3And he didוַיַּ֤עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213that which wasrightהַיָּשָׁר֙hai.ya.SharH3477in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֣יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,yetרַ֕קrakH7535not like Davidכְּדָוִ֣דke.da.VidH1732his fatherאָבִ֑יו'a.VivH1:he didעָשָׂ֛ה'a.SahH6213according to all things as Joashיוֹאָ֥שׁyo.'AshH3101his fatherאָבִ֖יו'a.VivH1didעָשָֽׂה׃'a.SahH6213.
5And it came to pass, as soon as the kingdomהַמַּמְלָכָ֖הha.mam.la.KhahH4467was confirmedחָזְקָ֥הcha.ze.KahH2388in his handבְּיָד֑וֹbe.ya.DoH3027,that he slewוַיַּךְ֙vai.yaKhH5221his servantsעֲבָדָ֔יו'a.va.DavH5650which had slainהַמַּכִּ֖יםha.ma.KimH5221the kingהַמֶּ֥לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428his fatherאָבִֽיו׃'a.VivH1.
6But the childrenבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of the murderersהַמַּכִּ֖יםha.ma.KimH5221he slewהֵמִ֑יתhe.MitH4191not: according unto that which is writtenכַּכָּת֣וּבka.ka.TuvH3789in the bookבְּסֵ֣פֶרbe.Se.ferH5612of the lawתּֽוֹרַת־to.rat-H8451of Mosesמֹ֠שֶׁהMo.shehH4872,wherein the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068commandedצִוָּ֨הtzi.VahH6680,sayingלֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559,The fathersאָב֤וֹת'a.VotH1shall not be put to deathיוּמְת֨וּyu.me.TuH4191for the childrenבָּנִים֙ba.NimH1121,nor the childrenוּבָנִים֙u.va.NimH1121be put to deathיוּמְת֣וּyu.me.TuH4191for the fathersאָב֔וֹת'a.VotH1;but every manאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376shall be put to deathיוּמָֽת׃ya.mutH4191for his own sinבְּחֶטְא֖וֹbe.chet.'OH2399.
