2 Kings 21:1-16

11ManassehH4519 was twelveH8147H6240 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he becameH4427 kingH4427, and he reignedH4427 fifty-fiveH2572 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389; and his mother’sH517 nameH8034 was HephzibahH2657. 22He didH6213 evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LordH3068, 3according to the abominationsH8441 of the nationsH1471 whomH834 the LordH3068 dispossessedH3423 beforeH4480H6440 the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478. 3For 4he rebuiltH7725H1129 the highH1116 placesH1116 whichH834 HezekiahH2396 his fatherH1 had destroyedH6; and 5he erectedH6965 altarsH4196 for BaalH1168 and madeH6213 an 6AsherahH842, as AhabH256 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 had doneH6213, and 7worshipedH7812 allH3605 the hostH6635 of heavenH8064 and servedH5647 them. 48He builtH1129 altarsH4196 in the houseH1004 of the LordH3068, of whichH834 the LordH3068 had saidH559, “9In JerusalemH3389 I will putH7760 My nameH8034.” 5For he builtH1129 altarsH4196 for 10allH3605 the hostH6635 of heavenH8064 in 11the twoH8147 courtsH2691 of the houseH1004 of the LordH3068. 612He made his sonH1121 passH5674 through the fireH784, 13practicedH6049 witchcraftH6049 and usedH5172 divinationH5172, and dealtH6213 with mediumsH178 and spiritistsH3049. He didH6213 muchH7235 evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LordH3068 provokingH3707 Him to anger. 7Then 14he setH7760 the carvedH6459 imageH6459 of AsherahH842 that he had madeH6213, in the houseH1004 of whichH834 the LordH3068 saidH559 to DavidH1732 and to his sonH1121 SolomonH8010, “15In thisH2088 houseH1004 and in JerusalemH3389, whichH834 I have chosenH977 from allH3605 the tribesH7626 of IsraelH3478, I will putH7760 My nameH8034 foreverH5769. 8And I 16will not make the feetH7272 of IsraelH3478 wanderH5110 anymoreH3254 from the landH127 whichH834 I gaveH5414 their fathersH1, ifH518 onlyH7534 they will observeH8104 to doH6213 according to allH3605 that I have commandedH6680 them, and according to allH3605 the lawH8451 that My servantH5650 MosesH4872 commandedH6680 them.” 9But they did not listenH8085, and ManassehH4519 17seducedH8582 them to doH6213 evilH7451 moreH4480 thanH4480 the nationsH1471 whomH834 the LordH3068 destroyedH8045 beforeH4480H6440 the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478.

10Now the LordH3068 spokeH1696 throughH3027 His servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030, sayingH559, 11“18BecauseH3282H834 ManassehH4519 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 has doneH6213 theseH428 abominationsH8441, 19having doneH7489 wickedlyH7489 moreH4480 thanH4480 allH3605 the AmoritesH567 didH6213 whoH834 were beforeH6440 him, and 20has alsoH1571 made JudahH3063 sinH2398 21with his idolsH1544; 12thereforeH3651 thusH3541 saysH559 the LordH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, ‘BeholdH2009, I am bringingH935 such calamityH7463 on JerusalemH3389 and JudahH3063, that whoeverH3605 hearsH8085 of it, 22bothH8147 his earsH241 will tingleH6750. 1323I will stretchH5186 overH5921 JerusalemH3389 the lineH6957 of SamariaH8111 and the plummetH4949 of the houseH1004 of AhabH256, and I will wipeH4229 JerusalemH3389 as one wipesH4229 a dishH6747, wipingH4229 it and turningH2015 it upsideH5921H6440 downH6440. 14I will abandonH5203 the remnantH7611 of My inheritanceH5159 and deliverH5414 them into the handH3027 of their enemiesH340, and they will becomeH1961 as plunderH957 and spoilH4933 to allH3605 their enemiesH340; 15becauseH3282H834 they have doneH6213 evilH7451 in My sightH5869, and have beenH1961 provokingH3707 Me to angerH3707 sinceH4480 the dayH3117 their fathersH1 cameH3318 from EgyptH4714, even to thisH2088 dayH3117.’”

1624MoreoverH1571, ManassehH4519 shedH8210 veryH3966 muchH7235 innocentH5355 bloodH1818 untilH5704H834 he had filledH4390 JerusalemH3389 from oneH6310 endH6310 to anotherH6310; besidesH905H4480 his sinH2403 25with whichH834 he made JudahH3063 sinH2398, in doingH6213 evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LordH3068.
