15He had writtenוַיִּכְתֹּ֥בvai.yikh.ToH3789in the letterבַּסֵּ֖פֶרba.Se.ferH5612the followingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559: “Stationהָב֣וּha.VuH3051Uriahאֽוּרִיָּ֗ה'u.ri.YahH223on the frontמוּל֙mulH4136 H6440lineH4136 H6440of thefiercestהַֽחֲזָקָ֔הha.cha.za.KahH2389battleהַמִּלְחָמָה֙ha.mil.cha.MahH4421and pullH7725backוְשַׁבְתֶּ֥םve.shav.TemH7725from him,so that he may be struckוְנִכָּ֥הve.ni.KahH5221and killedוָמֵֽת׃ סva.MetH4191.”

16So it was as Joabיוֹאָ֖בyo.'AvH3097keptH8104watchבִּשְׁמ֥וֹרbish.MorH8104on the cityהָעִ֑ירha.'IrH5892, that hestationedוַיִּתֵּן֙vai.yi.TenH5414Uriahא֣וּרִיָּ֔ה'u.ri.YahH223at the placeהַמָּקוֹם֙ha.ma.kOmH4725whereאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834he knewיָדַ֔עya.Da'H3045thereשָֽׁם׃ShamH8033werevaliantחַ֖יִלCha.yilH2428menH376.
