3He didוַיַּ֤עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213whatH3477wasH3477rightהַיָּשָׁר֙hai.ya.SharH3477in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֣יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,yetH7534not like his fatherאָבִ֑יו'a.VivH1Davidכְּדָוִ֣דke.da.VidH1732;he actedעָשָׂ֛ה'a.SahH6213in accordance with everythingכְּכֹ֧לke.KholH3605that his fatherאָבִ֖יו'a.VivH1JoashH3060had doneעָשָֽׂה׃'a.SahH6213.
5Now it cameH1961aboutH1961,asH3512soonH3512asH3512the kingdomהַמַּמְלָכָ֖הha.mam.la.KhahH4467wasH2388firmlyH2388in his handבְּיָד֑וֹbe.ya.DoH3027, that hekilledוַיַּךְ֙vai.yaKhH5221his servantsעֲבָדָ֔יו'a.va.DavH5650who hadkilledהַמַּכִּ֖יםha.ma.KimH5221the kingהַמֶּ֥לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,his fatherאָבִֽיו׃'a.VivH1.
6But he did not putהֵמִ֑יתhe.MitH4191the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121ofthe murderersהַמַּכִּ֖יםha.ma.KimH5221toH4191deathיוּמְת֨וּyu.me.TuH4191, inobedience to what is writtenכַּכָּת֣וּבka.ka.TuvH3789in the Bookבְּסֵ֣פֶרbe.Se.ferH5612of the Lawתּֽוֹרַת־to.rat-H8451of Mosesמֹ֠שֶׁהMo.shehH4872,as the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068commandedצִוָּ֨הtzi.VahH6680,sayingלֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559, “The fathersאָב֤וֹת'a.VotH1shall not be putיוּמְת֣וּyu.me.TuH4191toH4191deathיוּמָֽת׃ya.mutH4191for the sonsבָּנִים֙ba.NimH1121,norH3808the sonsוּבָנִים֙u.va.NimH1121be putH4191toH4191deathH4191for the fathersאָב֔וֹת'a.VotH1; buteachאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376shall be putH4191toH4191deathH4191for his own sinבְּחֶטְא֖וֹbe.chet.'OH2399.”
