His wingsH3671 25againstH5921 BozrahH1224; and the 26heartsH3820 of the warriorsH1368 of EdomH112 on that dayH3117 will be like the heartH3820 of a womanH802 in laborH6887.
