6Absalomאַבְשָׁל֜וֹם'av.sha.LomH53dealtוַיַּ֨עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213thisהַזֶּה֙ha.ZehH2088wayכַּדָּבָ֤רka.da.VarH1697with allלְכָל־le.kholH3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834cameיָבֹ֥אוּya.Vo.'uH935to the kingהַמֶּ֑לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428for judgmentלַמִּשְׁפָּ֖טla.mish.PatH4941;so Absalomאַבְשָׁל֔וֹם'av.sha.LomH53stoleוַיְגַנֵּב֙vay.ga.NevH1589the heartsלֵ֖בlevH3820of the peopleH376of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ פYis.ra.'ElH3478.

7Now it cameH1961aboutH1961at the endמִקֵּ֖ץmi.KetzH7093offourאַרְבָּעִ֣ים'ar.ba.'ImH705yearsשָׁנָ֑הsha.NahH8141that Absalomאַבְשָׁלוֹם֙'av.sha.lOmH53saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428, “Pleaseנָּ֗אNa'H4994let me goאֵ֣לֲכָה'E.la.khahH1980and payוַאֲשַׁלֵּ֛םva.'a.sha.LemH7999my vowנִדְרִ֛יnid.RiH5088whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834I have madeנָדַ֥רְתִּיna.Dar.tiH5087to the Lordלַֽיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068, inHebronבְּחֶבְרֽוֹן׃be.chev.RonH2275.

8For your servantעַבְדְּךָ֔'av.de.KhaH5650madeנָדַ֣רna.DarH5087a vowנֵ֙דֶר֙ne.derH5088while I was livingH3427in Geshurבִגְשׁ֛וּרvig.ShurH1650in Aramבַּאֲרָ֖םba.'a.RamH758,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, ‘Ifאִם־'im-H518the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068will indeedH7725bringיְשִׁיבֵ֤נִיye.shi.Ve.niH7725me backH7725to Jerusalemיְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םye.Ru.sha.LimH3389,then I will serveוְעָבַדְתִּ֖יve.'a.vad.TiH5647the LordיְהוָֽהYah.wehH3068.’”

9The kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428saidוַיֹּֽאמֶר־vai.yo.mer-H559to him, “Goלֵ֣ךְlekhH1980in peaceבְּשָׁל֑וֹםbe.sha.LomH7965.”So he gotH6965upH6965and wentוַיֵּ֥לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980to Hebronחֶבְרֽוֹנָה׃ פchev.Ro.nahH2275.

10But Absalomאַבְשָׁלוֹם֙'av.sha.lOmH53sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֤חvai.yish.LachH7971spiesמְרַגְּלִ֔יםme.ra.ge.LimH7270throughoutבְּכָל־be.kholH3605the tribesשִׁבְטֵ֥יshiv.TeiH7626of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, “As soon as you hearכְּשָׁמְעֲכֶם֙ke.sha.me.'a.KhemH8085the soundק֣וֹלKolH6963of the trumpetהַשֹּׁפָ֔רha.sho.FarH7782,then you shall sayוַאֲמַרְתֶּ֕םva.'a.mar.TemH559, ‘Absalomאַבְשָׁל֖וֹם'av.sha.LomH53isH4427kingמָלַ֥ךְma.LakhH4427in Hebronבְּחֶבְרֽוֹן׃be.chev.RonH2275!’”

11Then two hundredמָאתַ֤יִםma.Ta.yimH3967menאִישׁ֙'ishH376wentהָלְכ֞וּha.le.KhuH1980with Absalomאַבְשָׁל֗וֹם'av.sha.LomH53from Jerusalemמִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םmi.Ru.sha.LimH3389,who were invitedקְרֻאִ֖יםke.ru.'ImH7121andwentוְהֹלְכִ֣יםve.ho.le.KhimH1980innocentlyלְתֻמָּ֑םle.tu.MamH8537,for they did not knowיָדְע֖וּya.de.'UH3045anythingכָּל־ דָּבָֽר׃kol- da.VarH3605 H1697.

12And Absalomאַ֠בְשָׁלוֹם'Av.sha.lomH53sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֣חvai.yish.LachH7971forAhithophelאֲחִיתֹ֨פֶל'a.chi.To.felH302the Giloniteהַגִּֽילֹנִ֜יha.gi.lo.NiH1526,David’sדָּוִ֗דda.VidH1732counselorיוֹעֵ֣ץyo.'EtzH3289,from his cityמֵֽעִירוֹ֙me.'i.RoH5892Gilohמִגִּלֹ֔הmi.gi.LohH1542,while he was offeringבְּזָבְח֖וֹbe.za.ve.ChoH2076the sacrificesהַזְּבָחִ֑יםha.ze.va.ChimH2077.And the conspiracyהַקֶּ֙שֶׁר֙ha.Ke.sherH7195was strongאַמִּ֔ץ'a.MitzH533, forthe peopleוְהָעָ֛םve.ha.'AmH5971continuallyהוֹלֵ֥ךְho.LekhH1980increasedוָרָ֖בva.RavH7227with Absalomאַבְשָׁלֽוֹם׃'av.sha.LomH53.

13Then a messengerהַמַּגִּ֔ידha.ma.GidH5046cameוַיָּבֹא֙vai.ya.Vo'H935to Davidדָּוִ֖דda.VidH1732,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, “The heartsלֶב־lev-H3820of the peopleאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478arewith Absalomאַבְשָׁלֽוֹם׃'av.sha.LomH53.”
