2 Kings 21:1-16

11ManassehH4519 was twelveH8147H6240 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he becameH4427 kingH4427, and he reignedH4427 for fifty-fiveH2572 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389; and his mother’sH517 nameH8034 was HephzibahH2657. 22He didH6213 evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LordH3068, 3in accordance with the abominationsH8441 of the nationsH1471 whomH834 the LordH3068 4dispossessedH3423 beforeH4480H6440 the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478. 3For 5he rebuiltH7725H1129 the highH1116 placesH1116 whichH834 his fatherH1 HezekiahH2396 had destroyedH6; and 6he erectedH6965 altarsH4196 for BaalH1168 and madeH6213 an 7AsherahH842, justH3512 asH3512 AhabH256 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 had doneH6213, and he 8worshipedH2331 allH3605 the heavenlyH8064 9lightsH6635 and servedH5647 them. 4And 10he builtH1129 altarsH4196 in the houseH1004 of the LordH3068, of whichH834 the LordH3068 had saidH559, “11In JerusalemH3389 I will putH7760 My nameH8034.” 5He builtH1129 altarsH4196 for 12allH3605 the heavenlyH8064 13lightsH6635 in 14the twoH8147 courtyardsH2691 of the houseH1004 of the LordH3068. 6And 15he made his sonH1121 passH5674 through the fireH784, 16interpretedH6049 signsH6049, practicedH5172 divinationH5172, and usedH6213 mediumsH178 and spiritistsH3049. He didH6213 greatH7235 evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LordH3068, provokingH3707 Him toH3707 angerH3707. 7Then 17he putH7760 the carvedH6459 imageH6459 of AsherahH842 that he had madeH6213 in the houseH1004 of whichH834 the LordH3068 had saidH559 to DavidH1732 and to his sonH1121 SolomonH8010, “18In thisH2088 houseH1004 and in JerusalemH3389, whichH834 I have chosenH977 from allH3605 the tribesH7626 of IsraelH3478, I will putH7760 My nameH8034 foreverH5769. 8And I 19will not make the feetH7272 of IsraelH3478 wanderH5110 anymoreH3254 from the landH127 whichH834 I gaveH5414 their fathersH1, ifH518 onlyH7534 they will takeH8104 careH8104 to actH6213 in accordance with everythingH3605 that I have commandedH6680 them, and with allH3605 the LawH8451 that My servantH5650 MosesH4872 commandedH6680 them.” 9But they did not listenH8085, and ManassehH4519 20encouragedH8582 them to doH6213 evilH7451, moreH4480 thanH4480 the nationsH1471 whomH834 the LordH3068 eliminatedH8045 fromH4480 the presenceH6440 of the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478.

10Now the LordH3068 spokeH1696 throughH3027 His servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030, sayingH559, 11“21SinceH3282H834 ManassehH4519 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 has committedH6213 theseH428 abominationsH8441, 22having doneH7489 moreH4480 evilH7489 thanH4480 allH3605 that the AmoritesH567 didH6213 whoH834 were beforeH6440 him, and 23has alsoH1571 misledH2398 JudahH3063 intoH2398 sinH2398 24with his idolsH1544, 12thereforeH3651 thisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478 saysH559: ‘BeholdH2009, I am bringingH935 such a disasterH7463 on JerusalemH3389 and JudahH3063 that whoeverH3605 hearsH8085 about it, 25bothH8147 of his earsH241 will ringH6750. 1326I will stretchH5186 overH5921 JerusalemH3389 the lineH6957 of SamariaH8111 and the plummetH4949 of the houseH1004 of AhabH256, and I will wipeH4229 JerusalemH3389 cleanH4229 justH3512 asH3512 one wipesH4229 a bowlH6747, wipingH4229 it and turningH2015 it upsideH5921H6440 downH6440. 14And I will abandonH5203 the remnantH7611 of My inheritanceH5159 and handH5414H3027 them overH5414 to their enemiesH340, and they will becomeH1961 as plunderH957 and spoilsH4933 to allH3605 their enemiesH340, 15becauseH3282H834 they have doneH6213 evilH7451 in My sightH5869, and have beenH1961 provokingH3707 Me toH3707 angerH3707 sinceH4480 the dayH3117 their fathersH1 cameH3318 from EgyptH4714, even to thisH2088 dayH3117.’”

1627FurthermoreH1571, ManassehH4519 shedH8210 veryH3966 muchH7235 innocentH5355 bloodH1818 untilH5704H834 he had filledH4390 JerusalemH3389 28from oneH6310 endH6310 to anotherH6310, besidesH905H4480 his sinH2403 29into whichH834 he misledH2398 JudahH3063, in doingH6213 evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LordH3068.
