Isaiah 14:28-32
28In the 1year that King Ahaz died, this 2pronouncement came:29“Do not rejoice, 3Philistia, all of you, Because the rod that 4struck you is broken; For from the serpent’s root a 5viper will come out, And its fruit will be a 6winged serpent.307Those who are most 8helpless will eat, And the poor will lie down in security; I will kill your root with 9famine, And it will kill your survivors.31Wail, you 10gate; cry, you city; 11Melt away, 12Philistia, all of you! For smoke comes from the 13north, And 14there is no straggler in his ranks.32What answer will one give the 15messengers of the nation? That 16the Lord has founded Zion, And 17the poor of His people will take refuge in it.”
