Isaiah 14:28-32

28In the 1year that King Ahaz died this 23oracle came:29“Do not rejoice, O 4Philistia, all of you, Because the rod that 5struck you is broken; For from the serpent’s root a 6viper will come out, And its fruit will be a 7flying serpent.308Those who are most 9helpless will eat, And the needy will lie down in security; I will 10destroy your root with 11famine, And it will kill off your survivors.31Wail, O 12gate; cry, O city; 13Melt away, O 14Philistia, all of you; For smoke comes from the 15north, And 16there is no straggler in his ranks.32How then will one answer the 17messengers of the nation? That 18the Lord has founded Zion, And 19the afflicted of His people will seek refuge in it.”
