2Ilookedוָֽאֶרְאֶה֮va.'er.'EhH7200in the visionבֶּחָזוֹן֒be.cha.zOnH2377,and while I was lookingבִּרְאֹתִ֔יbir.'o.TiH7200,I was in the citadelהַבִּירָ֔הha.bi.RahH1002ofSusaבְּשׁוּשַׁ֣ןbe.shu.ShanH7800,whichאֲשֶׁ֖ר'a.SherH834is in the provinceהַמְּדִינָ֑הha.me.di.NahH4082ofElamבְּעֵילָ֣םbe.'ei.LamH5867;and I lookedוָאֶרְאֶה֙va.'er.'EhH7200in the visionבֶּֽחָז֔וֹןbe.cha.ZonH2377,and I myselfH589was besideעַל־'al-H5921the Ulaiאוּלָֽי׃'u.LaiH195Canalאוּבַ֥ל'u.ValH180.

3Then I raisedוָאֶשָּׂ֤אva.'e.Sa'H5375my eyesעֵינַי֙'ei.NaiH5869and lookedוָאֶרְאֶ֔הva.'er.'EhH7200,and beholdוְהִנֵּ֣ה׀ve.hi.NehH2009, aramאַ֣יִל'A.yilH352which had two hornsקְרָנָ֑יִםke.ra.Na.yimH7161was standingעֹמֵ֛ד'o.MedH5975in frontלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440of the canalהָאֻבָ֖לha.'u.ValH180.Now the two hornsוְהַקְּרָנַ֣יִםve.ha.ke.ra.Na.yimH7161werelongH1364,but oneH259waslongerH1364thanמִן־min-H4480the otherהַשֵּׁנִ֔יתha.she.NitH8145, with thelongerH1364oneH1364comingH5927upH5927lastבָּאַחֲרֹנָֽה׃ba.'a.cha.ro.NahH314.

4I sawרָאִ֣יתִיra.'I.tiH7200the ramהָאַ֡יִלha.'A.yilH352buttingמְנַגֵּחַ֩me.na.ge.aChH5055westwardיָ֨מָּהYa.mahH3220,northwardוְצָפ֜וֹנָהve.tza.Fo.nahH6828,and southwardוָנֶ֗גְבָּהva.Neg.bahH5045,and noלֹֽא־lo'-H3808otherbeastsH2421could standיַֽעַמְד֣וּya.'am.DuH5975againstלְפָנָ֔יוle.fa.NavH6440him norH369wasH369thereH369anyoneH369to rescueמַצִּ֖ילma.TzilH5337from hispowerמִיָּד֑וֹmi.ya.DoH3027, buthe didוְעָשָׂ֥הve.'a.SahH6213as he pleasedכִרְצֹנ֖וֹkhir.tzo.NoH7522and madeH1431himself greatH1431.

5While I was observingמֵבִ֗יןme.VinH995,beholdוְהִנֵּ֤הve.hi.NehH2009,a maleH6842goatH6842was comingבָּ֤אba'H935from the westהַֽמַּעֲרָב֙ha.ma.'a.RavH4628overעַל־'al-H5921the surfaceפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440of the entireכָל־khol-H3605earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776withoutוְאֵ֥יןve.'EinH369touchingנוֹגֵ֖עַno.Ge.a'H5060the groundבָּאָ֑רֶץba.'A.retzH776;and the goatH6842had aprominentחָז֖וּתcha.ZutH2380hornקֶ֥רֶןKe.renH7161betweenבֵּ֥יןbeinH996his eyesעֵינָֽיו׃'ei.NavH5869.

6He cameוַיָּבֹ֗אvai.ya.Vo'H935up to the ramהָאַ֙יִל֙ha.'A.yilH352that had the two hornsהַקְּרָנַ֔יִםha.ke.ra.Na.yimH7161,whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834I had seenרָאִ֔יתִיra.'I.tiH7200standingעֹמֵ֖ד'o.MedH5975in frontלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440of the canalהָאֻבָ֑לha.'u.ValH180,and rushedוַיָּ֥רָץvai.Ya.rotzH7323at him in his mightyכֹּחֽוֹ׃ko.ChoH3581wrathבַּחֲמַ֥תba.cha.MatH2534.

7And I sawוּרְאִיתִ֞יוu.re.'i.TivH7200him comeמַגִּ֣יעַ׀ma.Gi.a'H5060up besideאֵ֣צֶל'E.tzelH681the ramהָאַ֗יִלha.'A.yilH352,and he wasH4843enragedH4843at him; and he struckוַיַּ֣ךְvai.YakhH5221the ramהָאַ֔יִלha.'A.yilH352and smashedוַיְשַׁבֵּר֙vay.sha.BerH7665his twoשְׁתֵּ֣יshe.TeiH8147hornsקְרָנָ֔יוke.ra.NavH7161,and the ramבָּאַ֖יִלba.'A.yilH352hadH1961noוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808strengthכֹ֛חַKho.achH3581to withstandלַעֲמֹ֣דla.'a.ModH5975him. So he hurledוַיַּשְׁלִיכֵ֤הוּvai.yash.li.Khe.huH7993him to the groundאַ֙רְצָה֙'ar.tzahH776and trampledH7429onH7429him, and there was noוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808one to rescueמַצִּ֛ילma.TzilH5337the ramלָאַ֖יִלla.'A.yilH352from hispowerמִיָּדֽוֹ׃mi.ya.DoH3027.

8Then the maleוּצְפִ֥ירu.tze.FirH6842goatהָעִזִּ֖יםha.'i.ZimH5795madeH1431himself exceedinglyעַד־ מְאֹ֑ד'ad- me.'OdH5704 H3966greatH1431. But oncehe becameH6105powerfulH6105, thelargeהַגְּדוֹלָ֔הha.ge.do.LahH1419hornהַקֶּ֣רֶןha.Ke.renH7161was brokenנִשְׁבְּרָה֙nish.be.RahH7665;and inH8478its placeתַּחְתֶּ֔יהָtach.Tei.haH8478fourאַרְבַּע֙'ar.Ba'H702prominentחָז֤וּתcha.ZutH2380hornscameH5927upH5927toward thefourלְאַרְבַּ֖עle.'ar.Ba'H702windsרוּח֥וֹתru.ChotH7307of heavenהַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ha.sha.Ma.yimH8064.

9And outH3318of oneH259of them cameH3318a rathersmallמִצְּעִירָ֑הmi.tze.'i.RahH6810hornקֶֽרֶן־ke.ren-H7161which grewH1431exceedinglyיֶ֛תֶרYe.terH3499greatוַתִּגְדַּל־va.tig.dal-H1431towardאֶל־'el-H413the southהַנֶּ֥גֶבha.Ne.gevH5045,towardוְאֶל־ve.'el-H413the eastהַמִּזְרָ֖חha.miz.RachH4217,and towardוְאֶל־ve.'el-H413theBeautifulהַצֶּֽבִי׃ha.Tze.viH6643Land.

10It grewH1431upH1431to the heavenlyהַשָּׁמָ֑יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064lightsצְבָ֣אtze.Va'H6635,and someמִן־min-H4480of thelightsהַצָּבָ֥אha.tza.Va'H6635,that is, someוּמִן־u.min-H4480of thestarsהַכּוֹכָבִ֖יםha.ko.kha.VimH3556it threwH5307downH5307to the earthאַ֛רְצָה'Ar.tzahH776, and ittrampledוַֽתִּרְמְסֵֽם׃Va.tir.me.SemH7429them.
